Informal Market Project/Survey

I would fit in category D. And I don't see much point in building up more than that when I can spend it on purples and such instead.

I've been wanting to get a tally of all my characters for a while, but as usual, I've been procrastinating. Thanks for giving me the nudge. I was hoping that I'd have more, but I see that I'm in the middle of C. I'm a frugal person and my builds aren't anything special, so my bank was built up fairly slowly over time. It was interesting to see the distribution of funds. Of course, my older characters who haven't been played as much nowadays had the most because they could wait out the Market.

I am surprised by some of the replies here so far. For a few of you, I was under the impression that you had way more than you revealed.

Mostly I'm a C, but anytime my levelling project is a melee toon, I'll drop into D category.

G, but F if counting my waiting-to-sell items. I just got done spending all my dough on a new build for my ill/ta troller. *sigh*

You would also want to include any recipes sitting around on alts which have yet to be crafted. And some people have hundreds of pieces of rare salvage in their bases, and they'd want to include those. Since no two people would make the same judgments, the resulting total probably would be an even less scientific sample.

This could be done, but would require the assignment of standard prices to all items, and then everyone could use the same values.

I think the OP's original request is a reasonable starting point.

I probably fall into the D category, since I probably have three dozen level 50s and they all tend to have 50 million or more, though several have more than 150 million.
When you read the OP, and in particular the thread to which he linked, you'll understand that he's trying to estimate the total amount of inf currently floating around in the game. For that reason you don't want to count recipes or enhancements, even if they can be quickly sold, just the amount of inf you have on hand. It is a misuse of the term 'liquid,' and it might cause some confusion.

D. Would easily be in the 100+ bil if it included slotted IOs though. My general rule of thumb is if I have enough inf to improve a character or IO a new one then I use that inf.

2 accounts both A's

Im rich because you trust the previous 5 bids!!
My market signature is the highest bid!!!!

1 account: Currently F. Was once a D. Have never been higher than that.

Be well, people of CoH.

I don't usually have much liquid influence out, but right now I have more than usual. Usually C or D, now probably closer to B after stripping a character.

Counting all of my slotted stuff, easily A. Multiple purpled out, +3 HOed, PvP IOed characters will do that for you. Don't farm much, just continually buy moderate recipes that generate profits of over 10 million (so that I have about 200 million incoming influence per character at most times), and try to just keep a steady income. Thought about PvP farming to push into the A range, but despite the potential influence it seems like exploitive behavior to me, and not really worth it considering how great the market is.

Add both my accounts together and I would be an E. I've never found the need to have more than 1 billion to kit out a 50.

Well, I just finished adding it up. I surprised myself - I'm solidly a (D).

Interesting survey. Looking forward to the results.

Not going to go through and add up all the inf I have across all my characters as I don't have that kind of time.

I don't try to go for mass inf on any character, save one, and that puts me at 2 billion right there. Of course other characters have had nice drops along the way and have a couple hundred million on them, but the majority have less than 50 mil. Usually more like 10 mil, tops.

No way the rest of my characters have more than 8 billion so I can say with some certainty that I am a solid (D).

I'm pretty sure I'm E on both accounts, though one might be a low D. I tend to spend inf as fast as I get it so I doubt I've ever been higher than D.

D here.

I'm a modest "C".

D for me, might be higher if I hadn't purpled out my Warshade.

I'm a "D". Between lots of alts and the occasional player auction, I don't generally go much above that, and will occasionally dip a bit lower.
