Performance issues:
When I had to buy a new computer this year I did consider buying a mac. I decided to buy my current as I want to play games ( and in particular this game). I had read that the mac had some issue playing this game. Also it may be an issue with your computer that is causing the problems. I don't know.

Free, premium of VIP?
NcSoft is a business. They need to make money or they will go bankrupt. It is simple as that. When you were a player before you only had one option: sub and get almost everything to play. Or unsub and not be able to play anyhing at all. Due to whatever reasons you stopped playing and the business model changed in the meantime.

You can play this game absolutely for free, but you won't be able to use the IO system, Incarnates, controllers and masterminds and a lot of content. You can use previous gained tokens or money to get some of it back and become premium. Or you can become a sub like the old days and play most of the game. You will still have to buy some costume sets, and powersets if you want them, but you can use everything you did before at the exact same cost. Your choice. If you don't like those choices you have a fourth option: don't play the game it is entirely up to you.

All my controllers do well against trapdoor. it's melee in particular who have trouble with him.

I did the first ard arc on a blaster (BR/dev) en with no real problem (all on the same level though) and i used my staff/wp scrapper on the Night Ward without any serious problems (also on same level)

Has anyone who commented on this news item actually read the two earth2 comics? I have and I have enjoyed the story so far.

If I hadn't know comics beforehand or any of the previous history of this particular Green lantern, i would not have cared if he is gay or not. And just by reading a well written story Earth2 (in my very humble opinion) and some great art I actually do not care whether he's gay or not. So I base my opinion on the story i just read. (Just for your information: I had read issue one already before knowing Alan scott (or is it Scot Alan? me and names ) was being reintroduced as a gay character, and I must say they did a good job with this reintroduction.

Futhermore is it a nichemarket? I am gay and I know a number of gay friends who also enjoy comics. I don't read comics because there are gay characters in it, but if gay charcters are introduced in a good and believable manner I have no problem with it either.

The new 52 is supposed also to draw in a new crowd of readers, maybe this will help. More comicbookreaders is good for the industry in general, wheter they are gay or not! ;-)

EM is excellent for Stalker. I love my EM/EA stalker.

I read bleeding cold post and it seems highly speculative. Just wait and see. If done well i can accept any character te be gay. If done poorly i will have problems with it.

I did see the Avengers and loved it, going again at least once more this week and maybe one more time after and again maybe! well with made great humour, drama and action.

the way i see it is simple. NCsoft is a business, if you don't like the way they do their business quit the game. If you like the game but don't like the microtransactions. Don't buy the microtransactions. If you don't mind the microtransaction, but don't like all of it. Don't buy what you don't like. You as a consumer do have power over the price.

Really, if no one buys the leprechaun pet, prices will go down. It is how a market system works. That is the best way letting de marketing guys know that you don't like the price. (they might see it that you don't like the pet too though).

I liked the pet on beta. But then again it didn't cost me anything at all on beta. I agree with many on this thread. I don't like the pet enough to spend 800 points. I'd rather wait for Beast Mastery or Staff mastery to come out ( i kinda expected and hoped either one would have come out, it would have made more sense before de Double XP weekend). But then again that is their decision...

I always thought that evolution worked through adaptation to the natural environment via minor mutations. We evolved big brains, enabling us to adapt the natural environment to our needs.,Would evolution still function in an ordinary manner? Instead of becoming naturally immune to diseases we use medication etc. How will we adapt to technological advancemnet? Interesting questions indeed....

i loved X-men evolution, I enjoyed Wolverine and the x-men too, but i haven't seen them all

I do grow tired of the "Big" events, which shakes up the entire marvel universe, and later is changed again. Just write a good group book or solo series. I don't mind a big event every 5 or 10 years, but now there is one big event (for example Fear) and another smaller run alongside (Schism). It does look too much a marketing ploy to me (which it probably is).

I can imagine seeing the executive sitting in a room and saying things like: "Hmm, what could we do for a big event next year?"

Same goes with the constant deaths of characters. First Johnny Storm dies (conveniently without seeing a body) and now I do see advertisments with the fantastic four (with a human torch). For longtime readers it isn't exciting at all, in fact it makes me feel cheapened as well.

Just write a good story.... They were able to do that before....

I love EM on my solo EM/EA stalker, he is stuck a bit unloved at level 34 due to altitis issues of mine! But I can almost one shot minions wth three different attacks (one hiddden As, and transfer and ficus with build up up out of hidden). He works better solo though. I can imagine he doesn't do so well in large groups, but as a solo stalker Em is fine in my very humble opinion.

I like the concept of street justice and i find the combo's easier to use than the combo's of Dual Blades. I do have some issues with Kinetic Melee and electric melee for some reasons. Just cannot put my finger on the problem why that is. They just play a bit weak to me. Love Superstrength and dark. And martial arts improved with the latest change. I also like fire melee on my Fire tanker. Some powersets just work better with a certain Archetype i guess.

For me the interesting side is how does an ordinary person deal with superhuman powers. Spider-man is Spider-man because of his powers and sense of responsibility. What would he have become without the powers (most definately not Spider-man as that is tied to his powers), would he become a great scientists and invent stuff and use that to aide people. Would Uncle Ben have lived if Peter hadn't become Spider-man? (was there not a what if story about this???)

I don't mind a story where the hero loses his or her powers, but the journey of how to deal with powers is what makes most of those stories interesting to me. If told correctly of course.
