Premium Woes

Since I wasn't too interested in the Incarnate content, and I already had access to everything else I did have an interest in via my veteran rewards, I didn't keep up my VIP membership. Generally I've subbed for 1 month with the release of each new issue to as to spend my tokens on the new VIP costume sets, pay up my base upkeep, then let my sub lapse and otherwise spent my money directly on PP to unlock new powersets and buy attuned enhancements.

Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to, there's no chance of resubbing with the next issue as that's just not going to happen, and now I'm locked out of my base, with no VIPs currently on the roster. Even though there is to be no further development on the game, any chance the ability to pay for base upkeep can be unlocked to Premium or even f2p?

With all the salvage I have in base storage, I kinda feel like I've been stocking up for the end of days, and...

Don't give up all hope. It's completely possible that, since NCSoft won't accept payments for CoH at this time, they'll basically give EVERYONE VIP status until the servers are shut off.

We'll know more for sure in the coming weeks, once they begin making announcements.

I'm somewhat expecting a VIP handout at some point, but since they were handing out free Dark Matter aura codes at the same time day announced the end of days... I'm expecting but not hoping.

I logged in and Kitsune was waiting in City Hall for me.

And that should give 'em a month before I care about this aspect of the game again. For now I'm gonna go swimming in my hordes of invention salvage...

Hopefully, come Tuesday, making everyone VIP in-game (but not on the forums- see Zwill's comment about that in some other thread) will be relatively easy for anyone still around to do.
