I'm available whenever if you need a stand in. Also, I think you have the costume codes for most of my toons if you wanted to use them, other than maybe the newest outfit for my main.

I logged in and Kitsune was waiting in City Hall for me.
TYVM!!!
And that should give 'em a month before I care about this aspect of the game again. For now I'm gonna go swimming in my hordes of invention salvage... -

Justice, blueside. global is @Dust Raven
I'm somewhat expecting a VIP handout at some point, but since they were handing out free Dark Matter aura codes at the same time day announced the end of days... I'm expecting but not hoping. -
Since that same sidebar seems to indicate the awards were handed out at Dragon*Con yesterday, do we have any idea who won?

Since I wasn't too interested in the Incarnate content, and I already had access to everything else I did have an interest in via my veteran rewards, I didn't keep up my VIP membership. Generally I've subbed for 1 month with the release of each new issue to as to spend my tokens on the new VIP costume sets, pay up my base upkeep, then let my sub lapse and otherwise spent my money directly on PP to unlock new powersets and buy attuned enhancements.
Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to, there's no chance of resubbing with the next issue as that's just not going to happen, and now I'm locked out of my base, with no VIPs currently on the roster. Even though there is to be no further development on the game, any chance the ability to pay for base upkeep can be unlocked to Premium or even f2p?
With all the salvage I have in base storage, I kinda feel like I've been stocking up for the end of days, and... -
I'm not certain of the visual content, but I can't get this song out of my head: http://youtu.be/5yAP5ClSbgQ

I hope the Post your best costume and similar threads are exempt from #4's addendum concerning images.
And how I'm just thirsty. -
Um... wait. What?
Okay, forget that. All I want to know is what this silly cow pen instance will be named, and what ridiculous abbreviations will we use while forming up teams? Old MacDonald's Mad Cow Massacre? Where's the Beef? Abattoir of DOOM!!!? -

But speaking of "code".
As a programmer and object designer (nothing fancy mind you, but I used to make stuff for The Sims and a few other games I played), I know that "painting" a "3D object" isn't as simple as it may sound. It really comes down to how those "3D objects" are "coded". Sometimes you can just open the object in a compatible editor and change the color/opaqueness of a side and ta-da, done. Sometimes you have to open the code of the object and edit it directly. None of knows what the case is for base objects (or any object in game for that matter). Some of us may have some pretty educated guesses, but they are still guesses.
And then comes the work of making the changes. Let's assume it's an easy change; that you can just make a quick and easy change to the object. How many objects are there? Where are they? What does the code call them? That's a lot of work, as in time invested, to make a change like this. And if making the changes is not as easy as some would think, that makes the work more difficult, and the time invested greater.
So no matter now you look at it, this really isn't an easy change/fix. -

The Incarnate content/powers/slots/etc should remain exclusively VIP. That's the whole point of subscribing really. Everything else you can buy with points and maintain with a premium subscription.
Other than Supergroups. I really think Supergroups should be entirely non-vip. Gate it behind a reward token tier like the AE and Invention system if that makes sense, but there's really no reason one of the greatest means of maintaining a consistent group of players and keeping them in touch should be barred from maintaining a functional base. -

Quote:Well, Ray is a non-unique proper noun/name, not to mention a word in the English language with multiple definitions. So filtering it out would be like filtering out Bill (the Galactic Hero) or Norm (Peterson) or any similar name. Still surprised I got it though. As touchy as they are about names of existing comic book characters, I'm surprised that DC's Ray didn't have that name in the auto-filter.

I'll definitely acknowledge a difference between a name I'm happy to have, and a name I'm genuinely surprised someone else didn't think of (and use) first. For example, I don't think the name "Dust Raven?" is something anyone but myself would pick, though I'm a bit surprised I can put a question mark in there. So I'm happy I'm able to play my own doppelganger on my 2nd account. I'm looking forward to seeing how his various doppelgangers' names appear in missions.
Of the names I'm genuinely surprised someone else didn't pick before I did...
On Justice:
Fox Girl
Legsweep
Nature's Ally
Spikes
On Protector:
Kickboxer
On Freedom:
Fissionette
On Liberty:
Ray
The last two perhaps surprise me the most, especially Ray. So simple yet so unexpectedly available. -
Credo solum histriones qui temperandum in VIP praemia sunt qui potest Latine loqui. Si loqui latine, deinde rebus non digna maiore.
Etiam, ego vere frui typing quae in Google Vertere et transferendis eos. Facit me ridere. -
Quote:I'm becoming convinced you don't properly understand the current system or how it works. I'm already convinced you just want the costume pieces without investing the resources asked of you.Indeed, VIP Rewards it are not the Tier 9 Repeatable rewards. And actually, currently, VIPs who have filled T8, can skip the T9 Repeatable rewards.
My suggestion is just to open up the VIP rewards to ALL VIPs, not open up the whole reward tree.
If this is cherry picking your reward, then so is the current system, since i can pick my reward in my Tier and leave some rewards for later, and even skip the T9 rewards in general.
VIP rewards should be for all VIPs.
As it is, your wish will almost certainly be granted, just not today, and then only for items which have been retired from the T9VIP rewards. Be patient. -

I would also love to see a new fansite kit. Currently the only one is the ancient City of Heroes (as in not villains) kit. The CoV kit is, as far as I can tell, nonexistant. We need something that has all the handy icons and graphics for each AT (all 14) as well as each alignment (all 4) as well as each starting area (all 3).
Please do this! -
Eh, I figured it was only .99, so I just went and did it. It works.

I'd like to create a new account that I can access and manage under my already existing master account. I'm pretty sure I understand how to do this (log in, acquire a game code, enter it in, and make sure I opt to create a new account instead of upgrade or apply to my existing account), but I'd like to know if I can use the $0.99 VIP starter kit code for this, or will my existing VIP account mess it up somehow?

Quote:In this case, the two masters are the playerbase as a whole, and whoever gets paid. And when it comes down to it, it's the one who gets paid who's more important (not in a friendly sense, but in a bottom line sense).I predict the cost will be substantially higher than you expect, whether in $$$, time invested, or both.
Whatever mechanism they settle on needs to serve two masters.
I don't expect the full set of Celestial Armor (for example) to cost the same as a standard costume pack (for example), in fact I expect it to cost quite a bit more (I'm guestimating 1200 points, or 3x the cost of the current costume bundles). Sure, you could buy 1200 points and more for just $15, a third what that three reward tokens cost, but then again, each reward token comes with a free months VIP subscription, or a free 1320 points (buyer's choice).
