What CoX backstory would you want to see?
I want a time travel story where the Megamech really does get unleashed, either in modern world or in ancient times. The Megamech must be HUGE, and like Lusca, with multiple parts. Fight the Megamech!
I want to witness the Mu-Oranbega war
More information on the Legacy chain (cool faction but not made used of enough)
Malta Group's role during and post the Cold War.
"Honesty is for the most part less profitable than dishonesty." -- Plato
Playing Gods (51106) - Heroic Lvl 5-20
What Rough Beast (255143) - Villainous Lvl 40-50
It's nice to see my thread's become so popular. And the suggestions just keep on coming from the obscure to the obvious - the variety is fantastic.
BTW, Freem, I love the idea of turning the Megamech into a Lusca-like GM - what would really kick tail is if it were clomping through a city zone and the heroes had to do the fire-and-fall-back maneuver in the process.

... you know, I could swear I remember running across a Nemesis-run dimenstion, although I'm not sure it was Steampunkified (it's been a while since I did the Portal Corp. missions)... even a mission chain that involved several Nemesi duking it out. Anybody else have anything more concrete on that?
[/ QUOTE ]
The 'Nemesis Rex' mission from Maxwell Christopher, where you fight an alternate-dimension Nemesis, who had succeeded in taking over his world. But the last time I faced him on one of my characters, it was just another laboratory-map mission. To the best of my knowledge, there is no specifically 'steampunk' map, although I would love to see the laboratory map tiles redressed in a wood, leather, and brass pseudo-Victorian style, with add-ins of cyclopean machinery -- dynamos, steam engines, piping with occasional jets of steam, huge wall panels with dials, levers, and control wheels, and the like -- all laboring away to Nemesis' hidden purposes.

The destruction of Astoria
[/ QUOTE ] This was top of my list as well........
[ QUOTE ]
My dream scenario for this is a modern take on the zone, where the Midnighters and heroes try to reclaim the zone, while villains sneak in to cause mischief (special new Mayhem mission, Strike Force, and Trial).
On top of that an Ouroboros arc that let's us witness the darkening, and do what little we can to prevent the spread of that disaster beyond the boundaries of the zone.

....until I read this great idea which made it even better.
Actual Location: Inside the system itself.

While I admit I can't think of any way to fit these into story arcs, I still think it'd be nice to have missions where via time travel people can go back and see the way zones use to be, back before they were 'revamped' (i.e. Rikti Crash Site, Faultline, maybe the Hallows), or even flat out removed (Catherdral of Pain [yeah, not a real zone, but it'd still be nice to see what this map actually looked like]).
I know there have been/are bugs in the game where people have occasionally ended up in one of these (Crash Site), but as a newer player I'll admit I'm curious what some of these use to look like, and if they could be somehow tied into fleshing out bits of backstory, even better!

Same here (and I'm guessing it could tie in with the binding of Bat'zul idea.)
I really want to know what Crey is up to at the Utopia Complex in Eden.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, the Blood of the Black Stream (not Black Blood of the Earth, which is a salvage item) are supposedly some Egyptian enemy group. They have only been mentioned in game on villains by one person, Duke Madragor (sp?) a Hellion, and are mentioned in brief on the back of a CoH TCG character card. Can be found at Paragon Wiki under Blood of the Black Stream.
I would love them to be added, though. They are described as shape-shifting assassins, and I was hoping they would be the villain EAT, but, oh well. Always the future of EATs if more ever get added.

First off, a general sound of fustration, cause I was just writing up some unanswered questions in CoX storylines, but I can't find my CoX notebook. Guess I'll just have to put in what I do remember:
Possible exploration of the Rogue Arachnos/Malta connection.
The various hints about Weaver 1 in the 40-50 villian arcs brought to a head.
Hess's connection to Arachnos.
Why, in Rikti War I, the Rikti avoided Talos Island, but during the I10-now Rikti attacks, go after it just like anyplace else.
What happened to Lord of Frosts, head of the Japanesse Imperial Wind superhuman group during WWII, after killing Captain Volcano near the end of the war.
More about the Rulaaruu, such as his imprisionment by the Midnight Squad in the 60s-70s.
I know there are more, but these are the ones I haven't seen in this thread yet (in what I've read, think I've only read up until page 9).

World War II - the attack from the 5th Column on Independence Port
[/ QUOTE ]
That'd be a good Ouroboros arc.
Heroes fight alongside Atlas. They are the reason he was able to hold out as long as he did.
Villains help kill him. His death helped rally the heroes and the country, making him into an icon for generations. In order for the Allies to win the war... Atlas must die.
[/ QUOTE ]
Alternately.... villains just want to use the 5th column attack as a distraction. Their job is to set the whole thing up, providing material, plans and technology, while fending off some attempts by interfering heroes to disrupt the invasion.
Then while the 5th column is attacking, they slip off and accomplish some other objective, planned by Lord Recluse. Maybe something related to the fountain he and Statesman drank from (are it's waters perhaps saved somewhere?) or planting someone or something in Arachnos so LR can usurp later.
Two sides don't have to directly oppose each other... Heroes might save Paragon City and LR might accomplish his goal at the same time ... tie score ... just as it ever was.
-Hamidon's 'evolution', it's explained in a few story arcs but I'd like to see a cutscene
-The Hollowing, love to see the Trolls and such devastate the former Eastgate.
-The Darknening of Astoria
-Rikti Homeworld
-Early histories of the Freedom Phalanx
-History of the Sky Raiders

I really, really, really want to know what happened to Recluse and Arachnos in the Praetorian dimension. Lord Recluse needs interdimensional versions too.
Also, more Reichsman, please.
I would like to see more explanation of the Hordelings and why look so much like Bat'zul except with ice powers...is there a ice demon lord to mirror Bat'Zul's fire?

Ooooh good question. Or, do their inner fires cool when they are seperated from Bat'Zul. Like, without Bat'Zul to provide hellfire, the hordelings become bitterly cold? I don't know, I'm sort of rambling. Would be pretty cool though.

I would like to see the story behind Boomtown, which may go along with a re-do of that zone, because it badly needs it.

Agent Silver lvl 50 AR/Devices Blaster
Emergency Response lvl 50 Emp/Archery Defender
Frigidfist lvl 50 Ice/Ice Tank

Scarlet Hand almost lvl 50 DB/Dark Scrapper
I want to go back in time and fight the final battle against the Storm Korps. I also want to see boomtown turned into a massive 5th column base led by the Reichsman.
I want to see what happened in dark astoria, what the sleeper is, and what other plans the ban pans have to try to get it to wake up. also maybe save some of the souls? that would mke for a great tf, rescuing 100 souls from dark astoria.
and, as always i want to find out whats with merluna. maybe we need to sink down to an underwater realm and find out? we'd need some costume bits, custom weapons, and new powers, wouldnt we? :P
Hooray, three rednames on my thread!
Hmmm... an underwater realm for the Coralax, that could be cool...

Some CoH/V lore I'd love to see fleshed out:
Up, Up and Decay - The Secret History of Superadine. As shown in PagaonWiki, there are a lot of secrets about dyne that aren't in the lore. Apparently whatever was discovered in the original dyne lab in Boomtown was so explosive Statesman and BABs swore it to secrecy. The cat could come out of the bag and fill in a lot of info about who really created superadine and for what purpose.
Double Negative - The Destruction of the Rikti Homeworld. Nemesis sent through automaton versions of the Freedom Phalanx to provide an interdimensional war. Problem is that stopping this act would leave the Earth completely defenceless against the Coming Storm, so it has to happen. However, heroes can see the Rikti world before it was plunged into war while helping minimise the casualties, but villains get free reign to destroy all the Rikti they can target.
On the Flip Side - The Praetorian Empire. A distress message has been recovered from a world under Praetorian control begging for assistance. Characters who answer the call get to see the Praetorian version of some very well known characters such as The Vahzilok King (a powerful psychic who's body was ruined by an 'interrogation' beating by the Praetorian Blue Steel named Copper Shield who now uses his powers to animate the dead and fight against his oppressors), the outlaws in the Crey Resistance and the inhabitants of the Rogue Islands.
Wow, can't believe I read that all hehe... Great stuff, and I happen to agree with well, all of them I love the lore of this game and lots of it hasn't been touched beyond clues and hints.
However something that has bugged me forever and something I'm REALLY surprised hasn't been said yet was: I really really want to know who Weaver One is *always pictured him as this massive tarantulafied super scientist at the core of all of Recluse's tech. Hooked up as the foundation peice and pretty much -the- Arachno network connecting it all together.* And I'd love to know who the true founder of Arachnos was.
Besides that, things at the top of my list would have to be the Kheld war *still wished villains and nictus could work together or meet sometimes heh.* As well as Astoria and well all the other things happening around the world. Oh and the members of the Black Stream.
Where did Founder's Falls get its name? Who were.are the founders? And why is there no waterfall in the zone?

NOOOO! CLOCKWORK KINGDOM!
Not that Reichsman can't reappear tho. That'd be neat.
I'd like to journey back into time and help Jennie and Henry Bassie, Miss Akihora, and Big Six in the 1920s adventure as related in "A Path into Darkness."
I'd also like to have an adventure where we meet Maiden Justice, and the early Freedom Phalanx.
