  6. Just throwing my 2 cents in here but I went Resilience on mine. It allows me to single slot both Temporary Invulnerability and Tough with Aegis Resist/Endurance and still be hardcapped to S/L, so I can use the slots elsewhere. With this, the other resists, the Tanker ATO set and softcapped defense, he's ... very hard to take down. I also included the Shield Wall, Gladiator's Armor, and Steadfast uniques. Pricey, but nice.

    For endurance concerns I went with Conserve Power and Physical Perfection, 2 performance shifter procs, Miracle, the Panacea Proc, and the Numi proc. I still have to click a blue once in a while, but man it's hard to take this sucker down. I went to Monster Island and got as close to the aggro cap as I could herding GM's. All I have to due is set Foot Stomp to autoclick for those annoying swarms and I'm good to go.

    EDIT: Eh, scratch that part about taking a nap herding GM's; that was an earlier build on Beta with the ATO set slotted in Foot Stomp and not working as intended. I can still herd them just fine but I need to click another power here and there. Wuss. ;-) I also went ahead and ran with T4 Cardiac. Very nice indeed. It's no longer hardcapped to S/L but that changes quickly once the ATO proc (now slotted in Haymaker) fires off. Switching out the Aegis Resist/End for a single Resist IO in TI and Tough may well cap me without it though.
  7. Is it worth it to slot for defense on a SS/INV brute or an INV/SS Tank? The tank is currently softcaped in PVE and the brute is softcapped to S/L.

    With DR I realize the defense will be gutted so I plan on reducing the focus on defense significantly.

Early into the release of PVP IO's, I bought one of nearly all of them, and I've been sitting on them ever since, waiting in vain for MIDS to incorporate DR before actually slotting them into a build. But since it doesn't look like MIDS will be incorporating DR any time soon, I've been thinking of selling them off for a cool profit. But I'd really like to get into zone PVP with either my SS/Inv brute or my Inv/SS Tanker. So are PVP IO's actually worth slotting in these builds? Are there any "must-haves"?
  9. I think the suggestions for increasing the aggro cap might fit nicely into a new Incarnate ability. Too bad the ATO's are already pretty set in stone, or a "Chance to increase the aggro cap" proc would be pretty cool too.
  10. I took Unstoppable as mainly an ego thing. I mean how cool is it to be softcapped defensively AND hardcapped to resists? :-)

    But yeah, it's almost never needed.
  11. It'll be interesting to see how survivable Might of the Tanker will make a softcapped tank, particularly with Resilience thrown in. I might even be able to work in perma Dull Pain with enough tweaking, and then there's the occasional click of Unstoppable ...

    If they'd get with it and change the KB to KD already, I'd use it as a fun, thematic panic button. But as it stands, the scattered mobs become too much of a drawback.

  15. How about the fastest killer for soloing hero alignment missions? Assuming even level mobs set to a single player team size. I'd assume burst damage is king here.
  16. I've got a 50 Inv/SS tank I'd love to spec for maximum survivability, going first for smashing/lethal resists then getting as high a defense as possible. Sample mids' builds would be helpful. Price is no object, so add all the purples and pvp io's your heart desires! The only limitation is he's strictly heroic, so no Patron Powers please.
  17. Budget is effectivly unlimited, including pvp io's. But that's a good start.
  18. Fighting everything (a good balance) would be ideal. So Taunt for sure for the -range. Maybe Black Scorpion's aoe web nade power, although it requires a weapon draw.

    Is there a reliable source for Web Grenades other than Siren's call? The odds of getting one to drop during mayhem missions are pretty slim. I don't think any of the new craftable temp powers fit the bill. And the arena version is just for arena.

  21. I've got a 50 one I'd love to respec into a decent PVP toon. I've heard SS and WP are among the more desirable powersets, but I'm largely new to post-DR PVP.
  22. That's a heck of a build, and without purples to boot. I'd love to squeeze in Hasten, but it's hard to remove any of the powers at this point.
