Would you use Paragon Points to buy Epic/Power Pool customization?
This is the sort of thing that really should be part of the package, but it's pretty clear that it'll never be done that way, and under the current marketing system, if we see it at all, it'll be for a sizable extra fee.
And because I'm a sucker, I'd probably pay it, yeah.
First, let me say that I think this should be something that is free for VIPs, purchasable for everyone else. That said, if the situation is such that it will not receive attention unless they release it as purchasable for ALL, then yes, I would pay for it.
I believe in funding worthwhile investments. "Global power customization" is a worthwhile investment of both time and money (as opposed to, say, the Leprechaun). Powers are a huge part of a character's definition, so this really needs to happen.
Considering the tech already seems to be in place (see: how the Judgement and Destiny customization menus do not appear until you have unlocked the slots), I would not be willing to pay more than 800 points for this, with a guarantee that any further customization options released to said Pools/APPs be automatically tagged on for those who have purchased the customization option.
@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.
I am a blaster first, and an alt-oholic second.

But I'd potentially pay more than 800 pp, if the options given were sufficiently awesome.
I honestly don't think we should have to... but if that's the only way we're ever going to get it? (And I tend to agree that at this point it probably is-) Then, yeah. I would.
How MUCH I would pay would depend entirely on how they did it... I wouldn't give them more than 100 or so if they sold it "per pool". I'd probably give them a lot more if they made it across-the-board.
@Brightfires - @Talisander
That chick what plays the bird-things...
Part of me wonders if they'd have thought of this on their own had we not brought it up... Either way, they've definitely got the idea now.
I'd pay upwards of 1600 pts to permanently get rid of Hastenhands.
I'd pay it, but I'd think it was a crappy thing for them to charge for.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
Nope. Don't want to encourage the "nickle-n-dime" mentality it anymore than has already been done. customization has been free so far, no need to start charging for it in the future.

I think it should be free, because to me it's just finishing what they started with the primary/secondary customization. Which, by the way, is probably keeping me in the game; I started losing interest, but when that came out, characters felt much more like they were something I had invested in and created, rather than "my powerset/otherpowerset guy".
That said, yeah, I'd pay for it. I'd pay for it even if they did an overt cash grab, such as announcing you can buy it now for many points or wait six months and then get it free. I'd buy it the instant it became available, because powersets and costumes are what make the game for me, and costuming powersets is a big part of that. In the end, I care a lot more about that than I do about how they finance getting it done. I just want it done.

However, if Epic & Patron powerset customizations were included (and they really SHOULD be), I'd definitely be too impatient to wait 6 months.

If it was the only way I could get it, I'd pay 1000 pp (or more) right now if the only thing I could do with it is the removing of the Hasten Hands-on-Fire effect - I hate it that much...
But really, all of this should be free for VIPs
Figured this was a question worth asking/discussing. I think its a thing that is pretty much wanted across the board, but it's becoming painfully obvious at this point that if it's not something that can't be gated behind being a VIP or cost PPs, and isn't a game balance issue, it's not going to get dev time at this point.
I guess personally, it'd depend on the price. I was pretty annoyed with the fact the Super Tailor came bundled in an add-on pack purchase, and even with the Freedom Launch, think it's still overpriced and have not purchased it yet. So the question is, would you pay? And if so, how much is the cut off point? I'd be annoyed if pool customization came with a price tag attached, but Id honestly cough up points for it, as it's something more useful in the long run than the super tailor. My concern is it would probably wind up being segmented out into smaller portions with a bulk discount. I'd honestly probably pay 10 dollars/800 points max as a "day one purchase". No I don't think I would. Issue 16 was never finished... It should be atleast given to subscribers for free and let the non vip pay a fee for it.
Friends don't let friends buy an ncsoft controlled project.
I'll add my voice to "It should be free, but hell yes I would pay."
If selling it in the market would make it happen, I'd pay in a heartbeat and I even agree with the prices a few people have set out.
Call it Power Spectrum 2.0 and sell it as two packs:
-Power Spectrum 2.0 - Ancillary Pool Customization 800 points
-Power Spectrum 2.0 - Epic Pool Customization 800 points
...profit. Its been six issues now since we first got Power Customization. I assumed they had delayed APP and EPP customization for one, at most 2 issues and now it seems by recent comments its been backburnered. This is a real shame, I think the devs underestimate how badly a lot of players want this.
So absolutely, if putting this on the market would make it happen, make it freaking happen.

Color, animations, alternate animations, these would be good if I could change them. Already you can change mace options in scorpions pool. It would be nice to go completely haywire with options for the rest.

I'd like to think I would. Still, considering how much they think a leprechaun is worth I'd be worried that by the time it was completed they'd start charging us 20+ dollars for it.

I would pay 800 for the lep, IF IT COULDN'T BE KILLED. It is TOTALLY useless dead.

I feel it should be part of the game at no cost but if it meant getting it now and not waiting more months/years I'd gladly pay.

I'd also like to say if this is an issue of a sloppy looking UI, such as giving a person the option to customize all pools, even pools they won't be using, DO IT ANYWAY.
Incarnate Customization UI is a cluster%^$ of massive proportions, its giant, confusing power lists are hard to navigate and just plain terrible but I'd rather have that 1000x over than not being able to customize my Incarnate abilities.
So if part of the reason we haven't got APP/EPP customization yet is not being able to work out a good UI, release whatever dog turd of a UI you can do now then refine it later, we don't care, we just want it to happen.

No.
This would be the sort of thing that would make me leave again, and warn others against getting involved with the game.
It would be like a dealership selling you a car, then charging you an extra $3000 for the steering wheel, rear window and one of the wheels (rim, tire and all.) The work itself isn't finished, IMHO. It's something that nobody should have to pay for.
The ONLY customization I'd pay for - and probably gripe to some extent about - would be if the base system were in there (with the most-requested options, as well, like disabling the hasten effect) already, and they were charging for some over-and-above extra fluff customizations.
