So, Marauder, Aurora Borealis, and Pendragon walk into Atlas Park...

Me too! Very White Knight. I'm sure this is going to spawn more "WANT KNIGHT ARMOR" posts. I like Aurora's costume too.

Now you have to wonder, are they -all- going to be Trainers?

So after the defeat of their leader and destruction of their city, they switch sides? I can maybe see this for Aurora and Pendragon, but Marauder? He seemed to be the most loyal of the Praetors.

Maybe he got clued in to all the illicit stuff with Hamidon and the like. He was a brute but he did actually seem to care about his job, even though he enjoyed it for the chance to crack skulls.

Dunno! I'm sure the idea was to shock us. Which. Yeah. well done!

Maruder is NOT A GOOD GUY!!

*breathe*

NOt...good...guy!!!!

Edit:
Alright, it's time to choose a Praetorian graduate and play through all of the post 20 Praetorian content.

Please don't start replacing Primal NPCs with Praetorian ones. It's bad enough we focused on Prae for two years. We don't need more spotlight on them :\

He'll go where the violence is.

1) As noted elsewhere, I wouldn't take the fact that they're standing in the "trainer" spot too literally.

2) I like the color combination on Aurora(?).

3) I predict lots more complaints from players about the Praetorian story "tainting" the i1 purity of fighting warehouse after warehouse full of Malta. Perhaps it's time for players to accept that Praetoria is the devs' version of a concept dear to all of geekdom, "don't trust The Man," and move on. (I'm getting tired of Praetoria myself, but I can understand why the devs seem so hung up on it. I'm convinced they thought, "Either we create Praetoria or we reboot the entire game story.")

/disagree.

Some of the Praetorians are just plain cooler. I'll take Marauder over Back Alley Brawler any day.

And they did say they had bigger plans for Back Alley brawler since he isn't going to handle the STF.

One potential interpretation would be them becoming trainers/contacts for "gray" alignments - like actually adding Rogue/Vigilante story arcs to both sides of the game.

Aurora and Pendragon are both allies of Primal Earth, and Marauder was soundly defeated during the attack on the Lambda facility. So I'm guessing no.

Also, there's the whole thing where we've been told that there are no new Incarnate powers or trials in I24

Loyal, not so sure. Gives into his violent tendencies, selfish, heartless? Indeed. Stick him in the Rogue Isles where he belongs.

Aurora's body was controlled by Mother, she seems not terrible after she is rescued, but we have very little info about her. She may not be switching sides by being a hero. Pendragon was also not a Cole supporter and seemed alright, if flawed.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.

It's more story arcs from Dr. Aeon staring in, "kill even MORE Signature Heroes!"

It doesn't matter who you think is cooler, though. This is Primal Earth, not Praetoria. We need to focus more on our down home characters instead of putting focus on characters that really have no part in our dimension and, in Marauder's case at least, have been our sworn enemies for two years.

I'm hoping it's just a hype picture, but with talk of revamping zones, I'm suspicious that Praetoria will find a way to leak into even more Primal zones.

Or maybe the addition of a fifth, actually grey alignment. True Neutral. Rogue is still villainish, vigilante is still heroic. I have several characters that I'd classify as True Neutral.

This is City of Heroes, not just Primal Earth. Praetoria just isn't going to go away and there's a rich collection of different characters and concepts ripe to be used.

And with Praetoria trashed and Cole's empire gutted, it was pretty inevitable survivors would end up on this side of the pond. Honestly I'm hoping one of the revamps deals with where to stick th refugees, maybe mix in some Praetorian low level mobs, like in Independence Port.

They should add a Fratricide badge for heroes. Cause the permanent death of X friendly signature heroes.

Maybe we rebuild Galaxy City and stick them there.

I'm pretty sure that the Syndicate would try and move in on the Family's Independence Port turf if they got the chance.
The Destroyers would be more likely just to be absorbed into the Freakshow.
Some of the Crusaders might head to the Rogue Isles to try and recapture that dictatprship fighting vibe their lives are now missing

Well, with all the talk of power usurpation in the Isles and the potential fallout from Nova Praetoria being nuked and Praetoria losing its main line of defense against P-Hami... maybe this is just a pose-down poster that lets us know that we'll have to deal with the fallout.

(Even Malta's getting a leg up with Praetorian help.)

It would be kind of crass just to leave 'all things Praetoria' in loose-ended shambles.
