They are kicking us all out.

I'd like to be able to play some of the VIP exclusive content before it's all gone. But they won't take my money. and it looks like they won't let us enjoy it anyway.

Yeah, I had just cancelled my sub a few days ago (and it officially went non-VIP.... yesterday), so I'm sort of in the same boat.

For those curious, I had a CoV Collector's Edition box, Going Rogue box, and Architect Edition box that I hadn't used the codes for yet. I was in the process of doing that when I saw this post and gave the AE code to V-Tron... should work, he said it updated on his web account but hadn't updated to the game yet but maybe he hadn't logged all the way out. Anyway, the other two codes turned two of my freebie accounts to VIP, so for whatever that's worth for me, it works at least.

Ya, just looked up my billing status:

3 Month Subscription

Next Bill Date: Sept 22.

I really hope the rumor that VIPs will keep thier status until the end is true.

CoH has been unique in the sea of cloned MMOs.There are years of possibilities still
in such a well designed, well supported and well loved game.Shutting it down now doesn't
make sense on any level except, perhaps, on some spreadsheet�s bottom line. I do not
consider this an act of a company that has the interests of its customers at heart.This
calls into question why I would want to be part of any further ventures involving NCSoft.

I have one 2months card that had been saving, and I wanted to use to at least go out in style -- and obviously, it's not accepting it.

FWIW, I've been trying to get a straight answer about VIP status from NCSoft support as my billing cycle is supposed to come up for renewal on Tuesday. While I haven't received one yet, I did notice a few minutes ago that my CoH account management screen no longer has a "VIP until" entry. Also, buying points has been disabled. My billing management screen still has me listed for my upcoming scheduled payment, but that may not be indicative of anything at this point.

Will they be taking game cards?

This totally sucks *** btw. I'm on vacation and let my account lapse for the three months I'm traveling. Was supposed to be back mid september, logged in today to try and reup my subscription and find out it's all going away.

Well this really sucks. My subscription ran out while I was away...came back and find...this. the least they could do is just let those of NOW premium players play as VIP till the end.

In the same boat.

I've held a subscription to this game for years, even though I only played once or twice a year, simply because I wanted to keep the game in business.

A couple of months ago my credit card lapsed, and I neglected to update my account with the new card. Then I heard the news about the shutdown, and naturally want to get in some gametime before it will no longer be possible.
I find that I can't even access all of my characters.

I even have 4800 points unspent. Couldn't I at least use THOSE to upgrade to VIP, since NCSoft doesn't want my money?

Well, that is really good to hear. I might just find myself an Architech Edition on Amazon or something. I really want to play as VIP until the servers shut down.

If only they had given us like 48 hours notice before they killed everything. Ugh.
