Chokers and chains are nothing like necklaces and rings though. If there's no way to 'hang' them from the neck that would be the end of it. Unless we want a gigantic chest detail item a la Flava Flav.

Thank you for all the input and responses ^_^ I have made a list thus far. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding it.

Please keep this to character related ie: Costume parts and weapons-(aesthtics only).

Feasible (Depending):

  • NPC ports - Since they are NPC's most are made specifically for that and will not work in the Costume creator, for future we are keeping this in mind so we may be able to port over NPC parts that will work in the Creator. So some may work and some may not, it would be a case by case situation.
  • Cheongsam (Would not be full but split)
  • Thigh High boots for men (Will look into)

Not Feasible at this time due to technical limitations:
  • 4 legged toons.
  • Going back and re-working old assests (We need to keep moving forward)
  • Dynamic skirts
  • Glow options for patterns
  • Dinosaurs
  • Holsters, sheaths, etc (Unless they are empty or weapon contained will be rigid)
  • Adding Color palettes to creator
  • Having skin with 2 other color options, you get 2 colors max and skin will take one of them.
  • Asymmetrical patterns on tights
  • More than one cloth dynamic at a time

Noted for possible consideration, however not at this time:
  • More Animal parts ie: Reptile, Primates, Insectoid, Bear, Fox, etc...
  • Muscular females (Looking into)
  • Bomber Jacket
  • More high res Faces no Normal Mapping
  • Hairstyles (30's, 40's, etc)
  • Cloth belts, more folds (Dynamic cloth)
  • New Masks (Many themes and 3d)
  • Sashes
  • Jodhpurs
  • Hats
  • Jewelry
  • Skull masks ported to male for Jackets
  • Quiver
  • More Montrous options
  • More Hoods
  • Tattoos (But they would be mirrored)

So today for the first time ever I went through the full extent of the female costume options. I did this because my 7yo daughter wanted to design a costume. I wish I had never done it. I loved spending the time with my daughter, but other than that it was the most depressing thing I have ever done in this game.

The amount of costumes for females that males and huge do not have access to is just depressing. There seems to be a higher quality in some of them too. Small padded gloves is what springs to mind first. Why can't makes have a set of leaded gloves? They look just like UFC gloves that my MMA toon would love to have.

The Barbarian tiara would look fine on males, just call it a circlet.

I am not sure how it worked out, but whoever did some of the female costumes just had more imagination, or was flat out better. It really is time to get some parity between the three models.

Let me give another simple example that was pointed out at the time of release. The Ascension Boots for females have an extra armor bit at the top that looks really good. Why was this extension not included on males?

Yeah, I wish my 7yo had picked a different activity for us to do together today. Oh, and we didn't even look at the with skin options, because she is a conservative little girl. I bet I am really glad I didn't look there.

So to add to my request; I would like to see ALL of the gender neutral items ported to every model. That means from male to female, and female to male. I could go on, but I do not want to turn this thread into another gender equality thread. It does need to be noted that females have some very very nice parts that males would like to have access to, and I do mean parts that would not affect the rating of the game.

Well, granted... no rings because we have no fingers...

But looking at the Vampire ascot or neckties, a hanging necklace should be possible, as well as bracelets based on the arm band tech.

This one is a big one to me, but all I really care about is the new CoT and all the things after. Why? Because we were told that going forward new NPC costumes would be designed so the players could have them also. David even stated that the new CoT costumes were being built on the player rig. This is why we were so shocked when so many items were left out of the CoT pack.

So, if it is feasible then I would really like to get the missing CoT mage items. I have a feeling at this point that the reason we didn't get them is because the were only made for the male model. Which kinda stinks considering the CoL set was released at all. I guess you guys need to get to porting those items to Huge and Female so you can get more of my money for them. As I said, I am more than willing to pay for a CoT Mage pack.

The other is the Black Knight armor. It would really stink to limit that set to NPCs only.

Honestly, and I doubt I am alone in this, I think it is time to abandon the NPC rig for anything other than monstrous characters like the DA and ToV.

My wishes are mecha stave options on the order of a beam-naginata, perhaps or a twin-beams (ala Darth Maul-ish)

and please, please release that jackal head you have on the dark hounds as a beast head? It's gorgeous and I need an actual jackal head for my jackal characters!

To be blunt, this sucks. Both of these should have already been done. It sucks twice as bad for male and huge models because females already have a sash.

thank you Zyphoid. i really dont see how sashes for males and quivers for all are still "for consideration". that really makes ZERO sense. it's a little infuriating actually. not much annoys me but this reallly gets me going. i dont blame anyone in particular and really dont want to know who's decision this was because then i'd have to point my anger and frustration and that's a downward spiral. this needs to happen like... months ago.

and porting between body types [some male to female still and SO MANY FEMALE TO MALE], the things mentioned, should happen. especially with the barbarian and carnival packs. that is more than reasonable.

RAWR! gah.

If you mean Skull belts then that's great, glad it's on the list! It's more of a bug fix than anything since it was taken away for MALE only and not Female or Huge.

I strongly disagree with this. Old assets make the game look old. You want to attract more people to this game and that means nice and shiny. If this is a from high up decision, place the revamps of old and dated materials into a purchasable item. I for one would buy it up in a heartbeat (revised faces and hair, revised patterns/tights, revised Metallic top with skin).

You ARE moving the game forward when you update the old. It's like overlaying a new engine on an outdated one - similar to the Ultra mode we got a while back.

Just my two cents. Thanks for the feedback in general, even if I don't agree!

I'm completely ok with static weapons in the holster. I'm a big fan of the officer belt, but we need something a bit more Tacti-cool and a bit less official in my opinion. If we get dynamic holsters later that's gravy, but it'd be a shame hold off on holsters all together, because they can't be dynamic.

I have but two requests. They may or may not be feasible, but they are already in the game.

  • Suspenders as a belt option (like PDD Detectives get).
  • The Fake Nemesis belt. I got a good look at a defeated FN yesterday and holy crap do I want that belt.

What about some more anime/manga hero peaces. Stuff that's exaggerated just a bit. Like the "pigtales fat" hairstyle.

And I'd strongly recommended fixing the Upper Body>Chest Detail> Ring> Jewel and Belt Jewel.
Nether of them are shaped right and thay don;t even match each other.
The first is perfectly flat and the second is a cone. Not the proper jewel shape there pattern suggests.

And it would be nice to have a static, as in unmoving/non animared, eye glow aura. You see it with a lot of super heroes but only in game as part of the organic armor face and the armor part of the face is to prominent. Great for some concepts but win it's such a common heroic attribute some isn't good enough.
Batman, Superman, Green lantern, all have had glowing eyes at one time or another. All for different resins. Night vision, heat vision, exc.
Those eyes are a focus a personification of there power in a way. It needs to be something separate and distinctive from other aspects. A stand alone element that can be combined with any other lesser aspects. A aura.

This is good to hear. Given how well some of the current NPC port items have been used, I really think this is a trend that needs to continue. Plus, what comic/superhero story isn't complete with characters who either use the enemies gear against them, take trophies, or are defectors of the enemy group?

Also, given we can make Arachnos and Praetorians, but not Longbow, the other MAIN NPC group going, I stand by my suggestion earlier. That stuff should have been ported ages ago...

To be frank, the Dev team have been told, time and time and TIME again, how much players want Holsters and Sheaths. The general consensus has always been that not two hoots are given if the weapons do or do not vanish from them a la Maelstrom. This has been said to death, and it is really disappointing that people have apparently not been taking note.

And as for the not going back and re-working old stuff....

Let me put this as succinctly as possible. The Dev team as a whole seems unable to grasp the need, not want, NEED to revamp old content, whether it is zones, enemies or graphics.

Right now, the Character creator is a hodge-podge mess of stuff. You have the old, cruddy, pixelated and polygonal legacy content with bad texturing, bad design and general so-so-ness. Yes, people are fond of bits of it, hell, so am I! And alongside them you have the newer, shiny, HD parts that are better rendered, have less obvious polygons and square edges, better definition...

You compare those two side by side, and you get a huge and horrible disconnect. Not as big as the disconnect that (oh hell, I need caps for this);
REVAMPING IS NEW CONTENT, AND IS THUS IMPROVING AND MOVING OLD STUFF FORWARD

I don't get why the Devs have this gorramn phobia of updating old junk that is in dire need of it, but I've long since lost patience with it. So sue me...

Two crucial points that Alpha covered:

-No one cares if sheaths and holsters static. In fact, I am fine with the weapons always being present. The point is so that my Dual Pistols character can stand around with pistols on his hips in non-combat.

-Revamping old content IS new content. Plain and simple. You proved this with the Circle of Thorns, Galaxy City, Dark Astoria (and its enemies).

Sorry Zyph, that's what passes for "gender equality" in this game with regard to costumes. Those who wanted female toons to get everything the male and huge models had IN ADDITION TO their own special parts cried, shouted, pleaded, and demanded under the guise of "gender equality" until the developers finally gave in. How having more options than others is equality, I don't know. But I doubt it's going to change any time soon, so you might as well resign yourself to having fewer options because you decide not to make a given character female.
