So I was on a great team on my lvl 42 BR/Kin Rocky HPS when my 5 year old says "Daddy. Will you play outside with me?". After the mish is over I explain to the team and they understand. Raising a child is a fantastic adventure in it's own right and there will come a time, all to quickly, where she won't want to spend time with daddy. Double xp is very nice and all, but some real life xp is worth SO much more.

It's not how many times you get knocked down that count. It's how many times you get up.

When the 5 year old asks YOU to play, that is TRIPLE xp.

I would not blame anyone if they had to immediately exit the mission under those circumstances.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

The only fun story I have (I had social commitments almost all weekend) was the renewed realization how much I love the channel-mates I have found. Cause by about the third hour of Pick Up Groups I was about ready to hurl my monitor out the door.

I got my Peacebringer to 38 and Light Form. I'd been doing quite good the entire way. I'd just gotten the power (the animation set to Wispy for classicness ) and the team I was on starts the next mission (Arachnos).

Before the first group, I hit Light Form (which puts me to the hard cap for all but psi/toxic). I run in, alongside an /Invuln Brute... I immediately get stunned and start wobbling around. I immediately thought 'wait, Light Form was supposed to grant you mez protection, this can't be happening!' and... a moment later I'm dead (and so was the /invuln Brute).

Long story short: I realized Light Form provides practically no mez protection (~2.6 when you get it, 3.something at 50). After going a few more missions, I shelved that PB. Didn't even play any Sunday.

Oh well, so much for getting a 50 that I could seriously play through the Incarnate content (especially DA) with. At least First Ward and Night Ward were fun (even if the Animus Arcana repeatedly handed me my ***!).

Oh, you said fun.

Here's my Amusing Double XP Weekend Story...

I picked this weekend to disassemble my computer room... tear up the ancient rug and replace it with tile flooring... I finished reassembling the computers and logged in with around 25 minutes of double xp glory left...

For some reason I thought it was NEXT weekend...

My mind wanders so often you've probably seen its picture on milk cartons. - Me... the first person version of the third person Steelclaw

Well, Arachnos has quite a bit of psychic and toxic damage. Also mezzes. Not a very good first test for anything.
