Fixed. Paragon City has got to be the worst city on Earth. The hospitals are the size of apartment complexes, there are no ramps anywhere within the city for the disabled, the fire department consists of one man with a hat and a few backpacks, the jail leaks prisoners like a piece of tissue paper under a waterfall. The list just goes on and on.

    Hats off.
Only a small handful of people actually complained about the blaster changes. Everyone else, aka the majority of the CoH population, eagerly waited for those changes. I24 was, like, a hugely anticipated issue mostly because of those changes. They didn't "destroy everyone's" concept of blasters, they only destroyed yours.

It's kind of a given for the market.
CoH was pretty awful when it came to the female model, yo. The lowest you could slide the chest slider for females is a C cup, and you have the ability to make them absolutely enormous. The waist is, by default, unnaturally tiny, and only near the largest setting does it look pretty normal. The female walk animation makes your character look like they're walking down a runway at all times, and the run animation isn't much better. And lets not forget that entire stretch of time where, in every new costume pack we got on the market, the men would get coats, vests, etc. while the women's only option were revealing corsets and collars.

This game was made by horndog men and it shows.

I call b.s. I would also like to remind everyone once again of all the other b.s. formerly spewed on these forums. Remember all the false rumors that have had to be debunked publicly by not only our own overworked mods but whole other development houses as well, who shouldn't have to interrupt their own business to do that. And it's all because some weirdos are so desperate for attention that they have to sink to this nonsense.

Honestly, the absurdity gets more extreme with every week that goes by. NC already said "fahgetaboutit, period, end of story." If they weren't going to hand the reins over to a then-still-together Paragon Studios at the peak of the SaveCoH campaign when they were taking the most damage, they're not going to get involved in any half-baked scheme with unknown underlings later.

Fansy should be banned, to be honest, as should the other false-rumor mongers. Take your entertainment from such a dufus if you will, but don't anybody believe a word of it.
    Calm down.

Why not let teaming stand on its own merits instead of browbeating the community into it. If it was fun people would be doing it. If you have to coerce people to do it a redesign might be in order.
Bam. I think that jumps back to my "Posi got more and more close-minded" bit upthread. That and he developed a serious Jack-esque attitude problem on the forums when anyone said something he didn't like. I remember he flipped his lid when people said gating the Ascension armor behind two ridiculous hoops, one being the level 50, was ******* stupid.

The second Rikti War, a massively significant event that brought so much to the game, was introduced and wrapped up in one issue. It included a solo path, an endgame TF, and a large raid which all rewarded you equally in their own ways. It's storyline answered many questions, raised a few more for future content, and overall had genuine meaning and intensity. It recycled and brought new life to a dead zone while also revamping a dated, awful looking enemy group into one of the most stylish groups in the whole game.

This should have been the standard for all content in the game. One issue per storyline. Maybe two issues for massive things like the Coming Storm. Not the six issues of Praetoria we got that introduced characters that had no meaning while completely ignoring ones that did, created entire new zones from scratch that became dead within weeks, answered questions no one asked, was filled with plot holes and inconsistencies, and overall lacked the quality and impact so much of the older content had in abundance.

Running two hours worth of the solo path I earned enough iXP to make 10% progress on my first two Incarnate powers. This was with difficulty settings set to +1/x4.

Running just one Underground Trial (which takes about an hour and a half) earned me the remaining 90% and even got me about 5% into the next two Incarnate Powers.

That was Matt "Positron" Miller's vision. The disparity between the two examples above is absolutely ridiculous, but the guy did not care one bit. He actually said he didn't even expect solo/small team players to want an endgame option and was completely surprised when players complained about the forced league content. Which is funny considering CoH has been giving small team/solo players regular content and quality of life improvements for 6 years. Hell, Praetoria is practically unplayable on a large team. And this has always been a draw for CoH; that, if you wanted, you almost always had the option to play it solo.

And this is just one problem of many with his end game Incarnate system and overall "vision".

You are right that pvp has ALWAYS been borked in CoH...which is why on my wishlist of a CoH2 ...pvp never exists.
Or, ya know, you could just avoid it and allow the people that enjoy PvP to enjoy it and see it actually be something fun.

I completely disagree with that. Sure, he may have been around the longest, but that doesn't mean he always made smart decisions. He actually became pretty close minded as the years went by. I really feel like a new CoH could easily survive without him, and maybe even do better with fresh blood. We could get an actual endgame that doesn't punish small team/solo players, or force the player to grind as badly as ours did. Not to mention implementing a better PvP system and getting a lead designer that's actually familiar with the lore.

    Hurricane Sandy

I live near Detroit and even we're getting harsh winds. All day it's been ridiculously and constantly windy. Nothing dangerous at all, though. We're probs getting small leftovers.
  15. Eh. Matt Miller wasn't CoH. I'm sure we could still get a good spiritual successor someday without him. Possibly one without the Incarnate path mess.

Agreed. They could've used someone that isn't such a massively important NPC within the game. If they wanted to stick with the Vanguard angle, make it Guassian. He's not obscure and is well established, but at the same time he isn't so important that he's the leader of the entire freakin' group. Especially considering he's the head of Vangaurd Intelligence and Tactics, it'd probably make the most sense for him to be the spy.
