Mothership Solo?

So I've been on a soloing kick recently and have been tackling more and more absurd challenges as my cockiness expands. My latest exploit - soloing Lusca, was something I had once thought impossible. Now I'm turning an eye toward something even more absurd...

I'd like to spawn and take out U'Kon Gr'ai. By myself. Before attempting it however I thought I'd do some recon considering the time investment in requires. I've done several Mothership Raids in the past but am having a hard time remembering/finding the exact info I require:

-How long does it take for a Pylon to regenerate?
-Once all Pylons are down how long will the shields stay up?
-How many bombs does it take to spawn U'Kon?
-Is it possible to set enough bombs as a single character within the allotted time in order to spawn him?
-I'm aware that each bomb set extends the timer. But by how much?
-I can't find any stat information on U'Kon himself. I've taken out every other GM but am worried he might have immense S/L resist (I'm a StJ stalker) or some other tricks I'm unaware of.

I'll make a note that I don't utilize any inspirations or temp powers. Doing so seems cheap in this day and age due to dual inspirations/emailing inspirations/signature summons/HVAS/shivans/nukes etc. There are so many "one time" god-mode temps these days that it seems unfair to attempt something like this while using them. I do intend to use all incarnate powers, however.

I believe you need 3-4 bombs planted to spawn the GM. Since you can only plant one per team per 30 minutes...you'll be sort of out of luck there.

Make 3 other accounts, make stalkers and use them to click bombs. Won't even have to level them.

That's one heck of a challenge you've set for yourself.

My first thought when I read this was that it was a pure joke thread, but I'll give
you the benefit of the doubt and consider the idea seriously.

Ok - having done that ...

Not to be the voice of doom here but if wagers were involved I'd have to
bet against you - Big Time.

Unfortunately, the P-Wiki article is short on actual numbers, so I'll just speculate
a bit from a logistics standpoint.

For the Pylons, you probably can't do them sequentially. Even in the Scrapper
Pylon thread, it takes ~2 minutes to take one down. With 18 of them to handle, I'd
bet you don't have 36+ minutes before one of them respawns.

So, you'll have to whittle all of them down to a sliver first, and then recycle
around and take em out .... Except ...

You probably can't. They have fairly decent regen (the 128 term in the DPS formula).
So, whittling them down to a sliver like you can with turrets in Bloody Bay is likely
not going to work.

So, *solo*, I think you're in trouble right there.

For the bombs, raids typically plant 4, but again, the wiki doesn't say what the
minimum is to spawn the GM. Certainly, you'll need at least one (or more) to trigger
U'Kon G'rai.

Of course, that means you'll be confronting the boatload of Magus' that spawn when
you attack the grates. I don't read a lot of threads that talk about players soloing
them. Rikiti Bosses? Sure. Rikti Magus'? Not so much. Pylons are easier, imho

For the GM, you're also going to be dealing with a lot more mobs than just him,
and again, solo, I'm having difficulty seeing how you'd do that (even if you're
using iPets, Shivans, a Heavy and anything else you can bring to the party)

Now, if you're just taking a shot at the GM, solo, then you can have some friends
help with the pylons and grates, but I still think a Last Will and Testament may be
in order....

Don't know for sure abut the minimum number of bombs, but I can tell ya when I've run it on a foursome, U'kon doesn't seem to spawn until well after we have planted 4 bombs.

I admit that might be because we try to get through the bomb phase fast, or may be random, or any number of other factors..

On pylon thread in scrapper forums there was one person who manage to beat all pylons solo and brought down shields. I think his character was a SoA spider and he used lots of temp powers but it can be done.

For bomb part I think you got me wrong I meant forming a league with someone and letting them change your team I didn't mean they are helping you plant bombs directly. You will be planting bombs solo just that your team will be different each time. Admitedly I don't know if this will work since I don't know if it just marks everyone in same team or is there a seperate team number kept in code and it only checks that. If it is marking you than as someone else suggested your best bet is making 3 other stalkers and try to stealth into bomb sites.

Two bombs are enough to spawn the GM.

Solo mothership raids have been done. You need about 500 real pylon DPS to do so, which is attainable by some builds without insps or temps.

I could swear the pylon respawn time is 30 minutes, or somewhere close to that, rather than 20, but I can't remember exactly and I haven't noted it down anywhere, so... I don't know. 20 seems impossible because you'd have to kill each pylon *and* travel to the next in about a minute.

Well it appears I've been humbled.

Averaging 2 minutes/pylon I killed 14/18 before they began to reappear one by one. The odd the thing was that which one reappeared seemed to be random, at least at first glance. It appears that each individual pylon isn't on its own timer, rather the whole of them are on a universal 30 minute clock, with each separate pylon respawning according to hidden order.

I used no temps or inspirations. I probably should have.

If the limit is 30 minutes you'd have to average about 1.6 minutes per Pylon in order to get through them all in time (this is counting travel time). This is well enough beyond my means at the present moment.

That leaves another question that I'm curious about - are the Mothership's shields dependent on ALL Pylons being active, or just one? If it's one then there's really no hope period. By these standards even if I managed a minute per pylon I'd only have 12 minutes to set the requisite bombs, pull U'Kon and murder him.

Of course if each bomb gives me, say, 10 minutes there might be hope if I manage to set one just under the wire, but if U'Kon only spawns with 2+ I'd still have to login under multiple separate toons just to get him to appear. At that point I'd still need to pull him and hope he doesn't bring a squad of Magi as well.

I think it probably COULD be done if I brought every dual inspiration/amplifier/shivan/nuke/signature summon etc. to bear but that just doesn't seem worth it. What glory can there be when you are able to literally BUY a safe's worth of buffs? I have a hard time using REGULAR inspirations during normal play. It always feels like cheating to me. Maybe with another level shift or two I'll give this a try.

All in all I'm ultimately glad I couldn't accomplish this feat. The fact that power has creeped enough to let me entertain the idea that I could solo an event designed for 24+ players is probably a bad thing.

So good. Good that it bested me. I still probably got further than I should have...

You do get extra time for every bomb that is planted. I want to say its somewhere in between 5-10 minutes, probably closer to 10. This sounds awesome if it is pulled off.
