Since the origins of all the other Arachnos Patrons have come up, I'm gonna throw Black Scorpion some love. I'm sure the writers could come up with something that would rival the Death of Ghost Widow, Corruption of Scirocco or Taming of Captain Mako.

Also, another vote for the Mu/Oranbega conflict. And for truly over the top high-powered stuff, take a few steps even further back... the Tielekku & Co. vs. the Not-Banished-Yet Pantheon!

I also kind of want to fight against Nemesis in the U.S. Civil War, but I fear that most of the players have had more than enough of Nemesis by now...

That'd be a good Ouroboros arc.

Heroes fight alongside Atlas. They are the reason he was able to hold out as long as he did.

Villains help kill him. His death helped rally the heroes and the country, making him into an icon for generations. In order for the Allies to win the war... Atlas must die.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is the one I'm most interested in seeing. For four years now, I've toyed with a fanfic (never started, but really, I have the whole epic piece written in me brayne) named "The Day Atlas Fell" that recounts the last two days of his life, and what happened the day the Nazis came to call on Indy Port.

When I heard that the mission creator was announced, I ws thinking of putting my efforts into that. But if you guys opted to do it for me instead, by all means!

-Darkening of Dark Astoria for sure. Maybe add a TF for it, wich would trigger zombie invasions upon completion?

-Destruction of Siren's call
-Destruction of Baumtown
-Binding of Bat'zul
-"Death" of GhostWidow
-"Death" of War Witch.
-The day Atlas fell
-Original Rikti Invasion
-Original invasion of the Rularuu

Just off the top of my head. These would make great ouroboros TFs.

By the way, pardon my ignorance, but what's Brass Monday?

Brass Monday was Nemesis' first 'large-scale' act of supervillainy; you can find some details on it here, although the plot (this being Nemesis) was a bit more involved than the stub article suggests.

Also, talnar- Miss Liberty and Ms. Liberty are two separate people- that's why there's two secret identities for her (Miss Liberty is Ms. Liberty's mom).

Hmm... y'know, one bit of backstory I wouldn't mind seeing expanded on- the Freakshow, despite being a very popular villain group... we really don't know a whole lot about them. Where'd they come from? How'd they get their cybernetics?

The Freakshow started up when Dreck (and his crew at the time) hit a stash of chemicals (Maybe Supradyne, but I think it was something else.. I want to say something Crey was playing with, but it may well be the Supradyne we've come to know and love), and did some 'sampling' of the merchandise. They found out that the chemicals gave them some pretty wicked-stupid endurance and durability - that they soon realized would let them modify their bodies with cybernetics far beyond what most people would be able to take.

They dope up on the drugs, get their wetware mods, and then procede to have a bit of a party. They're, really, like your standard anti-establishment underground culture focused on rage and anger (possible side-effects of the drug may include...), that are a bit more militant in nature because of their advanced cybernetics that, when combined with their drug of choice, makes them a lot tougher then your standard street thugs (Dare I say... Superhumanly so?).

They're up above most of the other street-punks because their cybernetics (combined with drug use and other violent practices) give them much easier access to the upper-tier of superhuman ability... which is why you see them so late in the game, and why they stay there through the whole run to 50.

I would like to see the Regulators backstory turned into an Ouroboros story arc.

Scroll to the bottom for the Cliff notes, if walls of text make you cry like a girly man /endarnold voice

I would like to see the back stories of a bunch of the giant statues that are all over paragon. In the form of a TF/SF. Now my wall of..er i mean musings.

i would like to see a mid range TF that has each mission be the story for each of the giant statues we see all over paragon. Most have some kinda story plaque around them i do believe. Have the arc be called "History of Fallen Heroes" and have it be from some contact thats obsessed with fallen heroes of paragon. Or if not all 2-3 of them.

This is how i have it worked out in my crazy head.

Hero side

A contact in Talos would have the TF. It would be lvl 25-30 range. The story would be some thing like.

"Greetings my name is "Mr.Time travely dude name here". and i am from what is known as Ouroboros. A place that is in time it self(note: or where ever it is. never paid much attention to the oro story. sorry hero1 lol). There are big problems in the future of this planet, and only you can help solve them. But before you can go and help with these problems, i need to make sure you know what kind of sacrifices that may be asked of you. So to make sure you understand the gravity of this endeavor i will have you see first hand what it takes to be a true hero of paragon. By learning from the greatest heroes paragon has ever seen.

Thats not all. It gets worse. Much worse. You see, there is a group of villains out there that are trying to do everything they can to make sure these heroes die when they did. So be careful when your out there, because not only will you need to help the heroes with their original impossible missions, but you will need to do it and fight off these villains too."

Villain

A contact in Sharkhead would have the TF. It would be lvl 25-30 range. It would be the same as the hero one only from the villain point of view. Some thing like.

"Greetings my name is "Mr.Time travely dude name here". I am from what is known as Ouroboros. I have come from the future to tell you of a great event that will one day engulf this planet, and destroy everything on it. That is unless someone with your amazing power could help us in the future. Now i know what you are thinking. Why should i care about this stuff. I will just beat the snot out of who ever try s this thing when the time comes, then go back to my plans. Trust me. this is bigger then any one person could possible imagine, and it will take the combined powers of ALOT of people to keep this from happening. Now. if you are still interested, before i can let you into Ouroboros you will need to past a test, to prove your abilities. There is a group of heroes that are traveling back in time, and are currently messing with major events. It would appear as tho they are going to all the major events of the past, where one of Paragons heroes had to sacrifice himself to stop something bad from happening. Now i understand why they would want to go back and save these people, but unfortunately we cant let this happen. As harsh as it may seem those heroes need to die. We have foreseen what happens if even one of these heroes doesn't die when they are supposed to, and the outcome isn't very pretty."

Now to tie the two together. The last few missions on the hero one can be where you find out that the contact is actually manipulating the heroes and having them go back, and save all these heroes to make certain things happen. So that he can do some big master plan of his. Perhaps have it be something like, because these heroes don't die Mender Silos is never born and this guy some how takes over the orobus thingy and uses it for his own agenda, instead of saving the future earth like Mender wants to.

So the villain arc turns out to be that you are actually fighting off this group of heroes who think they are trying to do the right thing. And the hero arc is them thinking you are just trying to be evil, when in fact the good guys are being bad and versa vice :grind: lol

Now during these missions on the hero side, have it so you need to stop this group of villains from interfering. Have it set up so that You are following along the story as its supposed to be according to the plaques. But at some point have this group of viallins come out and start attacking you. You are too busy trying to hel the hero of the mission do his thing so you dont stop to ask why they are doing what they are doing till later on in the story arc.

I would go into more detail, and re write this mess so it makes more sense. But I'm sure you get the general idea of it. but this wall of text is evil looking enough. and i doubt anyones gonna read it all any way lol but ya. thats my "i been up for two days and this just popped into my head so I'm trying to type it out b4 i forget" idea And if they dont do this. i will try to do something like it once the mission maker comes out when ever that does

*Cliff Notes*
Hero/villain TF/SF where you go back in time to all the major events where heroes had to sacrifice them selves to stop something. Mainly all the giant statues you see all over paragon. While you do this you must fight off a team of villains trying to stop you from saving the heros lives. But at the end of the TF you find out the contact who sent you on the TF is manipulating you into doing this so that he can destroy/take over the world. So you must then team up with the villains to take down this contact who would be a extra hard AV, or a group of 2-3 AV's.

The villain would be the same missions . You fight to the same points. Only you fight this group of heroes instead of villains. And at the end you beat them and tell them whats going on, and they see what they have been doing wrong, and team up with you to take down that same guy/group to stop this from happening again.

The main idea tho is to learn about the back stories for all those giant statues you see all over the place. But you eventually find out about this plot to take over Ouroboros too. So this could be the "Official" way to get the Ouroboros portal. i don't mean to take away how we can do it now. Just story wise. This could be how your "Supposed" to get into Ouroboros. So we can have a story for how we get into the Ouroboroszone, instead of just having the portal magically drop from the sky and now your in Ouroboros. lol

Hamidon's power is being used to stabilise the gateway to the Rikti homeworld. The Riders were already "four of the Rikti's most fearsome warriors" (Lady Grey's mission briefing) before they came to Earth. I think your 'obvious' conclusion is wrong in this case.

I'd like the stories of the heroes named on the plaques we hunt around to get the history badges.

Galaxy Girl and Atlas for starters!

Maybe being able to fight alongside some of the heroes we've only seen as statues so far. (Maybe a misson added for "each" of the big statues dotted around Paragon?)

If they're important enough to have parts of Paragon City named after them then they need to have their arcs made

I'm still suspicious that Marshall Blitz is ultimately nothing more than a ploy to give Recluse control of the rockets while retaining plausible deniability.

I mentioned this in suggestions a few days ago, but it fits here, so I'll mention it again:

We've got the Historian badge that relates the events that lead to the creation of the United Nations Special Council on Superhuman Activities. The catalyst was a terrorist act by unknown forces that struck against a cell of the Midnight Squad; 40-some people who were undercover in Terra Volta, pursuing some unknown goal.

We also have a Midnight Club with an Aspect of the Pillar and a leader who can retain his reality despite changes in the timestream.

This seems like a natural setup for a story that involves exploring what those Midnighters were doing, why they were hiding, what happened, and what the consequences of interfering in the event might be. (If the U.N. Special Council never formed, what else might not exist?)

The whole of the game has this humongous tapestry of story threads and events and whatnot, but a large majority of them have only been hinted at. I'm curious to know what some folks would like to see actually fleshed out, explained, developed, whatever...

For myself, that list includes:

The destruction of Astoria
The Kheldian War
The history between the Midnight Squad and Ouroboros
The discovery of Praetorian Earth
The 'creation' of Crey's Folly
Recluse's rise to power within Arachnos (beyond what's in "Web of Arachnos")
What happened to the Dark Watcher
Who Lady Grey is

You get the idea. What are some of the story elements that the rest of you would want to see in more detail?

After reading Web of Arachnos, I don't remember the plot being more involved at all. Nemesis was little more than a mob boss extorting money from people in the book, which really didn't feel like him.

I'd love to see a temporary (re: maybe 5-6 weeks on live) TF that has you going back in time and actually SAVING one of the major "dead" heroes, like Galaxy Girl.

After the time limit for that TF is up then we get Galaxy Girl (or whatever hero it is) as a new contact with a TF about the true origin of her powers...She's the first Kheldian!

What? It could happen.

I agree with a lot of the suggestions. In order of pereference, I would love to see some of the following Oroboros missions.

1. An Atlas arc. Have it start with you meeting and getting to know Atlas, perhaps helping him fight his arch nemisis the Teal Serpent. In fact, it may be cool to have the Teal Serpent be a time traveller himself (explains why he disapeared). The arc leads up to the events of Atla's death, and then the Hero's have to stop the time traveling Teal Serpent in the present or near future.

2. A Reichman Arc. One thing that I always wondered about... Why didn't the 5th Column try to spring the Reichman when it looked like they were losing the battle with the Council? Perhaps a faction within the 5th, who became dis-illusioned with Requiem's leadership, wanted a new more powerful leader. Perhaps they did try, and it was the hero's or villians who stopped them.

3. A WW2 European arc. Help States and company take down the Storm Korpz.

4. A Faultline arc. Go back in time to the events that surrounded the creation of Faultline, and witness the events (meeting Jim Tremblor as a boy while you are at it).
