  1. Just wanted to remind folks who are interested, this starts tonight at 9pm EST. So roll up a beam rifle, time manipulation, or robotics toon, give 'em a sci fi look and come on down to Atlas (behind City Hall) this evening. Expect multiple runs of the sewer trial I'm guessing.
  2. Pretty much DW (though the character doesn't actually have to be someone attending a scifi con or anything like that.)
  3. Okay folks, so with the release of i21 and a couple new powersets I thought it was time for a new themed SG: NERDCON ONE.

The SG is both power-based and (very loosely) theme-based.

In terms of powersets your character must have one of the following: Time Manipulation, Beam Rifle or Robotics.

Also your character has to be sci-fi themed. We are being very broad about what counts as sci-fi here. Star Wars, Star Trek, steampunk, cyberpunk, Futurama, whatever. Basically any sort of look that one might find at your average sci-fi convention.

The plan is to meet every Tuesday at 9pm EST starting next Tuesday (the 20th.) And let's say for the first meeting we'll assemble at the area in the back of City Hall in Atlas (yeah, also this is going to be a blueside thing.)

    Hope to see you there.
  4. Still haven't gone insane yet (though I am like totally working on like another Becky arc like right now and junk.)
  5. Thank you all. I feel so like totally honored and junk!
  6. Come on folks, someone out there's gotta want this for 3 bill. I'll even craft the darn thing for you! PM me or send me an ingame tell @New Age Ronin.
  7. That is rather obnoxious.

Well played, sir. Well played indeed!
  8. Selling: One [Gladiator's Armor: +Res (Teleportation), +3Def (All).10] recipe.

    Price: 3 billion inf

Contact me via PM or send me a tell in-game @New Age Ronin.

    Hami Raid

I'm gonna try for a no-retreat Raid (though that could change as we go along.) So starting at around 5:30PM EST or so I'm going to be leading some EoE teams in PI.

Hope to see all you folks at the raid!

    Hami Raid

Awww Laser stepped up to lead? Damn. Now I'm sorry I left due to need for sleep/frustration. Glad everyone took Hami down in the end at least.
  11. The Blood of the Black Stream and the Dark Astoria situation (which I think will be dealt with at some point soon given the amount it's mentioned in the tip missions) are definitely up there for me.

One that nobody mentioned so far is the interfaction strife within the Freakshow. Yes, you put a stop to it in the level 30-35 Freakshow arc and then you get to beat up Dreck in a lvl 45+ mission, but it doesn't really feel like a good ending to it. I think we really need to see Upstart bust out of prison and be taken down in a story arc at some point.
  12. The Eidolon gloves and boots would be nice (to go with the chaos leather set.)

You thought Rikti were bad? They are bunny-rabbits compared to these Nictus I have in mind. Conquering earth and enslaving humanity? Waste of time for the Nictus. Possess as many as necessary and then just kill everyone. Blot out the sun while you're at it. Wipe out all evidence of Earth ever having had life, and wipe the entire history of humanity away forever. Then do it again on the next world
Ok, this I like. The only problem is why hasn't it happened yet? The Nictus have been on Earth for millennia. If this was their goal, then they kinda suck at it (unless the idea is that there wasn't advanced enough technology to bring them to the planet en masse until recently- which actually fits with a few of the arcs now that I think of it.)
  14. To me, the most interesting thing about the Council and the Nictus is the Path of the Dark: a secret society that has been operating from the shadows for centuries. I would say that the Council should lose the vamps and robots (have Nosferatu, Vandal and Burkholder defect to the 5th) and stick with Nictus-based stuff (as was suggested above) and become more of an Illuminati-type group.
  15. I like the idea of expanding the BHC line and would also suggest adding one in PO that goes from somewhere around the Arena District out to Fort Hades.

I'd also like to see an Indepedence Port South station added.
  16. I definitely think Black Scorpion comes to respect you by the end of his Patron arcs, although you could also argue he's getting behind you out of fear because you are clearly the more powerful villain (underneath all his armor, he is a bit of a fraidy cat.) I will say that his third patron arc is really worth checking out. There are some pretty cool maps in it and the NPC dialogue in one of the missions is hilarious.

As for Mako, as others have pointed out, he never really respects you, but I do have to give him credit for being completely honest with you (well, most of the time anyways) about how he views your relationship. Fair warning though (again as others have pointed out), the final mission of his second arc is incredibly frustrating. However, in his first arc you do get to beat the $#&! out of Ace McKnight, and beating the $#&! out of Ace McKnight it always a good thing.

Works for me! It's about time I get my very own issue.....

I know it won't happen (cause there's been like zero mention of it anywhere,) but I would love it if we got some new patrons added redside like Aeon and Weaver-1.
  18. Nemesis: When you carry a flamethrower welded to a machine gun, it doesn't matter how silly your uniform looks.
  19. Freakshow: It's all fun and games until you realize you need to use the bathroom....
  20. Carnies: Because somewhere, deep inside all of us, is the desire to beat up a Renaissance Fair.

  21. I always fel tthe easy solution for Verandi's arc is to switch it from Hardcase to Ice Mistral. She is definitely more connected than your villain is at that point and she's a total brat anyways, so it wouldn't be out of character for her to yell at and threaten your villain (as for why she would care about the fate of St. Martial, you could say she is acting on Scirocco's orders.)
  22. Arc Name: Payback, Tarantula Style
    Arc ID: 235630
    Faction: Villain
Creator Global/Forum Name: New Age Ronin
Difficulty Level: slightly difficult (first mission has 3 bosses to defeat in it and last mission has one EB/AV to defeat, but in both cases you have allies to help you.)
Synopsis: Help Becky the Newly-Promoted Tarantula Queen get back at Ice Mistral for humiliating her.
Estimated Time to Play: 33-40 minutes or a little less if you can ghost stuff.

This is the third Becky arc I've done, and it sort of acts like you've run the first two (#60197 "Becky's Revenge" and #229350 "Becky and Mandy: A Tale of Two Mistresses.") You don't have to run them or anything to follow the story though (though I'd appreciate feedback on them as well.)

As always, I welcome any input. Thanks!
  23. Arc Name: Becky and Mandy: A Tale of Two Mistresses
    Arc ID: 175000
    Faction: Villainous
Creator Global/Forum Name: New Age Ronin
Difficulty Level: Moderate (no EBs or AVs but Carnies can be a pain for some ATs)
Synopsis: Becky the Tarantula Mistress needs some help. Her friends are in danger and someone from her past has returned and it could mean a lot of trouble for Arachnos if some totally awesome villain doesn't like stop them. Are you like the totally awesome villain Becky is looking for? (SFMA)
Estimated Time to Play: 45-60 minutes (It's 3 missions with last one being a defeat all on a fairly small map.)

This is a sort of sequel to an earlier arc I wrote (Arc # 60197 "Becky's Revenge") that a lot of people seemed to like. As always any feedback is appreciated. Enjoy!
  24. Arc Name: Fr34kw4r
    Arc ID: 21189
    Faction: Council, Crey, Freakshow
Creator Global/Forum Name: New Age Ronin
Difficulty Level: Slightly difficult (1st mission has 3 EB/AVs in it, last mission has 2 EB/AVs and I may have gone a little nutty with ambushes in some parts )
Synopsis: Upstart, the Freakshow's mad prophet of anarchy is out of the Zig and back on the streets; Dreck will stop at nothing to take down his rival and maintain control of the Freakshow; and Paragon City is caught in the middle. (I sort of wrote this arc as a sequal/reinterpretation of the 30-35 blueside arc "the Freakshow War.)
Estimated Time to Play: Very long (5 missions) lasting maybe 90-120 minutes total.
