Question about Costume Change

Just a quick question: If I created a bind to change my costume, would the special effect for the costume switch still take place? Just curious while the servers are down. Thanks!

I would think as long as you set the costume change effect under the costume window that it would, but I haven't tested it.

If you are using a costume change emote, yes. Binds do the same thing as entering an emote in the chat window, but allow you to do it with a single key.

...I forgot what experience means.

Thanks for the help!

Well, you'd want the /cce command to change costumes with an emote, as opposed to the older /cc command, which just changes the costume.

/cce 0 ccspin versus /cc 0

Actually, if you set it on the Costume Window (Menu > Costume) and then change your Keybinding Options (Menu > Options > Keybinds), no, pushing those buttons will not activate the costume change emote. I have tried this.

In order to do this you need to set up a /bind.

This is what I use:

/bind numpad1 "emote none$$cce 0 cclightning"
/bind numpad2 "emote none$$cce 1 ccprestochango"
/bind numpad3 "emote none$$cce 2 cccast"
/bind numpad4 "emote none$$cce 3 ccspin"
/bind numpad5 "emote none$$cce 4 cclightning"

You can substitute any key you like for the "numpad#" part and then use whichever CC emote you want to use at the end.

Adding the "emote none" part to the beginning just assures that your combat stance will turn off so that the CC emote can work properly.
