incidentally I never have a problem matching the Sinister pants with the Sinister top.Same for the Justice outfit. How about that?

Just out of curiosity, since I haven't test it, have you tried the Formal pants (or whatever they are called) available in the pants section? The new tuxes texture look like the Formal jacket we already have.
But, as I said, I haven't tried it.

I hope I'm missing them, because pants/slacks just don't match... AT ALL.

See how the slacks DO NOT match the tux if you choose any thing other than black? There NEEDS to be tux pants so they will share the same TEXTURE and MATCH!
that is all

Exaggerate much? No, they don't match exactly....but, except on close inspection, the difference isn't very noticeable.

Unless it turns into one of those details that just nag you.
It would be nice to have some pants with the same textures as the suit and tux jackets.

How about catering to people with trained eyes that can tell the difference between a texture that was bumpmapped and one that wasn't?

I can see certain people getting a really big kick out of this. Host your own in-game wedding ceremony. Brings back memories of 'MUD marriages'. Awesome addition.
But yea, the two costumes shown in the announcement, plus some themed emotes, for ten bucks? Not for me, but I'm sure it will do well without me.
[/ QUOTE ]
I feel the same way. My only concern with this "trend" (and Lighthouse said there will be more of these Pay Packs to come) would be if they included actual content. Charging for a small collection of costume pieces and emotes is one thing, charging for actual content: Access to a Trial or TF for example, would be step in the wrong direction.
These are nice costumes, but I don't have any concepts using them, so I can't see buying them in the immediate future (and I don't RP, so no appeal on the emotes).
The back of the tux reminds me of one of the martial arts robes. Don't know if that's been mentioned, but maybe it uses the same physics.

Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

Pay packs for a costume bundle? Great, not a problem.
Pay pack for a bundle that's this chintzy on male options? Yeah, not happening.

I was going off the screen shot posted earlier in the thread. This pack does not appeal to me and seems like a waste of $10. I have no intention of buying it.
As a side note if the pack were around 5 dollars I probably would have bought it. With the GvE goodies I figured about 5 for the costumes and another 5 for the powers. It can be argued that the emotes are like powers, but to me those are more like a costume.
All I can say is great timing! I just got my first 50 hero during the Double XP weekend. I got the idea of a warshade that merged with a stage magician. "Oh! But there is no good tux costume parts," I said to myself. The very next day, they announced this pack.

I do have to say, that charging for the Wedding Pack, they should be prepared to expect complaints from paying customers.

Not if you're obsessive.
I am. I love the leather skirts but I haven't used them yet since there isn't a top that matches the texture close enough that it wouldn't niggle and bug me until I couldn't stand it anymore.

I have to admit, DT, and I've liked your posts in the past, that when I see the difference, it irritates me. I still use it because it's as close as I can get, but it irritates me.
I'm also irritated because of a lack of "rough leather" available all over instead of just one spot. "Sleek" isn't available in each slot either...
Then again, I'm mildly irritable, and I know it, so I don't complain about it much.
First of all, can we stop using EQ as the shining examples of what other MMOs do. EQ is based on an outdated MMO model that SoE used. However, most modern day western MMOs do not use that model and instead give free large scale updates like CoH does and some of them do it faster.
That being said let me post a qupte from Lighthouse that brings about my frustration.

I don't know that any other new for pay packs will be tied to holidays. This one just worked out that way. To be clear, it's likely that we wouldn't have done this extra event and the corresponding Wedding Pack if we didn't charge for the pack.
Unfortunately, I'm not armed with more details on what we will offering in the future other than the fact that we intend to do more. We appreciate your feedback! .
[/ QUOTE ]
Basically what this says to me is that unlike many other MMO companies, NCSoft is not willing to have their developers program in an event and/or do a live event. Last year did we get a V-Day event and new costume pieces for free? As far as I remember we did. Please also note that I don't blame the Devs. I know that they are giving us content in the best way possible. However, I do blame the NCSoft regime because what I am hearing from this post is that they do not want to throw any of the >$1.5 Million they bring in monthly on a holiday event.
As I've said almost no modern MMO does this and I am afraid that the next time they want to put out something they will make us pay again. And the time after that. And then what happens if NCSoft decides that they will be a little lighter on the free updates so that they can fill in their $10 expansions. This is my concern and this is why, even though I would like the costume pieces and emotes, I will not be buying this pack.

My point was last year the deveolpers were allowed to program an entire new event and did not have to charge anything for anything. This year we do get an event, but it is the same one that we got last year (ie. no new code). However, from what it sounds like NCSoft did not want the developers "developing" anything unless they could make extra money off of it.
