I went with Demon/Storm for concept and so far, I'm loving it. Just got Hell on Earth yesterday and I gotta say, demon damage meshes pretty well after laying Freezing Rain. Of course, it only gets better after Hurricane. So no doubt in my mind that I will be running the same thing when it goes live

This is directed toward the OP: You can't let a few idiots ruin your fun time with masterminds. In my eyes, its easier to run into a bad mastermind compared to a bad brute...so immediately, alot of peeps lablel masterminds as crap. Obsolete, my bots/traps, prefers soloing...I think I've ran into far too many teams where I feel like I'm being 'babysat' to make sure my pets don't obtain any unwanted aggroe...which is stupid because A) I'm properly binded and B) If I do obtain any additional aggroe, I can handle it myself.

I think mainly, I'm tired of trying to meet people's expectations. I'm capable of doing it, I don't need to be tested or observed or ordered to make sure I'm not a dribbling bafoon. But thats what makes me happy about red side, everything has the capability of soloing!

Ok, toyed around with the build and this is what I came up with.

Ok, been a LOOONG while since I've played a dominator and have found a Mind/Earth dominator looking pretty enjoyable. Two major questions:

1) Mind's primaries...they all look so good! Are there any skip worthy powers? Besides the tier1 & 2 of course.

2) What epic power pool would probably blend the best with this set? Not quite certain this early in the game...


My goal is of course, permadomination. I want to try to see if I can do it without hasten but I'm not certain...if anyone has any advice/builds to post, that would be great!

Your going to find alot of AE nonsense pretty much anywhere you go. From what I've seen, I notice alot less AE PHARMZ on Virtue compared to Freedom IMO.

VU2009 & Virtue TF's channels are both my source of 'casual' teaming. Every now and again you'll find someone starting up an event of some kind or TF/SF.

People should also consider building teams rather than finding them. The star should not bring fear!

An old blaster friend told me this once: NUKE EVERY TIME ITS UP.

And so I did. And still do. And destroy everything in my path.

No matter what you do, your going to get griped for doing something in this game that doesn't meet someone else's expectations.

Go do what the tank said, go form your own ITF and run it however the hell you want to.

1st situation: Yes. Petition the ************. Something like that is innappropriate for ANY setting. If I knew his global, I'd find a way to make sure he got kicked from this game for good.

2nd situation: Yes. Lighten up. Virtual/Real life are two totally different things. Compared to the 1st situation, they are imposing harm on something that doesn't exist. But hey, we all have our 'hot spots' but sometimes all you can do is make the best of things.

No way that pistols would ever become a primary set for scrappers. Seems illogical to make a set based around pistol whipping and short range(I'm aware of claws).

I do on other hand think another ancillary power pool involving pistols would make alot of sense. Scrappers have, what, 3 mastery's to choose from? Pistols might make an interesting addition. Just an easy transfer from a Gunslinger: Hollow Round, Incendiary Round, Liquid Nitrogen Round & Rapid Fire/Explosive Tip.

My 2 cents.

I was a little dissapointed myself...Red Dwarf shall stay blue for now...darn.

I find myself running into less and less of those 'n00b' players. If it means I have to wait a lil' bit longer to find a team that is non-AE; I'll GLADLY wait.

My last bad 'incident' was actually sort of surprising. There certainly was no bad teammate in my opinion, just a bad team structure I suppose...we lacked communication and thought.

An ITF was broadcasted through the VU chat channel and I wanted to bring along my blaster. I meet up and a few minutes within getting there, we begin the TF. We start off the first mission with no words spoken as we all pull up to the first mob. All of a sudden, a few of the brutes zoom past and the leader announces that we're gonna just free the sybils by stealthing.

Uh-oh...I'm not a fan of the 'Speed ITF'. Well, things go underway...badly. Half the team is working there way through the mobs and the other half is trying to stealth and free the sybils. I was...confused. After a few failed attempts to stealth, we all meet up again and start working our way through the mobs. We free all of them and head out towards the altar; we all fly up and free the last sybil: End mission 1.

Mission 2: Wow...just 'phail' written over every one of our foreheads. The leader announces again that we will be stealthing this one by destroying the cysts and moving to the next. I was in no mood to argue and was a little intoxicated behind the keyboard; so I just followed the dieing path of the brutes. A few attempts of 'phail' and we all meet up again at the beggining of the map and decide the better decision is to work our way through the 'normal' way. Good lawd...end mission 2.

We arrive to mission 3. Smooth sailing. We decide to pull the gens to the bridge to avoid lag that the whole team wishes to avoid. A controller pulls for us/tp's us to the comp/AV's...etc etc, complete. Not alot of problems. End mission 3.

Mission 4: Disaster/Hate/Success. Well, seeing how we were trying to speed our way through this whole thing in failure, I decided to open my big stupid mouth and suggest "Roof pull?". Now, in every attempt that I've ever seen/been a part of, this tactic always seemed to work for me in great success. Seems to have always made sense of me since the two halves of the roof are always a great way to break LoS for the healing Nictus and the stupid stun when he rezzes. So we decide to have one of the brutes hold off the healing Nicti while everyone attacks Romi. Failure. 2 other brutes fall fast and our tank also falls as well. On top of that, seems like one of the controllers had a hard understanding that the roof splits LoS between players as well, so our /emp had a hard time trying to keep the team alive. Attempt#2: Same thing, and I MEAN, the SAME THING. Except this time around, some words were exchanged between players that shouldn't really...well, be repeated. Attempt#3: I open my big mouth again. I offer that I will pull and hold the healing Nicti's attention since it seemed that the other brute was needed. I pull and keep the nicti from healing but it seems the AoE and pet summoning Nicti was too much for our group...and once again, the controller gave no heals or rez when asked for...well, he rezzed one teammate but the wrong one...more words were exchanged and alot more insults/expletives. Myself and two other of the teammates tryed to tell people to cool down. To make matters worse, the brutes entangle in an arguement and doesn't stop until about 2 attempts later...at this point, its a nightmare for us all. We all really push and FINALLY get a break and defeat Romi 3 times, but since the healing Nicti was out of LoS from Romi, it still remained...we then start attacking the Nicti. Those that can attack from a distance continue to do so. The brutes are so flustered with eachother at this point and are argueing over everything. We then defeat the Nicti and then defeat the traitors; while the two brutes continue to exchange words.

It was terrible. I've never had a team so out of sync...EVER. Really, I just had the foundation of the idea 'Speed ITF'. Seems like a Freedumb thing to do. Not a big fan.

Just happy I got the name Disarm reserved for this occasion! Piztolz for life!

Just bought a new laptop here and I'm curious as to how to allow my middle mouse button(the scroll) to allow me to zoom in and out? Is there a bind that can fix this? Thanks in advance!

My intention is not to start a flame war. (Period) Took a break from the game just prior to i13 and I had the chance to toy around with shields last night but didn't get to play with PD yet. I haven't logged on a villain yet so I'm curious, player's aura rocking? Seems like a bad [censored] set for a MM though, I can forsee an awesome Thug or Merc set. Can't really see it relavant for a Corruptor though, but thats coming from someone who likes to solo alot. Thanks.
