Well, Tony. With me having grown up with City of Heroes (started playing when I was 12...I'm 20 now.), I definately don't want to see this game go. I may be a college student with not a lot of cash, but I will definately pledge whatever I possibly can in order to help you guys get this going. I wish you luck if you do get into talks with NCSoft, and hopefully things go well of Paragon City!

I am not huge on forums anywhere (I preferred to either lurk, or else play with friends from RL). However, I'll be signing up and keeping tabs on how things go. I played this since beta and I want my 130 toons to live on. I haven't got money to spare, but I can chip in professionally (not a techie, tho).

So long as the titan network remains, in some fashion, and I can see what's happening (because the forums will shut down eventually) I'm in for whatever it takes to keep this afloat. Be it stand-alone costume and base editors, or the entire game itself.

I have been hooked on this game since 04 and I was stunned by the news today, yes, stunned (I am a superhero geek...). I would be willing to buy three years of membership for three accounts to help with the start of this, plus I am willing to throw in some of my own funds to provide assistance. Thanks for giving us geeks a bit of hope!

Wonder if it would be able to work as a cooperative with a few staff members. There have been efforts around the world at times of crisis to buy off "creative destruction assets" and keep them intact by communities. I've never heard of one within gaming. But there are models business-wise for what you are toying with here...

I'll say this: While I'm not overly optimistic about the effort (just thinking about all the intangibles ncsoft is planning to write off by doing this...), this is by far, the singular most passionate and united community I've ever seen in a video game. If anyone can pull off something like this, it's the CoH fans.

I've seen it done before where the players basically bought the IP/software/servers from the parent company and have kept it alive.

14 years later it's still around (I checked like 2 months ago - it's still alive.)
