I hope and pray that this is a success for you. Even if it means zero new additions to the game and it just stays in it's current state in perpetuity, I will pledge what I can to help you keep the servers running.

I'll pre-pledge $1,000 (at minimum) to a kickstarter if there's any hope you can pull it off.
I'm also extremely technical (working as a technical director for an ISP, published a book last year, former staff engineer at VMware, etc), and could pitch in a bit of time if you need anything. (Very good with servers, devops, and can code in several languages, including C, and have experience with threading and the server side of client server code.)
I will contribute money, time, clerical labor whatever can keep this alive.

Based on how I had budgeted for excessive CoH, I'd pitch in $1k.
Also willing to lend support financially. I'd be very sad to see the lights go out.
Might be worth setting something up away from the forums in case of... well... you never know...

TonyV, you truly are a Hero. I'm in. I am.....I think the technical term is "poor as *****", but I'm sure I could AT LEAST funnel the funds I'm currently giving to NCSoft into your project. If it works, WIN. If not, I'll count it as a good investment to some good people. I'll keep my eye out here.

I'm availabel to help in any way that I can - but I'm concerned that this is the now the 7th MMO that NCSoft have shut down rather than trying to sell on to another puiblisher, so there's a big question mark over them even being willing to listen to offers.

Even a thin thread of hope is better than no hope at all. I'm sure there are quite a few people who were maintaining VIP status that would be willing to channel the money that went into their VIP subscription into this project as well.
I can't think of any other MMO out there that I have tried playing, that I would enjoy enough to put all the work into it that I have with CoX. Tried the other superhero ones (don't know if I can get away with mentioning the names here), and found the one, based on a classic heroic RPG to be highly derivative of CoH (go figure, as the same people created each); while the other, based on a major comic book universe, just didn't have the right level of playability IMHO.
I've sunk 7 years into City, and would gladly spend 7 more fighting (or committing) crime in her time-honored streets (and caves, and sewers, and office buildings...)
Thanks for the light at the end of the tunnel. I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be an oncoming train...

My thought was Shark Tank. Maybe one of the Sharks would be willing to help invest in the idea. Maybe you can contact ABC about going on the show and talking to them.
I'm in, this game has too much life in it to let it go away too soon.
This is a good idea, Tony. If it gets off the ground, I can provide some financial support.

City of Heroes isn't go to die on November 30th - the servers will be shut down, but the commhnity and the IP will still be there.

Paragonwiki & Titan helped make this game for me.
I hope you can give us warning if you do shut off the wiki as well, I'd love to refer to ti for a while. I think I'll need to make my next P&P RPG city based.
And happy to help crowd source if it becomes an option.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
