SS Hand Clap
No, not really. I can only think that /SR would benefit from Hand Clap, but it's still a pain to knock mobs away from you. It's a really useless power on a Brute, IMO. On a non-self-affecting-aura Tanker? Great! But if your armor needs enemies to boost a certain stat, then no, skip it.

I was thinking the same thing about SR maybe being the only one to benefit. Hmmm, i haven't run an SR before. + I am gonna have to really think how to justify SS on a SR. Maybe a freaky defense robot thing? I'll keep at it lol.
You can justify any concept. My SS/SR brutes concept is that he is a kinetic thief. His kinetic dampening field around him slows down all attacks enabling him to dodge most attacks quite easily, (SR) and then he can redirect it which amplifies his attacks. (SS)
EASY.
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-

I have it on a WP tank. I use it as a set mule for a Taunt set, and as an occasional panic button. It also looks cool to bat away a crowd of bad guys.
Is it great or optimal? No. Could I live with out it? Yes. Does it sometimes help out? Yes. Does it look cool? Yes. Is there some other power I'd take instead if I got rid of it? No, not really.
I use it on my SS/WP mainly for fun but also for giving me a breather occasionally. If I pull two mobs or they get some lucky hits in, I can sometimes find myself taking damage faster than I can regenerate it with Rise to the Challenge. Hitting Hand Clap can give me a few moments to pop a green or get away.
I class it as a fun power and it does feel fun to blast all those foes away from you but on a tight build I'd drop it.

Nobody takes it, do they? Any secondaries that Hand Clap benefits? Cause Invulnerability and Willpower are not gonna be assisted by knocking mobs away.

All secondaries can benefits from Handclap. You just have to know how and when to use it.

It's going back on my SS Brutes once i19 hits. It's handy from time to time, but I usually have something that makes more sense for me at any given level.
If they'd get with it and change the KB to KD already, I'd use it as a fun, thematic panic button. But as it stands, the scattered mobs become too much of a drawback.

Reminds me why I deleted a Kinetic Melee Brute I did til lev 14 in Praetoria once.
Got annoyed like a **** that it seemed like I was knockin adversaries AWAY instead of down... oh well.

I'd put up with the KB if it did damage like BABs' version. Though I agree it would be great if they'd just change it to KD.
Another option I'd love to see is a special IO implemented. "Pull Your Punch", -90% to knockback. I'd so slot that on a number of powers. I'm looking at you (Dominator) Thunder Strike.
Edit: Figured I ought to specify which Thunder Strike I meant considering the board I'm on.
One of the consol videogames from marvel had a handclap for colossus that was awesome. It not only did a ton of damage in a huge arc, it tore down building walls. Now that was a effing handclap. I doubt we will ever see more than this extremely thin shadow here. If it did minor damage even, it would be nice. Maybe have it do a ton of damage (heavy?) but have the recharge be in siberia? All nice thoughts, but I think we are stuck with it the way it is. After leveling a Brute and a Scrap Kinetic Combat to 20, I got re-motivated to level a Nrg/Nrg Blaster. I have run these solo before, and generally do not team with them because of KB. But now I am learning exactly how to use their KB mitigation. At the end of a very long TF, I finally got to use my Blasters Wide Arc/Short Range/KB power to move all the mobs from the door to the center of the room. Worked like a charm. Less important for a Tank/Brute/Scrapper mebbe (I really needed to get a ton of people off me asap) but still has it's uses in teams. And again, I think I hit that power 3 timesthe entire TF, cause the downside for the blaster is aggroing that entire group, so its a finishing move on mobs that are already dieing only for him.
Nobody takes it, do they? 50% of my higher level brutes, and over 50% of my 50 Brutes, have SS as their primary. i took it on one build once, dropped it. I was looking at the worst Brute thread, and started thinking, I should roll up a SS with the concept of leaning on Hand Clap. Any thoughts out there? Any secondaries that Hand Clap benefits? Cause Invulnerability and Willpower are not gonna be assisted by knocking mobs away.
