Oh I'm not worried.

We'll still get all our regular stuff same as always, I'm not one of the tinfoil hat brigade (on this topic, anyway).

They want to make profit and they do that by shearing the sheep, not by slaughtering the herd.

I'm just pointing out it's in their interest as a business to find the balance point where profit taking and customer unrest intersect.

This paid bonus pack offers less than the last one, and if it goes over gangbusters they have no motivation to deliver a better offering next time. Heck they might say "geez, they paid ten bucks for THAT? let's see if we can get away with ONE costume and a couple of emotes!"

OMG OMG OMG! Those are GREAT pieces! Fetish-inspired bridal wear, what could be better! No cape shall hide the beauty of those female pieces!

I prostrate myself in the direction of Sexy Jay in gratitude, and remind the developers that stuff like this is always a great way to get extra money out of me. Can Mandy's clothes be far behind, if we're getting this now? In fact some of these pieces seem familiar. SWEET

Now I will grant you that your right the $5 price would perhaps have been a better price point for the pack. More people would grab it. As it is I won't bother for my second account. I wanted it for the male tux, but now that I've seen the female tux I have a character concept starting to play around in the back of my mind.

They don't have to slaughter the herd...they just have to turn up the heat a little bit at a time.

New badges. $10, $20, $50....





That's my only real worry here. I'm sure we'll still get good free stuff, but watch some stuff I want be released in a paid for pack with poor value for money because people eat them up reguardless

That would be a good addition, come to think of it.

Otherwise, generally speaking I'm a little amused by this doom-crying in here. If they ever release a pack with items I don't want, I just won't buy it. That's the beauty of paid expansions for cosmetic stuff: if you don't want it, you don't have to pay for it and your game does not suffer.

I can see certain people getting a really big kick out of this. Host your own in-game wedding ceremony. Brings back memories of 'MUD marriages'. Awesome addition.

But yea, the two costumes shown in the announcement, plus some themed emotes, for ten bucks? Not for me, but I'm sure it will do well without me.

Marketing is waiting to see How well the Wedding Pack sells. If sales are good, expect to see the Roman costume set as part of next months "Costume and Emote" Pack. If sales bomb, we may see it released as part of issue 12 content.

It was worth the $9.99 just to have the deluxe tux for my Scrapper (who is female). Finally - a decent butt cape!

I'm a little confused. I rushed off to buy this, primarily for the female costume pieces (I've wanted a chick in tux & tails for some time now), but I'm a bit pissed the guys still have to show up without pants that match the jacket. I can live without a damn cummerbund, I can just make do with a cloth belt for that... but unless my tux is black, any pants I choose look stupid.

Yeah it's possible to take this to a paranoid extreme, but pay for extras cat is out of the bag and only a sucker thinks they won't be testing the limits of this technique.

I'm not against it- if I think it's worth ten bucks I'll but it, if I don't I won't.

But we're going to see more of these things.
If they make a good chunk on this pack, with substantially less content than the last one, who's to say the next offering won't be even more piebald.

[/ QUOTE ]less content, really? right now there are about 8 costume sets in it, and 4 emotes. comparatively the last gve set was 2 costume sets, i temp power and access to an area that people basicly use as a thru way. now for a dedicated costume ho like myself, there is a good bit more content here than the last one, though the jump pack was pretty damn spiffy.
