  1. My thanks to the ever-gracious and noble Healix and others that solved my problem for me.

I already had Audacity, which will convert the files into mp3 format, so all was well there.

I do not know the origin of the current log-in screen music, but I really like it and am glad it will survive The End of Time.
  2. Is what is being described here the phenomenom that when certain powers are used, the hero using it turns for some unknown reason and the perspective swings with them?

If so, alas, seven and a half years and I did not know what the Free Camera business was all about. If not... well, I would ask how to fix THAT, but there is only about a month left...
  3. Is the music that plays during the log-in screen available anywhere?
  4. "Please see a Trainer to further your abilities."

One can only hope she will be dressed as Swan.

Congratulations on your amazing wife. The price for such is above rubies.
  5. As things roll toward November, I want to document my heroes using Sentinel and take some screenshots of them. Unfortunately, most of them have Hasten on Auto, which means that not only do I have to go through the fun of logging off and loading up, but they have fiery Hasten Hands for a while once they appear.

Is there a an option in Options to turn that off so that my heroes will be normal-handed when I log on to to take screenshots?

And while I am asking, is there a place that has the MP3 of theme music on the Hero log-in screen?

    Thanks in advance!

Given the graphic in your sig, I could have sworn it was Ten.
  7. After a certain period of time, my client would just give me an error and crash. As a result, I wound up in a number of different Atlas Parks during the event.

It was as Peregrine Falcon has said. People turned off their AoE auras and buffs, and they dismissed their pets. There were only a couple of folks who trolled and spammed, and they got added to Ignore and events proceeded smoothly. There were a number of stumbles as folks tried to get the e/ holdtorch emote going, but the correct formulations were announced to assist those having trouble... without any insults appended.

It was a great event with thousands of folks who acted politely and helpfully. All the Atlas Parks I was in (on Virtue and then on Freedom when Virtue filled up) were simply great.

    Well done, City of Heroes!
  8. Finally went to AP3 on Freedom; AP6 on Freedom just opened.
  9. ...and then the program crashed again.

Still, that means a big turnout going on.
  10. Another crash and Hello Atlas Park 16!

    Ascendant!!!

I have to add my own props for Ascendant, who is Hi-Larious when he wants and also has the power to render anyone Misty-Eyed and Lumpy-Throated... all through the power of the printed word.

His Uncle Saul's AE arc was simply wonderful.

Also a big fan of his phone conversations.

    Woot.
  12. Well, I came back to my computer to look and indeed the poor ol' hoss had collapsed again.

Now in AP10 holding my torch!

I do not know if Virtue is down for the count or will be back up and taking log-ins at this point.

I am heading to Exalted only because it is the least likely to crash, and I will hold my torch until the point is made.
Hooking into this thread on the subject.

I am back in AP6 on Virtue, but I have to think that the hoss is going to stumble and collapse under the weight again...

Is that a good thing anyway, in a back-handed sort of manner?
  14. So I logged onto Exalted, joined the Ouro TF, went to AP and stood on the steps and raised my torch.

Alas, I was the only one there.

    So I took a screenshot.

    Game crashed.

Troy Hickman's scripting ability is simply amazing. I echo the above sentiments and add that the man is underpaid, underappreciated and underutilized. Well, the Community Center is some needed remedy for the second one, but the other two need correcting as well.
  21. The Center wonders:

"Would Freud say that this is NOT a response to that Statesman screen, and sometimes a shoulder spike is just a shoulder spike... or would he? Hmmmm..."
  22. When the 5 year old asks YOU to play, that is TRIPLE xp.

I would not blame anyone if they had to immediately exit the mission under those circumstances.

Yeah, I have seen upon occasion a huge cluster of red arrows at the last. I have also seen a huge cluster of GREEN arrows with white dots on them (which is supposed to be MY location) show up and often have some of them move. Some were apparently my teammates, but often it was the last spawn.

So I guess things are not quite as smooth as hoped, but it is not just me.
