Informal Market Project/Survey
B
Really? There's a character limit?
Freakin' forum software.
B in inf only.
I'm currently a low B if we are considering cash on hand only.
My wife's account is a low C under the same criterion.

Even if I were to magically convert my one storage bin of stuff* into INF, they'd still both be C's.
*(No purples, just those sort-of-high-end quality of life IO's you find yourself reaching for again and again: several Numina's and Miracle procs, some LotG Recharges, an Oblit set, etc. If one drops and I suspect a new toon will need it Soon™, I'll just craft it and save it, rather than "craft and sell now, hunt down recipe later.")

Thanks to all who have responded so far - I'll tally counts and provide an update
when I get a chance to update my spreadsheet (on my work computer).
Keep that data coming in, it's much appreciated.
I do want to take a moment to address Dark Gob's "liquidity" question a little bit.
From Wikipedia:
Overview A liquid asset has some or all of the following features. It can be sold rapidly, with minimal loss of value, any time within market hours. The essential characteristic of a liquid market is that there are ready and willing buyers and sellers at all times. Another elegant definition of liquidity is the probability that the next trade is executed at a price equal to the last one. |
at 1), it's equally certain that "value received" for them would also be all over
the map. Conversely, the attempt to get consistent market value for those items
would result in a considerable time penalty waiting for them to actually sell.
So, that is why I'm constraining things to influence on hand, or bids that could
be instantly cancelled for exact and consistent inf value received.
Unlike Intrinsic, I do not believe the term of "liquid" is being misused at all here.
That said, I certainly concede that there is a significant amount of inf tied up
in items stored and items slotted, but gauging actual value for them would be
highly problematic.
So, I hope that clears up the reason for the constraints.
Once again, thanks for your replies to date, and please keep them coming.
Thanks!

I've been rich, and I've been poor. Rich is definitely better.

Barely a C here. I've got 5 billion floating in my email, with multiple characters with 500 million to 1.5 billion.
Shortspark: 50 Fire/Fire tanker
Jessie Inferno: 50 Fire/SD scrapper
a wizard: 50 Rad/Sonic defender
The Nemesis Plothole: 50 StJ/Reg scrapper
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
I'm a E, split mostly between two characters on different servers.
Champion 50s (blueside): Marc Bridge, Nicole Bridge, Fred Blaze, Colleen Storms, Sun's Chariot, Moon's Huntress, Point of Pride
Guardian 50s (redside): Connie Mand
AE arc: Spirit Plane Invasion, #29282, @Honbrid
I fall into the C category.

I posted in the other thread but ~80 bill liquid would put me at a B.
Man, I feel so poor.
F.
I'm most likely in the F category, but only just.
Main account a solid C, second account D or C depending on a lot of stuff. Then again, I prefer stockpiling enhancements over influence.

I'd have to say my Account would be in the Low F Range. My GF's Account would either be in the High G to Low F Range as well. Neither of us really Market, but it's not uncommon to have a number of our Characters having several million INF on them, as well as, a couple of Characters have been gifted large amounts of INF in the past as well.
Thank you for the time...
i float between a G and an F depending on weather i have done any power leveling recently so that i need to spend a few million on slotting my toon or getting IOs to make some sets for a specific power
The path of Villainy is an arduous one, but one that must be tread because without it there would be no heroes, and what would the world be like without either. So for all those heroes out there I chose Villainy.
I don't store inf as items, prices fluctuate too much for my tastes (and I can see some big fluctuations coming up in the near future), so all my inf is stored as either inf or bids and is therefore liquid
I have one account, which is in Category B, I think I'm somewhere around the 54-56ish Billion mark, but I don't bother adding it all up precisely.
What's worrying is that I don't even see myself as a 'hardcore marketeer', whatever one of those is. Most of my inf has come from selling drops and from selling generic IO's on the market, combined with being too stupid to know when to stop...
Warning:
The above post may contain Cynicism, sarcasm and/or pessimism. If you object to the quantities contained, then tough.
I am a D, though on occasion I've been a C. I tend to spend as fast as I earn, typically keeping 1-2 billion available for whatever I may need, and typically 100-300 million on any given character.
@Roderick
I'm almost certain I'm a mid-range D.
I don't market with the intent of netting lots of inf, merely to get rid of stuff that dropped which I don't need and others may have use for. And I have no bids because I only buy when I plan on crafting it right then. SO's and generic IO's suit me just fine, though I am slowly finishing up my first real IO set build for my KM/WP Brute through hero merits and my vast storage of 500+ rare salvage I have stashed away across all my characters.
When a new character hits 50 these days, I just start iTrialing and shard hunting, and craft generics off whatever drops that they can use.
To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine the light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be....
I'm sorry what was that, I couldn't hear you over my TRAGIC PAST!!
I'm an F.
I decided when I came back to the game last year that you can't take it with you, and that I should spend influence as I make it.
All new characters get Miracle +Rec's, and all the LoTG's and bonuses they can eat in the late 20s and 30s. I had two idea recently that required a low level stealth IO (a shrinker/grower with a Stealth Io for shrinking, and a telepath with a "psychic projection" costume slot) All this keeps me from amassing huge amounts of inf.
This thread is awesome.
Anyways, I'm in the middle of class C. And now I want to upgrade myself to the next tier. Want!

Main account would be bottom end of "D".
2nd account would be top end of "F".
I'd be in category F
