New Judgements?

Hey Devs, any chance of new Judgement powers sometime soon?

The current selection leaves out a lot of the basic powers in the game.

I remember in the ustream that aired shortly before i20.5 which introduced the new lore pets they were working on new trees for the other incarnate powers but didn't give any specific time frame.

Personally, I'm hoping for options that are unique to the HEATs and VEATs.

Wish List:
Photon Seeker Swarm (Peacebringer only). Ranged Targeted AoE. Summons 2 Photon Seekers per tier that detonate on the target with an increasing spherical AoE per tier. Also has the usual Luminous Blast secondary effects.

Total Eclipse (Warshade only). PBAoE that combines the Warshades self buffs and target debuffs into one massive attack. Also has the usual Umbral Blast secondary effects.

Omega Cluster Bomb (Bane/Crab Spider Only). Ranged Ground AoE, as Photon Seeker Swarm but with the mesmerizing effects of the standard Omega Bomb. Damage and Mez radius scales up per tier.

Not sure about the Widows, haven't played them enough to get any good ideas.


Anyone else have some suggestions for the Devs?

I am sure they are planning on increasing the Judgement Slot Power Set, as soon they can, I don't think 4 Judgement Powers Sets is enough.

Devs did infer that more Judgments might happen. This might not have been their intention, or they focused on getting out a lot of new Lore trees instead(I expected maybe 4 more, and we got 12).

I hope more Judgment tree do happen as I have some characters of which none of the current trees fit concept-wise.

Even if they just cover the main 5 elements I would be happy - others may not.
We have Fire
We have Water (Ice)
Need Earth
Need Air (Could consider Ion to be air)
Need Metal - not sure how it could work, possibly a Physical judgement that could fit everybody?

We have Dark, so maybe we need "Holy" - but again, Ion could cover this.

I don't think we need a distinctly holy judgement just a generic huge pillar of light from the sky striking the location of your choice with pure energy dmg could be a satelight laser type weapon could be a favor from on high

Only if the light and damage are on a slight delay and the power starts by causing a Knock Up on all the enemies.

Everything lifts into the air and then FWOOSH!

AoE Lift animation from Grav/ inside pillar of light with gradually focusing/intesifying inner beam. Time explosive flash to when mobs hit the ground.

Would be my go to judgement if that ever happened.

you seem a little confused;
western elements = 4, earth, air, fire, water
eastern elements = 5 , fire, water, wind, wood, metal

you seemed to have combined the two, and neither one of them really fit the CoX game exactly. i would just like to see a judgment for all the damage types available in game, ain't too much to ask.

That'd be fun, but anything more than a chance for knockup on higher iterations would be okay, since most of the Judgement powers only have some mitigation in the same way. Definitely a cool idea that I would like to see. Maybe with a fist pound, PbAOE animation, or something.

That's what I was thinking. Also, Dark/Holy seems a bit Final Fantasy and not CoH... but *shrug*.

Why would anyone want a nuke thats primarily lethal or smashing damage? I dont care how cool it might look its going to be complete waste due to how it works with all the insane resistances we have in the end game. Thats kind of the same reason why I am against having a psionic nuke too, its going to be a huge waste of damage.

I'd love to get [Mind Scream] since a toggle Judgement would be rather unique. However, the devs would need to tone down the radius for players...

Presumably they would, you know, compensate with a Smashing/Lethal Judgement by making it hit a little harder.

Also, part of the beauty of Judgement is you can have multiple Judgements if you primarily care about mechanics first. A Lethal Judgement would completely mess up zombies and Carnies(?). Smart players can make that kind of flexibility work for them.

Me, of course I want a strength-themed Judgement. Throw a massive chunk of rubble or an exploding bus. That's why there's no buses left on the streets, you know.

I could really go for a couple natural themed judgement powers. For instance:

Grenades: you throw a grenade into a location creating a massive explosion. Upgrades could include a flash grenade that does damage and also debuffs to hit.

Army/Backup: You pull out a walkie talkie and several guys run in behind you and lay waste to everything in front in a cone. Another option would be to call in a big freaking tank that blasts the spot but I guess it's a bit of a silly concept.

You character whips out some kind of thrown weapon which quickly makes a circle around you and does damage a la Xena Style :P. There could also be a version where your guy holds up a giant sword for a second and then slashes around himself in a big circle.

I also like the "Holy Judgement" power with the knockup!

Vending machines. Massive Knoackback and an even more massive stun attached to it.

Hell yea. I don't care if you're whining that I'm knocking the AV (because, let's face it, a completely smashing judgement NEEDS to be able to knock ANYTHING back -or close to), I'm still throwing my vending machine in his face.

Bonus points if we get an emote to grab a can and drink

A bunch of flying Swords/Axes/Maces (selected in the customization screen) swoop down from above and cut/chop/bash the crap out of everything around you (PBAoE) or around your target (TAoE).

Counter point: All of the Judgements have considerable mitigation regardless of which branch you take since defeated enemies deal zero damage.

How about just the typical ranged attacks:

dark blast - got it - void
fire - got it - pyro
ice - got it - cryo
elec - got it - ion
rad - need it - nuclear -def high -def for short time vs medium -def for long time PBAOE

sonic - need it - vibro/sono -rez high -rez for short time vs medium -rez for long time ConeAOE

archery/weapons - need it - tanks/heavy artillery increased number targets/damage with chance to fire DOT for incidiary rounds vs very long ranged (combination of smash and leathal damage) and use crosshairs to target the epicenter like orbital lance (no actual target/critter needed tho)

psy - need it - psycho -rech, vs -rech with -acc, fear PBAOE

energy - need it - etherial(?) pillar/column of light TargAOE single/10 target(s) irrisitable damage x2 vs max 16 targets with high chance to x2 dam

I did combine them mistakenly..

"Incarnates are humans who have drunk from the the Well of the Furies in some way, empowering them with the powers of the gods themselves." I consider all gods to some how relate to the common elements in our world. So if you have each incarnate power related to a simple element, people can do what they wish from it.

Dark/Light . I wrote "Holy" at first, but forgot not everybody likes religion. I changed it to Light because - what is the counter-part to a Dark God?

Although - I'd be just as happy if we get one judgement per damage type.

Some physical attack ideas:

Ninja Judgement - You appear and disappear in flashes of smoke several times in the AOE radius, slashing each time you appear

Whirlwind Judgement (weapon) you spin around a lot flailing your weapon in sweeping arcs

The Judge - Ultimate Foot Stomp (Super Strength): Nuff said

If I could draw judgement sets from a magic hat, I would like to have;

  • A rocket launcher, where your char pulls a rocket launcher and fires it at the enemy group dealing fire and smashing damage. Either one rocket, or make the launcher look like M202A1 and have it fire multiple rockets like those Malta Titans or IDF heavy troopers. Rockets flying left and right Wooosshh!
  • Tactical carpet bombing, you pull out an walkie talkie and drop an airstrike on the enemies. Or maybe a missile like those Warburg nukes.
  • Orbital satellite laser, you start tapping your wrist console like with the Surveilance power and a laser beam from space incinerates your enemies!

Just to make up few natural/technology themed jugements lol.
