Quote:To that end, my Sonic/Dark Defender used to have Group Fly specifically for that effect. Toggling on Group Fly causes all physics objects in the vicinity (up to a certain weight - Won't move boulders as far as I can remember) to launch skyward. As they go up and come back down to come into contact with the bubble again, they'll get launched skyward again. It's not just leaves that can be whipped around but also spent bullet casings, bits of rock and other debris generated by mobs and players. Look closely and you will see they have varying amounts of weight applied to them too, affecting how each piece of debris reacts to powers such as singularity or merely being pushed around by movement.
On the subject of physics objects, the gate right in front of where Aurora and Penny stand in Indy Port can be blasted off its hinges. Really, I can't go to either of them without toggling on Afterburner and ramming the gates headlong -
I would have contributed, but I work until 7PM EST and by the time I got home you guys had already overshot. Also, my phone is a piece of garbage that hates Kickstarter, anything with an Active-Update code, and apparently Paypal.
*sigh*
Next time, I'm springing for a much better phone. Also, next time set one of these donation drives up at a time when I can contribute -
I have quite a few, but this is the most recent one for me, and as such sticks out the most in my head.
M30 grenade is recharging
Cancelling M30 Grenade and preparing Burst
Your Burst rattles the Avatar of Hamidon for 36.4 points of Lethal Damage!
You have defeated the Avatar of Hamidon.
That, my friends, made my night -
Hmm... Admittedly, I still need to hit 50 on Belun and Kadsworth to have a 50 of every archetype... I'd have failed myself if I let the game go away after eight and a half years without at least achieving that.

Quote:Just for you. And anyone else who missed it. And anyone else who feels like reading it. Really, just for anyone.Did anyone catch what Zwill said after the rally? I missed it
...
Just read it D:<
[Admin] NCsoft_Zwillinger: So I hear I missed quite the crowd earlier.
[Admin] NCsoft_Zwillinger: Well, I'm extremely sorry I missed it and at the same time very humbled you all came out to show your support.
[Admin] NCsoft_Zwillinger: Thank you, all of you. You guys are all amazing.
[Admin] NCsoft_Zwillinger: No updates to give regarding the current state of things. But I can tell you this; You're all being heard, loud and clear. Front page on Kotaku is pretty big stuff!
[Admin] NCsoft_Zwillinger: http://kotaku.com/city-of-heroes/ in case you haven't seen it.
[Admin] NCsoft_Zwillinger: I want you all to remember, no matter what happens, no matter the result; You guys are an amazing Community and nothing, absolutely nothing can take that away from you. -
Admittedly, the story of my main (Kadmon) was originally no way related to the City Of story. He was adapted from my Ragnarok Online (yes, I know) character of the same name, a two-handed sword wielding Crusader. Because of this setup, the guy was practically unkillable in direct combat, and could heal himself (and others, but that's not really well-represented here in fighty-types
). Because he predated Titan Weapons, Willpower, two-handed animations on Katana, weapon customization, and at the time Invulnerability rooted you, I went with /Regen. He gained a rudimentary story (He was a knight during the middle ages who fought demons and got pulled forward in time because he was covered in the blood of a demon the Circle was trying to summon), which evolved as time went on to incorporate more and more things from the City lore, with my own personal touches on it.
Much of his story is modular, so he is easily transitioned into whatever setting I chooseThe added bonus that arises here is that many, MANY of my characters are in some way related to him (Prima Ombra is his counterpart from a dimension where Mu not only successfully overtook Oranbega, but became a tyrannical dictatorship over the world before vanishing, then resurfacing in the modern era), and also easily transition from one setting to another. The problems only really arise with some characters that are only really acquaintances of his (Max Kampfer, former 5th Column Nacht Fist; Grand Diviner, reformed Rikti Lineage of War Mentalist, etc.) who actually have some background in the story of the game. Sure, any Neo-Nazi group could give rise to a defector like Max, but only one game had the bug that inspired him (In issue 2, the boss Max in Citadel's TF would frequently spawn as the only enemy in his giant boss fight room. Against a team of eight heroes. I spun this into a story that carried the guy to level 50
)
All that said, I'm currently archiving the looks and stories of my characters, so that should the mood strike me in almost any other game, I can create something that is at least a reasonable facsimile.
Oh right, I did successfully recreate my Widow in CO (to a point), but other characters... Well, suffice it to say, I hate the way CO looks, and it is exceptionally difficult for me to get past that level of distaste. -
Yeah, I'm sure I'm in there, but I was wearing my brown cloak and hat today. So good luck finding that
-
The obvious solution would be Hug-lining them. Also, as tricksy as our devs can be, I don't think that this quite lines up with their sense of humor. Rampant emotional distress isn't really considered good customer service, after all.

I'm actually on the beta server right now. Who are the contacts for parts 4 and 5? Because they don't show on the list.
-
Added myself with satellite precision. Red marker because I forgot to pick a color
-
I've been logging on and grabbing screenshots of my characters' costumes since I got home from work. I'm going to organize them into folders so that I can retain the looks, should I end up in another superhero game someday (hint: at this point, unlikely). I suppose I could also include a text file with each one stating their power sets and basic concepts.

If you can get the rights, you can get my money. That would be worthwhile for me

Personally, I don't need the water gun, but I'd love to have some form of hoses as a shoulder option possibly extending down to my gloves for my Water/Energy Blaster. Now, I realize that this probably won't work, but it would look neat (aside from inevitable clipping
), and would help the concept a bit. See, my Water Blaster is Kurt Erif, the humanoid Fire Tru(c)k!
That said, outside of Fire Blast and Assault Rifle, Water Blast has been my favorite to this point, so, y'know, keep going back to whatever well of inspiration drew this one -
I popped on for a bit to check how many hero merits or Emp merits it takes to get the cheapest of the PVP IO recipes. It takes 25 Hero merits or 40 Empyrean Merits for that. So, for your proposed system to work, you could only gain 1 PVP point per day if you wanted this to remain balanced (At your proposed 60 value, which I imagine would have some deviation up and down based on the type of purple IO you are looking at).
Note: This is based on it taking, in general, two days to get a hero merit by running tips an doesn't take into account the SSAs, because I admittedly forgot about them and they only allow an extra one per total arc per week. -

Believe me, as someone who has dabbled in programming, I know how different the beasts can be. I don't think of this as Kitsune having shunned the entire Android-using community. I know full well that it would be... an undertaking, to say the least, to make this app dance for an Android device

Won't lie, this is a very cool thing that I've wanted as a desktop gadget for years, but iOS makes it quite literally useless to me. I use Windows and Android-based devices (even my MP3 player is a Samsung Galaxy 4) out of a general distaste for Apple. So, while I WOULD happily buy this, the problem arises that it won't work with any of my devices.

Quote:I actually had an idea that could work for this using the new pop up power bars. Remote Mine! You set it just like you did with original recipe Time Bomb, except as a toggle. While this toggle is active you gain the "Remote Detonation" power, whose animation would be a quick affair (type on your arm, ignore the fact that it is, in fact, just your shirt sleeve!) followed by a big badaboom! (My mind sees this as the explosion that occasionally accompanies Overwhelming Force: KD)Really quick wish list
Traps/Devices - Time Bomb... ugh - it's not designed to be used in a way that this game plays at all. It's all been said before. I think Hawk was looking at this one recently.
Also, if they made Instant Healing a toggle again, I would weep tears of joy. This is important, because my tears of joy are made of Paragon store points and kinda dampen my inhibitions about spending them on some of the... less useful items (looking at you, costume toggles!) -
I was catching up with on the Nerdbound podcast. Which episode escapes me at the moment, but it wasn't really appropriate (nor is their humor! Zing!) for the situation
-
The team size means little to me, but does the level cap on it absolutely HAVE to be 29? Makes my /Thermal a little sad to go in knowing full well I have zero debuffs available to me.
-
I grabbed a radio mission on one of my Scrappers back in I15. It was originally Council. Since then, it has been, in order - Popups, Minions of Igneus, Rularuu, and finally Shadow Shard Reflections. I've heard of someone getting Siren's Call Phantoms in theirs once, but that was quite a long time ago.

I don't claim to be an expert, but wouldn't using a typewriter barrage the screen with the metal ink-covered arms every time you tried to type something? I admit it's been a very long time since I used a typewriter (freaking school science project requiring everything in type at a time when my actual printer had just corked it)

Quote:Dual Titan Blade Freak Tanks! DOUBLE ARC OF DESTRUCTION!Longbow: Add some power armor Lts & bosses and some Beam Rifle Lts.
Clockwork Freaks; Freaks who've grafted Clockwork parts to themselves, and who occasionally have the Clockwork parts act independently. "I can't stop zapping things - this is SO COOL!"
Titan Freaks; Hugely oversized, heavily armed Tank Freak variants.
HoloFreaks; Freak bosses with implanted special effects equipment, they have Illusion Control powers.
The Vahzilok need a GM; some huge Abomination with grafted on weapons and spare limbs sticking out here and there.
Rularruu needs Intrusions; the sky turns colors, and holes open in the air out of which extend Lusca-sized tentacles covered in eyes and mouths that attack anything nearby. This should be an occasional event near Portal Corp.
Vanguard needs Vanguard Destroyers; huge flying vessels reverse engineered from Rikti Dropships, they show up at the tail end of various invasion events to chase the enemy off.
Zombies need Zombie Heroes; undead heroes that have random powersets, like the Flawed Clone from the villainside Ajax arc.
*ahem*
I think the Vanguard needs, for outdoor missions, some manner of tank. I know, they have the HVAS, and it's a good unit to have, but we see Vanguard tanks trundling through the war zone and never actually stopping to do anything productive. I say, they need a retrofit with the latest in hovertech, allowing them to be used as mobile units that can strafe and jump, as well as turn on a dime. Of course, they would only show up in outdoor missions, like Defend the Base (1 AND 2), and maybe as a support fire unit during the Investigate Nemesis Base mission.
Hell, they could be optional artillery support in an SSA or something.
Really, almost every paramilitary group should have some manner of tank. It revolutionized the battlefield, after all.
Ooh! Also - Council/5th Column Saboteurs. They set mines primarily, and use SMGs as their secondary Self Defense weapon. If you want to be REALLY nasty, you could also do a Malta Sapminer - A guy with a Sap Pistol (less effective than the rifle model), but his main weapon are mines that do the AoE sap effect, as well as standard HE mines and Incendiary mines.
