You certainly can, but you'll need a lot of prestige. The Tiny Hidden Base or whatever won't be a limit, it'll be how much base stuff you can buy.
If you have a lot of Inf, you can convert some to prestige to give yourself a boost. I converted 200 million inf to 20,000 prestige and that give me a workshop (room) where I could add some additional storage, but I don't recall the particulars. I'm sure someone will be along to fill in where my blanks are though. Good luck.
Base raids don't exist anymore, so go nuts, add whatever you please without worry.

According to this, 200 million Inf should get you 200,000 prestige. Sorry about the mis-info above.

A 2x2 Workshop costs 100,000 prestige and gives you room for 9 storage items, so that kinda squares with my recollection of making a personal base with 200 million info and getting some decent storage.

As to the Premium base, Disappearing Girl is right. When my account goes Premium, I retain my SG, access to my base, and my Super Leader status. The only thing I lose is the ability to pay rent.
The base is fully functional for 2 weeks after rent is due, at which point power and control are cut off. Storage items need neither power nor control, so they remain useable until the base is locked 2 weeks after power is cut. That means that you only need to invite a VIP to pay your rent once every 8 weeks.
If you're unable to find a VIP you trust completely, edit the bottom rank so it has NO permissions other than paying Rent. That way, they won't be able to do anything harmful to your base.

I've temporarily joined a few Preem's SGs to help pay their Rent. You can ask on your Server's Global channels and someone will volunteer. Just do as Roderick suggested and edit your SG permissions ahead of time.

to it, and not have that subject to raids by others. There's a ton of information, much of which is marked out-of-date. I simply can't tell what's what. Any advice?
