I still would like a more specific answer.
You just said I don't like people who speak FUD and Doom. That's it? Sometimes those people are right. If all you want is a bunch of people to say - I agree and I too don't like it. Congratulations.
But perhaps you would say exactly WHAT FUD and Doom you don't like?

It is against the rules to 'call out' people on the forum and I don't feel like doing it in a nice, obtuse fashion to fly under the radar.
And, it's the people behind and the attitude of the FUD and DOOM as much as anything.
I was not looking for anything, btw, other than, as I stated in the OP, that to shout out about the fact the haters are WRONG, the game is still here and still profitable.
And, of course, to laugh at the haters. To their faces. The fools post and gnash their teeth and promote angst, while still paying...the irony is tasty.

Are you referring to the posts that expressed confusion over what you were talking about, or the posts that responded to your post with levity?
Many of us make fun of FUD and DOOM posts, and tend to make posts refuting them. However, that doesn't mean that a post complaining about FUD and DOOM posts will be treated as a grim and somber matter that is all SRS BZNS....

I suspect this was a preemptive post due to what was released on Tuesday. You could say the Positron interview and Second Nature's post was a positive spin on the same subject.

I can laugh long and hard at myself as easily as I can laugh about anything. I am well aware that my delusions are no more valid that anyone else's.
So, I am happy for the support of anyone that understands where I am coming from, but I know I am just as delusional as the rest of you.
Never-the-less, I do take the rude and immature remarks against the Developers more seriously than I should, in part because my life revolves around creating software. I do not like to see hard working, dedicated people assaulted by immature twits that could often not make anything useful for society themselves.

I don't get it.
I complain to the devs a fair bit. I file bug reports. I also pay to play the game, because I enjoy playing it -- but I still think it could be better.
Complaints are a sign that people value and appreciate the game; people don't complain loudly like that about something they don't care about.

Though I have to say that most of the 'DOOM' on these forums if very mild compared to other venues spread across the internet.

I could see how some folks might think it leads to DOOOOM for this game. I tried it at ComicCon last year, and was not impressed. Gameplay was almost exactly the same as the game that was supposed to kill us two years ago, except now I could play in stories with characters I care about, like GL or BM. Unfortunately, the console style gameplay does nothing but drive me away.
Maybe, someday, a new superhero game will come on the market with gameplay at least as good as this one along with a bunch of other new shinies, but I don;t expect it anytime soon. Until then...

please cater to DOOM. i'd love to see a space marine AT that can go fight the minions, lts, and bosses of hell on the moons of mars.
in all seriousness, i agree w/ the OP too. people don't like change. people especially don't like change to their characters (nerfs, which are usually completely justified - at least in this game). i'm all for rational discussion, just complaining for the sake of something new that might screw up their game experience is really unhelpful.
although, its totally become a meme on CoX forums. posts of 'DDDOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!' are now obligatory, and kinda funny depending on context, but other than that, its kinda selfish.

I complain a lot. Like, quite a helluva lot sometimes. Lack of stuff for RPers, lack of certain fixes that should have been done years ago. I will ***** up a storm about lack of certain costume parts, as David probably knows too well by now
But I also realise that stuff takes time. While they may not produce exaclty what I want right damn now, they are turning out stuff that is of increasingly good quality.
So, if what I do is complain, what then is DOOM?
DOOM would be; "OMFG the Devs don't give me what I want, they aren't making decent costume pieces, I dont like the ones that they've released which means their ****, game is failing, Game X is going to have so much better stuff, CoX is going to fail, you all suck, blaaah!"
Or something along those lines. Nothing constructive or feedback worthy at all. It is basically the worst kind of 'Do Not Want'.
So, I think the OP has a point. That, sadly, doesn't mean anything will change. But, hey, hopes and dreams and all that
