I have one account, probably an F. The character I play the most nowadays makes almost no influence except through drops that I build and sell. His XP is turned off at 27 and he fights in SG mode.

Saw this thread a week ago and tonight decided to log in on every character and add up an exact amount out of curiousity. My account is a solid D with 3,547,969,639 INF. It'd be a ton more if I weren't obsessed with min/maxing all my 50ies. Hopefully you get a lot more responses, very interesting to see the replies!

Interesting graph. It really shows the split at E. two things, I wonder how representative this is in game? and it throws a confirm to what I have suspected for very long. It's all a Nemesis plot. No wait, I mean we have a two tier group in the cities. Some folks got squat and some folks got lots. The trough at E really makes me wonder if this is something the Devs would find useful for planning.

I should probably add the caveat that if it wasn't for a friend leaving me a
billion plus a few weeks back, I'd still be firmly in the F category.

All these years playing and since I hardly ever play at 50... I only broke the Billion mark thanks to that donation.

I suspect the split is due primarily to "people who play the market" vs "people who don't"... But that is just based on my experience. It's also possibly a "people who play at 50" vs "people who don't", but I find it hard to believe that playing at 50 makes such a large difference very quickly, unless one also plays the market with drops...

There is a basic level of knowledge after which you make inf FAST.It may be a three-tier system.

Tier 1 would be something like "I sell everything to the vendor, because I went to Wents and got scared and overwhelmed by the prices and I ran out of inf immediately."

Tier 2 (possibly?) is "I sell things at Wents, I know that purple recipes make me rich, but I generally make my inf by playing the game normally and/or farming."

Tier 3 is "I have learned techniques, specifically, to make money." That could be hardcore farming for inf, or marketeering, or running ITFs for purples or WWD's for hero merits or... whatever. Now there are inefficient methods to make money and people do those, but that's probably a matter of E vs D or above. (People have made a billion crafting generic IO's. It just takes time. )

Playing at 50 DOES make a large difference quickly, even in tier 2. The old number used to be one ITF, 10 million inf. And every ITF it seems like SOMEONE gets a purple. So if you do the equivalent of eight ITFs you've made 80 million plus a purple, so probably close to 300 million.(The Tier 3 player has also taken the regular merits, converted to hero or villain merits, and made another 300 or 400 million.)

(I am not sure what "play the market with drops" means; I use "play the market" to mean "buy things for the sole purpose of profit", whether by flipping or crafting. )

Haven't been in on a couple of months, but my best estimate is I'm a C and my wife is a D.

E. solidly.

Inf does NOT stay liquid in my hands for long. I usually instantly build a new "super" build when I get in the billion range.

On a related note If you were to count stuff folks slotted, that total inf count with just forum accounts I'd bet would be A LOT higher.

but I get why you are counting it the way you are.

I always try to commit sometime during the week to farm/market. I don't see the point though of having billions of inf. if you don't spend some of it. So I don't see myself ever holding more than... I dunno, 3 or 4 billion. I do like having somewhat a reserve of inf. though.
