We did want to set it up so that the German Shepherd pet could interact with it, but stuff happened.
Awh, that suggest that a glomp emote might have bin possible. sob.
  2. Was anything ever planed for the so called matrix room. Or was it ever used for anything?
  3. What were the various Incarnet powers going to be?
    What was the coming storm?
Has this whole thing bin a nemesis plot?
Who put the bop in the bopshebopshebop?
Was it the same person who put the ram in the ramalamadingdong?
Was there any plans for the other oroboros islands?
Was there any plans for a space or space based zone?
Was there any plans for base upgrades?
Was there any plans for individual bases?
What feature or features did you most want to include but couldn't do to lack of ability or time?
  4. While I can't think of any Comicbook staples missing I can think of some powerset types that are missing. Namely multi element melee and pets.
Like trick arrow or dual pistols.
  5. You know you need to wash you're pants if they look worse than the post apocalyptic guys.

Seriously next year you should ask them to make you a nice Black pebble (off doom) temporary power. Effect automatically kills any enemy 5 levels below you. No saving throws.

So, from now until 5 PM pacific today, I’ll be here on this thread answering any questions you have about any of the upcoming changes! I probably won’t be able to get to every single question, and I won’t be talking about any additional unannounced features for Issue 24, but feel free to ask me anything about Archetypes, existing powersets, or game balance. Thanks, and looking forward to this discussion!

Mind if I ask what those upcoming changes are? I haven't seen a written word about anything like that.

I also put it in the trial's UI, since absorb is new, but in the future that's one thing to keep your eye on, especially once players start getting absorb in their own hands...
Is this a healthy spoiler or has it bin mentioned somewhere else.
  9. What about some more anime/manga hero peaces. Stuff that's exaggerated just a bit. Like the "pigtales fat" hairstyle.

And I'd strongly recommended fixing the Upper Body>Chest Detail> Ring> Jewel and Belt Jewel.
Nether of them are shaped right and thay don;t even match each other.
The first is perfectly flat and the second is a cone. Not the proper jewel shape there pattern suggests.

And it would be nice to have a static, as in unmoving/non animared, eye glow aura. You see it with a lot of super heroes but only in game as part of the organic armor face and the armor part of the face is to prominent. Great for some concepts but win it's such a common heroic attribute some isn't good enough.
Batman, Superman, Green lantern, all have had glowing eyes at one time or another. All for different resins. Night vision, heat vision, exc.
Those eyes are a focus a personification of there power in a way. It needs to be something separate and distinctive from other aspects. A stand alone element that can be combined with any other lesser aspects. A aura.
  10. I know this might sound silly but for Halloween we collect Statesman and Lord recluse Halloween masks (The sheep plastic kind held on with a elastic band) and Back street brawler gloves. I'd love to actually be able to where them as a costume peace. And some Pratoren equivalents would be good to.
  11. If you'r going to make a survey like that please include information as to what all the options mean. I had to count against some things simply because I didn't understand what they are.

  13. I look at that hand gun and can't help but think. "It's nerf or nothing."
  14. A Oroboros revamp would be nice. There's a lot that could be done there (Protect the time stream: Time travailing paper missions.) and some things that really need fixing. A proper place for the god to hang out, A proper portal in and out (glowie sparkles out there in a random spot just don't cut it), and of cores combining hero and villain instances.
  15. Can we get a version with out the rivets?

And maybe a version more "Normal' shoulders. I'd be great as a general super heroish suit. And maybe an open coat version of the top.
And a pattern that highlights those horizontal side stripes. Both as a hole and alternating.
I'd also suggest a mini single pod version of the pack attached to the back of the ankle/leg.

The top question is the one I think would be the most important.
  16. If you want a cheerful upbeat boot try "How to serve man". I don't want to spoil it for you but it has a tasty ending.
  17. Now if only we had special FX to go along with it. I want ring death beams.
  18. What about environmental challenges something like an enemy surrounded by high damage arias or deep pits with walkways and ledges around it and a knock back power. And a travel power blocker. The bigger the team the harder it would be to properly coordinate the team. Leaving those that are stupid falling down and having to run back up. For smaller teams some of the pits could be covered.

You could also use saws, pounding pistons, and death lasers on tracks in the ceiling crossing the room. For big teams everything's active and it's a nightmare mission. And for smaller teams most of the traps could be off.

You could also set some kind of general all against all pvp aria. Making large teams especially dangerous. And have a doppelganger as the opponent that will randomly transform into a team member and tp next to the person it's mimicking.

As a matter of fact I'd like to see a doppelganger as a relatively common mission. The story being that some of the cloning teck wasn't lost. You could also have warped, deformed, simplified or imperfect clones of you're well known hero's and villains. Giving hero's a chance to fight hero's and villeins a chance to fight villains.
Also include one's with random costume peaces and colors. Shouldn't be that hard to attach numbers to the costume peaces and use a random number generator to make there individual appearance.
Having a divers clone faction not real alined with or against anyone but fighting against all for various resins from rights to simple instinct/genetic memory of there old self.
You could even have conglomerate's of various hero's and villeins.
Lordman and State's recluse. Posi-hammy. Rd. Mayham or Mother Aeon
  19. [QUOTE=Dr. Aeon;4156343]
Our mission system doesn’t play very nicely with having two identical "choice" missions. As well, it creates double the work on mission design if there’s a text bug (we never have those though) or other bugs in one mission, since then it needs to be fixed in both, and then our QA guys have to test that it works in both missions.
    /QUOTE]

Couldn't you set it up as a flag or what ever it's called like how you can adjust the difficulty of a task force.
  20. Can we get an open jacket version of that male top. I think it would be real useful for a sort of superhero-ish jacket. All the ones we have now are a bit to common.

Of course, you'd be guaranteed to get complaints from some people when their free bonus reward isn't what they wanted, but people are always going to complain about something.
Why not make it an option. You can have ether the same old or go for a grab bag option. It shouldn't be that hard to implement. They already have random item codes and choose your reward codes.

I begrudgingly took this red-name after a failed joke I made during one of the weekly USTREAM “Coffee Talk” sessions. Players on the chat box were joking with my partner in crime, Tunnel Rat, about what my red name might be. When some ridiculous animal names started cropping up, I threw out the honey badger as a joke, knowing how the memory of that internet clip would make her crack up on camera. Little did I know that it would stick and that YOU PEOPLE WOULD NEVER LET IT DIE THEREAFTER. AAAARRRGHH!!!

    …ok, it’s kinda funny. Whatever.

Anyhow, I am posting to announce that I am gonna be helping out the Tunnel Rat with answering queries on this thread. It has been quite an experience reading your suggestions, and an even bigger thrill to be able to fulfill some of
‘em! I wish to continue this tradition, and welcome any suggestions for new Auras, Emotes, Costume Change Emotes… hell, anything we can feasibly do with VFX is game here. Specifically the Aura part. I don’t care how dumb it sounds, it might spark an idea for something we could possibly do. I mean it! I need MOAR! GIMMEH MOAR! MOOOOOOAAAAARRR!

    …ahem…

That’s it, I gotta get back to work.

    Party on dudes!

If you don't like that name we can always give you the nickname "FRESH FISH".

In all Seriousness. I've herd that one of the resins that you don't like solid (Not additive) FX is that a whole lot would muddy up the screen. Well the thing is that in a trial that kinda happens anyway. With all that's going on even the really important avoid or you die stuff gets hidden.
Might I suggest separating out the FX controls for the player, other PCs, NPCs, and warning FXs.
This would allow you to add as much solid powers for the player and have it off on others. And would also give the feeling for the player to have a dominant feel to there powers. Something like I'm the star and I'm so much better than you. Even if it's not true that's kind of the feeling most anyone gets when imagining there a super hero.

Game development is a a very iterative process, and whatever the project, we've always tried to think through all the possibilities and then pick the one that'll delight you guys the most. Concept art is all about throwing lots of choices at the wall and seeing which ones are the stickiest. For every good idea that makes it to final, there are always 5-10 more that don't. (Even on this Retro Scifi set, there were several more ideas that we proactively cut for various reasons).

I've always tried my best to involve you guys in the decision-making because, frankly, you know the game at a much deeper level than I do--you're the ones playing it every day, and you know the ins-and-outs. That's why I've always consulted your opinion over the forums and why I'm now doubly excited for the possibilites offered by the player-driven costume set initiative.

I can't think of any other games that have ever done anything like this, and that's really cool. It's historic and unprecidented yet totally in keeping with what we've always tried to do, which is to give you guys a voice in what goes into the game and to give you more and more ways to customize your gaming experience.

Anyway, thanks for playing, and I think you'll be pretty excited to see what's coming next.

    NS
Ya know, I've had this idea on the back burner for a while, that is to say it was there but has resonantly crawled of and is now gnawing on my leg, have you ever considered, rather than focusing solely on making new "sets", going back threw you're old ideas and costume sets and making "grab bag's" of new peaces to add to the old sets things that were left out or want to add or new ideas that you are players have thrown out? This way you could add things that you would otherwise never have a place for this would mesh nicely with the release of updated versions of some of the old peaces you have planed.
  24. YA know I always likes the roman armor but not the face on it. It's a shame that they can't remove or change it. Like maybe a lion head.

It's hard to imagine it as a jetpack of the conventional sort, because the presumed heat of the jet would cook her bare backside. I suppose it could be a thrust device of some sort where the thrust is supplied via the "exhaust tubes". She'd have an interesting time controlling it by positioning her arms, and heaven help her if it accidentally ignited...

The facial junk would even make some sense if it was a flight device and those weird facial attachments turned out to be some kind of retractable flight goggles..
Those pipes, pack, and head gear suggest to me a link system to a giant robot or something similar. That would sort of fit with her link with the clockwork king.
