While Crabtree is a good mall, keep in mind that it's going to be an absolute sea of humanity between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's packed into a small area compared to some of the other malls nearby, with deck parking and much worse traffic.

Yeah, I have the feeling that tomorrow is just too soon. (I'd be up for it, though.) South Point is a great mall to hang out at.

Hell yeah! I moved down to NC a couple months ago, so I have to miss the last DC meetup, and it would be awesome to meetup down here in Raleigh!

I wouldn't say this is representative of the gaming industry as much as it is a company that grew extremely rapidly finally realizing that they oversaturated the market and people did all they could with their games.

A lot of people are going "they shut down a successful game!" etc etc, but money speaks the truth. This news has been all over my facebook, and it's amazing now many people are commenting "I don't play anymore, but this still hurts".
Well, yeah, the fact that you don't play any more is why this is happening. -
I don't remember how closely it resembled Staff Fighting, but a couple years ago I posted a pretty detailed description of a Bo Staff powerset.

If there's some way legitimately get a kickstarter going to purchase the CoH IP, I'm am in for sure. Someone with the legal knowledge and know-how, please look into this!

Without CoH calling to me, I'll be spending more of my time working on my world-building project which will eventually be a setting for a GURPS campaign. CoH was the only MMO I played, and while I might enjoy The Secret World, I have the feeling I'm going to get more enjoyment from creating my own world instead of playing in someone else's.

From what I've read, it's likely the devs last day today. The servers will chug along for a little bit, since they are in Austin with ncsoft's other location, but by the end of November, they'll be turned off.
