Agreed...but both are TANKER effects...no such thing for a scrapper...period. Therefore, acceptable.

In fact, I've often said that Martial Arts is, conceptually, the same as Super Strength; a "natural" set, physical damage, mostly knockback, but with some stuns. (More stuns for MA, but more knockback with SS)

However, this also points out that Claws, in a gameplay sense, is also related to SS. Both are extremely fast, low End cost power sets balanced for prolonged fights, not burst damage. MA is more like EM in that respect, slower and more damage. (Although of course EM has the advantage of not being physical damage)

Anyway, I haven't tried the changes yet, but I have a Claws Scrapper so I'm sure I'll try it out.

i just want to straighten this out first off...i wasnt complaining about the fact that none of the animations are new...i was just stating it for people that dont have claws ect.

and i dont understand where the whole claws/MA/SS/EM thing came from. all i know is i have all 4 sets at or over 32 and none of them are the same.
anyways i think overall the changes are fine...i just wish slash was before strike now in the power line up.

so i tested the animations a bit last night on my claw/SR

first thing i noticed for anyone that doesnt have a claws is that none of the animations are new. swipe is the same animation as barrage in the energy melee set, strike is the same animation as jab from super strengh and slash is strikes old animation.

first thing i noticed is while swipe is faster and slash is a LOT faster...it seems strike is a slower animation now (it does look sweet though). i enjoyed the speed of the old strike animation (now with slash) for the fact that even though its pretty bad damage, it made up for it in speed.

i know im splitting hairs here but as im sure every claws scrapper knows, speed is everything with that set. I would be perfectly content if maybe the damage was upped a tad for strike or if they switched slash and strike tier wise so i could get slash at lvl one and skip both swipe and strike like i did with swipe and slash in the past.

energy damage for focus and shockwave would be nice but i dont expect it to happen.

lol i was in warburg fighting and there was a team with 2 empaths....ummm yeah get a [censored] load of clear mind stacked on someone and they can see you like you dont even have stealth and hide on...it was like they were seeing me from halfway across the map...which leads to this...why dont they limit the amount of one buff someone can have on them at one time? i think it is truely sad when im teaming with 3 friends where 2 of them are empaths and they can stack so much CM on my other friend (around 24 clear minds at one time) that he was able to walk around normally while resting!!!

i think city of apathetic people would be a fun game....

This was one of the hardest sets to define. It falls out of line with the "normal" Defender sets. It isn't a buff set, its a debuff set. Its really a different playstyle than Defenders have had before.

For those who complain that the Archetypes who have the fewest sets were overlooked... the next planned powersets are melee based.

i also want to thank you especially Irish for always being there for me too and always helping me realize what is most important in this game when i have thought about quitting...having fun
