Do you happen to remember how long it was before the shields went up? Or even better, do you log chat? as the shields down/up messages can be found there.
-
I wondered why I was working so hard trying to keep people alive.
-
Yep, fixed in the July 31st patch along with the Auctioneer dayjob badge in Imperial City.
-
So I'm guessing the two badges you mentioned today are the Drowning in Blood ones?
I also need The Really Hard Way, the Preservation Specialist and Master of Underground badges. -
Here's the post
Quote:Cross-post:
Ironically, Champions Online celebrated its 3rd year anniversary today and we had a quick company-wide meeting that where last Friday's bombshell about City of Heroes/Paragon came up.
During Q&A time with Jack, I pont-blank asked him if there was any truth to the rumors about expired licensing agreement with Cryptic's COH engine. He was taken aback about this, unaware of such rumors going around. His response was that NCSoft has the license to use the CoH engine "in perpituity" for both "City of Heroes/City of Villains" as well as a 2nd game.
I asked him if there was going to be any official response to this rumor concerning Cryptic/PWE and it's not something we plan on doing. We obviously can't be aware of or comment on every rumor floating around on the internet he wasn't sure of what they could say about this particular scenario if they wanted to.
So whatever reasons NCSoft had for shuttering Paragon, it had absolutely nothing to do with the IP, which they own, or the engine, which they had a license to use indefinitely.
That's about all I can do to quell this rumor. Take it as you will.
Again, thoughts go out to all my friends, former co-workers, and recent friendly rivals who've been released into the wild. I hope to see many of them here in the halls of Cryptic very soon. :P -
I may have slipped it in just in time.

Yesterday I added a 60 day card to each of my accounts, though I don't know if they've changed it since.

I'm personally a fan of Tess Fowler (deviantart link) (facebook link), but I'm biased because I know her. She takes commissions constantly. Usually black and white inked pieces, though.
Hmmm... I'm not sure if her photo page on facebook is public or not. -
IMO, the very best game market is in Eve. It's been a couple years since I've played so maybe it's changed. It's not double blind, and it's very vicious, with people constantly undercutting you by pennies. It keeps a history of the prices paid for items for a long time so you can track trends. Also, items are not delivered directly to you, they stay at the planet where they were purchased, so you have to either go get them, resell them in place, or pay someone to transport them for you. And since a big chunk of it is PvP, there's always the chance that you can lose the item in transit. While my friends where out shooting up other player's ships, I was having tons of fun just playing the market.

I used a 60 day time card yesterday to extend my VIP status and it still worked.
-
If you can get a hold of a time or game card, you can use those as well. I had a couple cards I hadn't used yet and used them to extend my VIP status.
-
Set the lowest level of membership so that it's only ability is to pay base rent and then ask for help from a VIP. What server are you on? I'm sure we can find someone to help you out.

I believe they will still get 10 merits when they are on a team when a bomb is set due to a long standing bug. **double checks logs** Yeah, a few weeks back during a raid, one guy said he wasn't getting any merits but had 10 after the bomb was planted. Unfortunately, nobody remembered the tier 4 bit at the time.

The game downloads in stages. This allows you to start playing as soon as Stage one is downloaded, while it continues and downloads Stages 2-4 in the background. Stage 4 is huge though, and you may need to force it to actively download instead of background download. To do so, start the launcher, click City of Heroes on the left, then click button in the lower left.

This is most certainly incorrect. On Protector, we had a few runs were we set off every single bomb. It was either 31 or 34 minutes, I can't remember which. But the same time as a regular run where we set of 4-6 bombs. Before this, I had been on a 10 man raid where we set off 3 bombs and it was 28 minutes, and another time I swapped through my alts to set off more bombs, 5 alts plus 5 the regular raid had set for a total 10 bombs and it was a regular 31 minute run. Bombs may play a part, but they certainly don't add 5-10 minutes each. Unless other servers are getting a different Mothership raid than we do on Protector.

Quote:It won't work. When someone one a team plants a bomb, every character on the team gets tagged for it. I've crashed before, come back and been on a different team and couldn't plant a bomb until the timer was up, as I always try to slip a bomb in at the last minute. You will be planting bombs solo just that your team will be different each time. Admitedly I don't know if this will work since I don't know if it just marks everyone in same team or is there a seperate team number kept in code and it only checks that. If it is marking you than as someone else suggested your best bet is making 3 other stalkers and try to stealth into bomb sites.

Quote:You're probably right about that when you put it like that. I'm willing go with 30 minutes.I could swear the pylon respawn time is 30 minutes, or somewhere close to that, rather than 20, but I can't remember exactly and I haven't noted it down anywhere, so... I don't know. 20 seems impossible because you'd have to kill each pylon *and* travel to the next in about a minute.
-
I timed this once, but didn't write it down. It wasn't more than 30 minutes, but I recall it was actually less. I think it was like 20 or 21 minutes, because I found it interesting that it was less than the time the shields are up on our usual raids on Protector.
Quote:-Once all Pylons are down how long will the shields stay up?
-I'm aware that each bomb set extends the timer. But by how much?
The timer seems to have 3 minute increments, because on some early, failed runs, the time would run out at 28 minutes, 24 minutes and 21 minutes, with one really bad run that ended at 15 minutes. -
You received absolutely zero rewards? Or just didn't get the bonus merits? Might you have already done Silver Mantis SF this week?

Quote:Yes, as Roderick said. And if you don't pay long enough, doesn't the base itself become inaccessible?
