Ambush farms have been around for ages. They aren't Comm Officers. They aren't Monkeys. They aren't Mitos. They aren't STF Recluses. They're meaningless in comparison to all of those. If someone seriously treated them as a priority issue, Paragon Studios has a much more serious management issue than I realized.

Hmm. After reading this thread detailing a fairly horrible bug that I don't even want to consider having to fight with....
Good. I needed an excuse to do nothing but play Skyrim during my free time this weekend. -
Quote:Programmers are paid hourly sometimes? Jesus, that seems like a horrible mistake for a business owner.Well, if they're salaried, then no, probably not. But if they're hourly, then yeah. also, I know that if I asked my salaried people to come in at 12 am and stay until 6 am, they'd be pushing for some extra compensation, and I don't think Dunkin Donuts would be enough.

Quote:Wrong.Yes, but even if a bad guy is totally drained of endurance, they can still attack you, where if you are out of endurance, you can't. It's like they really aren't dependent on endurance.
The hp/end bars in the targeting window are largely misleading and more often than not, will suggest empty/nearly empty values that aren't accurate. If you want to truly shut down a mob's endurance, you need to debuff their recovery on top of bottoming out their endurance. -

As for more physical judgement power animations (could possibly have Toxic added in but well, iTrials are what, 89% robots...oh well) could easily be taken from the game Prototype and the Devastator attacks. I'd be quite pleased to have either gigantic spikes spring up from the ground or hundreds of thin spikes burst out in all directions from my toon's body.

Group Area Buffs: To make buffing easier for Teams and Leagues, these buff powers now affect all the eligible characters within a 30-foot-radius around the targeted character. Quote:within a 30-foot-radius around the targeted character Quote:targeted character
Until I figured out your misunderstanding, I had absolutely no fathomable idea how it was going to slow the process down for you.
Edit: Sniped. :/ -
Yep. A couple of my SGmates have outright abandoned any notion of buffing during the trials because of it. It's kind of painful to go through 23 people on a BAF for the Siege and Siege+NS phase, and then immediately realize, "Huh...the person I started on has already lost 70-80 seconds of their 4 minutes".

I seem to recall this exact whine fest coming up over invention content. I'm sure that if I actually cared to look, there probably is a new post in the last month about how someone can't get their petless, soloing MM purpled-out. I'm even more sure that the exact same arguments will be touted by both sides with Mad Libs-style terminology exchange. Let's watch!

Because City of Data went totally useless a few years ago, the wikis have always been useless regarding specific data, and because I'm not interested in loading up the game anytime soon to look up one thing, I can't verify it. However, I do believe you are correct.

Quote:You considered Radiation Blast a "debuff" set and got angry when called on it? Even though FF Defenders are a rare and awesome breed, there is absolutely no way you chose to offer a FF/Rad Defender to a "LF Debuff" call without expecting this sort of negative reaction from the team host.orly? mr Steel Illusion on virtue or whatever your name may be.
i offered to join a LGTF sunday night or maybe it was past midnight so monday (morning?) i was rejected because /rad isnt really a debuff
and so i guess all us FF/Rad defenders cant really debuff things with irridiate can we?
whats your point of view on this /Rad defenders? -
Quote:So when was that image made? There was a point when the Red Tower did not give him invulnerability to Smash/Lethal/Energy. Nothing wrong with it, just mentioning that there's a world of difference between what you could do before that patch, and what you now have to do to leave the Red Tower up. That said, I can see more than half your team is using non-Smash/Lethal/Energy sets (other than the lolScrapper and possibly Tanker), so it's one of the few times it can be utilized effectively. We were able to defeat LR with blue and red towers up (http://i992.photobucket.com/albums/a...erstanding.jpg).
Before said patch, my group typically ignored everything but the Green because you could more or less brute-force past the other three Towers with an overload of buffs. The Green though? We found that leaving it up hurt our time more than helped. -
Quote:There are 4 Towers and you apparently only destroyed 3 of them. The problem was vs Recluse, After destroying 3 tower he still was able to do a lot of dmg with 4 Tohit debuff, 2 -dmg, and over %150 Res debuff.I have done over 100 LRSF and belive Statemans Miss a lot!!! when I debuff him with the help of a stromer.
If you did not destroy the Red Tower, you cannot debuff his extremely high damage.
If you did not destroy the Blue Tower, he has extremely high ToHit, much more than your purple patch-shrunken ToHit debuffs will be able to handle.
If you did not destroy the Green Tower, he has extremely high health and regeneration, which doesn't really factor into his damage output but it makes him more or less unable to be taken down in a reasonable scenario.
If you did not destroy the Orange Tower, he has extremely high defense and you run into the same issue as the Green above.
Leaving any one of the Towers can lead to issues.
Quote:Here is my Question, LR have a permanet buff on this SF all the time?
Quote:It look to me that the towers are just there to complement LR making him look pretty, and don't actully buff him, insteads he have a permanet buff on.
Quote:Also is there any trick to deal with his army of 40 Arachnos bosses that make me hit the recgh debuff cap? - +Defense buffs
- +Recharge buffs
- Recharge debuff resistance
- (conveniently, both the above two are available in Speed Boost)
- Mez the bosses
- KB the bosses
- Repel the bosses
- Kill faster

Quote:I miss these old cartoons. It's particularly sad that Cartoon Network stopped its "June Bugs" marathon a few years back because of the Boomerang network being launched.
And then subsequently, Boomerang now only plays ******* Scooby Doo crap. -
Quote:HEATHEN.Inspirations are organized in the tray based on color and size, with offensive to the left, defensive in the middle, and healing / awakens to the right. Larger Inspirations go at the top, so as to not accidentally use it.
The correct order is clearly Healing -> Offensive -> Defensive -> Blues -> Awakens/Breakfrees. Largest on the bottom with the Awakens and Breakfrees arranged one after the other to expedite rezzing and prevent accidental BF usage.
And of course:

Quote:Or more specifically, the idiots that insist on using voice-activated rather than push-to-talk despite them apparently all suffering some degree of nasal inflammation 100% of the time, thus needing to <SNRRRRRRKKKKKK> every 3 seconds while breathing loudly through their mouths.Ie., that one guy who thinks he's really cool and insisits on belching into the microphone (yes, I know someone like this in DDO).
Or they decide to get into conversations with people in their house without shutting off the microphone... Relevant WKUK video. -
Regeneration does not prevent damage. The amount it takes to equal any amount of defense or resistance is anywhere from minimum to maximum, entirely dependent on the amount of incoming damage.

Quote:I have considerations for people that choose to play their bright, flash-filled game in dark rooms. Snark aside, yes, I do have dull color schemes as well for that purpose.A friend of mine did this for the same reason you did. The bubbles gave me motion sickness and sometimes headaches. I enjoy playing with my friend, but I don't join their team when they are playing their bubbler. Bright colors may make it easier for you, but remember there is someone playing that now "vision-offending color" toon that may have their game experience ruined by your actions.
I rarely take such complaints seriously, though. As such, I'm not going to deny that I'm heartless for it but when there's any and every condition out there that someone could claim they suffer? My response is to ignore the hypothetical complaints. The game provides solutions and if those aren't good enough...eh. -
Quote:"Yes."*On PBU: Don't you still need at least one toggle to softcap people?
*That "yes" is conditional on the use or non-use of shenaniganizing Synthetic/Normal Hamidon Enhancements, specifically Membranes, in PBU/PB. Either way, the ST buffs will still be granting ~38-39% defense without shenaniganization and Maneuvers at 5-6% gets people close enough for it to not matter. If they're able to be inside Dispersion at the same time? Well, then all of the above is moot. -
Quote:Nope. And don't worry, it never was nor will it ever be a good idea.Should I take heals (Aid Other, Life Drain/Aid Self)? I didn't before, but I'm not sure if that was (let alone still is) a good idea.
Quote:Are Assault, Tactics, and Vengeance worth it? Assault seems good. Maybe the other two can be skipped? Or are they good enough to take if I can make the room?
Vengeance is a great power for your own survival in bad situations and it's a good place to stick random bonus-granting IOs since you don't need to slot it at all.
Quote:Any suggestions for an APP? I was thinking Elec for Power Sink, at least if I take all of Leadership. Would it be necessary? If not, are there better options, or is it really just up to preference?
For PPPs, my obvious choice would be Soul Mastery for Power Boost, which provides the +special of PBU at half the recharge (though at the cost of the +damage, which I find more or less meaningless anyway). -
Quote:I'm sorry but whenever I see someone say $15. is too much I always think of this guy
Why did you have to provide proof that these people exist? You made my brain literally ache from reading that guy's lamentation.

Then the "new $1200 computer" and other factors... Gah. GRAGH. [Insert Godzilla-style roar.] It wouldn't be so bad if he weren't so self-righteous while providing self-implicating proof that he is clearly not making an effort to better his situation. -
Or you could be smarter about it and not demand "Golden Ghost" when "Auric Spectre" means the same thing and even comes off as more exotic (and FireFox can bite it, both spellings are correct). And no, it's already mine.

Quote:I make a point of having all of my buffs use vision-offending colors and combinations.I can understand people not wanting Speed Boost, especially in cave maps. I can even understand why the brightness of the Ice or Thermal shields can be a bit overwhelming. Your decision not to take those powers is your business, and I shall respect it. But with the power customization there are a lot less harsh coloring and lighting options for those shields. And I would like to think having those powers for those people that do want them, and just not using them on people who don't would be a safer bet. Just thought I would give you a different viewpoint. Have a nice day
First, it makes it easier to keep track of the buffs. And when you're on the teams I tend to play on, it's much less annoying to watch for when people are less "colorful" than keep track of one to three tiny icons in a sea of 30 stretching across my screen from the Team list.
Secondly, it lets me quickly identify the indignant churls that are not worth consorting with on Virtue.
