Wow, can't believe I read that all hehe... Great stuff, and I happen to agree with well, all of them
I love the lore of this game and lots of it hasn't been touched beyond clues and hints.
However something that has bugged me forever and something I'm REALLY surprised hasn't been said yet was: I really really want to know who Weaver One is *always pictured him as this massive tarantulafied super scientist at the core of all of Recluse's tech. Hooked up as the foundation peice and pretty much -the- Arachno network connecting it all together.* And I'd love to know who the true founder of Arachnos was.
Besides that, things at the top of my list would have to be the Kheld war *still wished villains and nictus could work together or meet sometimes heh.* As well as Astoria and well all the other things happening around the world. Oh and the members of the Black Stream. -
Woo, you guys are amazing, thank you all so much!! =^.^=

Well i've never used Amazon so it could be i had no idea where I was looking or maybe just wrote it all wrong, but I couldnt find anything.
-
Hrmm, best buy maybe ya. Thank you both, i'll keep trying but I'm determined to get one ^^
-
I tried Amazon but couldnt find any products. And yeah, I was looking at the Bamboo Fun ones, which are like, exactly what I want :3 but sadly they only ship to places in the states... at least that's what it looks like after a bit of looking around.

Basically as the title implies, I'm trying to look into getting a computer art Tablet, those little pads you can draw on and will show up on the computer. Well I've done some looking around, and what normaly comes up is wacom. Well problem is I live in canada so ordering one is impossible.
My question is, does anyone know where I could maybe get one, what sort of tablet they'd recommend and, well maybe something not too expensive? I just want to use it mostly for drawing and colouring and such, so if any of you have any advice what so ever I would greatly appriciate it. -
After such a great list I almost feel guilty for asking for something as large as an entire new leveling path heh. Another zone to replace shark or the really irritating lul in martial would be nice.
And I don't mean to sorta derail things but look up the legacy on ParagonWiki. There's a lot more potential there and *okay so my 'balance' analogy wasn't the best* but a 'good' version to all the Circle missions would just be appreciated. Also look at one of Manticor's powers, he can teleport one of those silly arrows into your brain >.> I guess what I'm saying is that CoX is plagued by waaaaaay too many villain/hero groups that are either gunners or energy user *yeah i know I'm exaggerating but still*
Anyway it's unlikely that any of the listed stuff will happen for quite some time but the idea is that with what sounds like double to maybe triple original staff, they'll be able to look at the list and try to nip something small now and then or see it as a 'Hrmm what can we add since we still have time for this new Issue.'
Here's hoping, great list! -
See the thing is I'm not suggesting they stay the same for fifty levels, they would gain new and interesting powersets as they get more dangerous.
The reason they were suggested is they're the only heroic groups besides longbow and PPD that appear at all. Now after 50 levels of longbow I think a lot of people are tired of slug/burst, flame, sonic grenades... What makes PPD so great is they actually level as you get stronger. Starting with cops with pistols to swat and special forces with machine guns to full armoured suits to psychics and finally robots, drones and cosmic powered cops!
The Legacy Chain is a heroic group who've tasked themselves with making sure that magic does not fall into the wrong hands. They're the balance between the wars of Mu and Thorns, trying to save humanity from tampering with things we don't understand. They aren't religious fanatics they are wielders of the elements and arcane that have sworn to keep an eye on the world and our use of magic.
Legacy Chain could later get storm/sonic, leadership powers or water/ice, give their champions dual wield or swords and shields and luminescences defense powers.
Wyvern is also a funded group to hunt down villains before they get out of hand, they are a group that works behind the scene and aren't afraid to kill. They could be seen as anti-hero style assassins and could have stealth and teleport powers as well as more powerful Arch/TA attacks and maybe even some poison based daggers or other high tech equipment.
This is just my opinion naturally but I personally feel they are great groups and should have been used instead of some of the Longbow missions. -
Nice work Apocryha! I think I agree with the priority list as it stands.
Could add Brute fury a joke in pvp but I think the devs know enough already -
I'd like to add for Ex and any dev looking though that while that list is rather big, some are rather major, some are just recommended and others are just little QoL and immersion fixes.
-
Personally I really think Wyvern and the Legacy Chain need to go to 50. The PPD are amazing at how great they change and never get boring. I'd actually be all for Longbow getting new unites since they're basically: guy/girl with gun or flamer.
Oh! and for the love of cats please, please! fix the spine wardens so they don't kill rescuables... -
I could agree on both, I mean they do try to sabotage Aeon Corp. so they could have tech on them at any time. But they're just too... I don't know, they just strike me as the type that should also have magic on them.
Edit because I hate wasted potential!: Up the levels of the Legacy chain, make them go to 50 and even have them change like the Circle does. Have holy warriors and water and other elemental mages. Heck you could give them shields and dual swords too and some mako style water blasts. They're the good guy version of the circle right? So why can't we see them more often then Longbow all the time. -
Well... Less pop yes but also really hard to get some salvage at certain levels. Grandville is basically tech/magic, RWZ is tech and with the new i12 stuff we might finally see a magic zone, that should fix a LOT.
Oh, speaking of salvage, fix the people that don't make sense at low level... The legacy of Chain still drop tech and even the Luddites do too! -
I'll bite, contacts that suck up to you, or are terrified of you or even contacts that end with you betraying them. If possible put them in existing or new zones.
Also, add those zones in where the game starts to drop off a bit. Could make the zones very thematic and less dystopia cities? (like ghost towns or mystic places that are more BP and Legacy chain related?) -
Does it matter? I play villain side almost exclusively since I dislike hero side. Why do I dislike heroes? Well many reasons, but some of the reasons are I just like villains overall more. I'm going to use a 'gasp' immersion statement into this, see, I like the anti-hero, the villain, the morally corrupt rival, the revengist, the bad guy that comes in just to cause trouble for the hero at the perfect moment. Bad guys are more appealing because they usually have to have more reasons then 'for justice'
Does this game cover all of that? Heck no but it gets some right and those are the great moments and the rest I can usually fill in the blanks with my own RP or with friends.
I could name you list of reasons I don't like heroes, starting with ATs and zone jumping every mission with days before the jerk gives me their cell number. I chose to ignore hero side because it just doesn't do it for me. I do have heroes and I've gotten them pretty high but nothing manages to keep me there beyond friends now and then. Faultline was great! croatoa was neat for the atmosphere and the RWZ was amazing *even if I did do it as a villain*
So while I don't mind them fixing hero side, hell I encourage it! But due to low people power, funding, whatever the reason, they haven't been able to address what I like and it's depressing sometimes how long it takes. Inventions are fun, the RWZ was masterfully done if sadly basically a hero zone though, I never have time for Hami but at least the Ouroborous SFs are fun if still slightly confusing why we should care about Recluse's needs half the time.
They're getting better, and while I'm not springing for joy over Arachnos V.EATs, at least they are V.EATs and I will happily play them.
I guess my point is, whether you try to pretend the games are separate or together, At least keep both sides in mind and try to fix their weaknesses. Revamp hero zones and TFs but give villains new zones and SFs so that my one go through the stuff isn't all there is to offer -
Wow, that's one heck of a great compilation! Now if only the devs would look at them.
-
Clouded is sorta right, there are a lot of walls that sadly should never have been up upon the creation of CoV. If they ever make a City of Heroes 2, then villains should be in it at release and mingled the right way.
I'm not against all the mingling and stuff but it should have been done the right way first, as such we sorta have to pay for it now and reasonably the devs just dont have the power to make 16 or so hero zones useful to villains anymore then the 6 or 7 we have to for heroes. -
I'll jump for new unique zones. I've gotten sorta tired of saving the world alongside heroes and missions that are mirror opposites. Over two years and dozens and dozens of alts, well you start to get a little tired of doing the same missions all the time, and your only alternative to them is paper missions. I wouldn't mind new contacts in existing zones since places like nerva or martial could easily fit some in. But zones come with flavor.
Mercy: Darwinism and dystopia.
Oakes: dockside town and mafia haven.
Cap: Hight of good business, university and demon possessed power plant
Shark: Mining island with magic secret.
Nerva: Multi-island city with massive jungle and source of magic.
Martial: The Giza, gambling and the big city of the Islands.
Grandville: The source of evil, the core of the empire of doom.
Abyss: Jurassic park style island of dread and Hami.
So yeah, besides pvp and monkey island that's it as far as villains and their point of view goes. We're the Destined ones, and when we're not saving hero butts against Rikti and time travelers, Recluse and his plot to take over the world is as ancient and one liner as the islands themselves. There are four more islands, and there are plenty of themes that have been given before. I'm sure the devs are already planning many more coexisting zones or something but a true separate path that gives more lore on the Islands or the reason for people to be in them would be nice.
More new themed islands with missions and SFs!
Please? -
Okay, then here's a thought, why has Recluse allowed an -ambassador- to remain alive in his tower after having it bombed every couple of hours. I loved the RWZ but it needed more thought from a few more angles. There are too many opportunities to make a profit off the Vanguard, heck finding out who the honoree is should net you the biggest black mail in existence, that is if you even know how he is *the vanguard think you know but you've never heard his name ever in CoV :P* So yeah, as great as it was there are some things that are a little odd... Like recluse's alliance with the rikti that bombed him and yet here he is turning the other cheek with a smile. You can't tac on new things without considering the old, Recluse should have at least said something or given an explanation on the situation to the Destined ones.

I told you the art was free Kyou, but thank you anyway hehe =^^=

1) FelFox (stalker Claw/Dark)
2) Focus (*from hide* especialy on greens)
3) Fel bounds right up to the target and just lets her claws shoot forward, impaling the target and sending the totaly shocked target flying on his butt or several feet back.
4) favorite is carnies, all that silly psi damage and end sucking does nothing as they go flying from a clawy onslaught =^^= Worst are Crey 35+ all those tank armors and energy attacks just hurt my claws and armor...
