What he said. Ive been absolutely stomped by white and bluedots, and squished yellow dots. It all comes down to synergy and good equipment combination.

Yes, chat in coh refugees, and you will likely get near instant turnaround on some help. I run with people all maxed out on ql10 equipment, but I am still in BM, with a few mishs left in SC, running on ql6 blues and a ql8 weapon (I need a second ql8 weapon :/).

We had a call last night in chan for some help doing cat god. I jumped in right away, even though the broke nature of the stupid quest meant I got no reward or experience. It looks like this will be retroactively applied to our accounts if we finished it though, I think....

In any case, we are more than willing to help and assist!

Reposted from page 4. The below autojoins you to channels, whereas /chat join only does it when you first use it, and it does not carry over when you zone.
    --------------------------------------

Here is how to do it very specifically, so you don't have to do anything at all....

    ----
Or you could write a couple of scripts that keep you in your custom channels.

    1) Go to your Program Files>Funcom>The Secret World>Scripts folder.
    2) Create two files called auto_login and auto_teleport in notepad.
    3) Enter your channel commands to each like so:

    /delay 5000
    /chat join CoH-OOC
    /chat join CoH-IC
    /chat join CoH-Refugees
    /chat join JustMyFriendsChannel
    ----

The scripts directory is case sensitive and must be Scripts. You will have to create it. Obviously customize it.... but will definitely always have CoH-Refugees (lowercase o).

    Cripes.

    (It's great!)
Here too, _except for that bloody dead air morse code_. I will NEVER do a morse code without looking up the actual morse on the website. I simply can not listen to and figure out what . and - combo im listening too. :|

I did however look all the morse code up by hand once i had the encoded . - bits.
  6. I picked illuminati just because some other coh types I met in game did. If Dragon is nemesis, I totally picked the wrong group.
  7. You know whats rough? I really like some aspects of TSW, but god, the community just is NOWHERE near as nice as the CoH community. Absolutely rubbish in comparision. Everytime I play, I lament the continual loss of the community here, because nothing is as nice.

The only hope I see for us at another game is to try and salvage our community somewhere and hook up with the people who understand us, because out there are a lot of unfriendlies....

I hope something good happens of all this.

It may not be home like my COH supergroup coalition, and it's certainly more lonely, but all of my interaction with the playerbase so far has been positive.

Also, I want to establish a cabal. Any suggestions for a name for our cabal? Might as well all noob together.
  9. The general ingame community kind of sucks.....

I joined the CoH-Refugees channel (/chat join CoH-Refugees) and will live there indefinitely. I suggest others interested in keeping touch might find it easier too.
  10. hew2 on daemon. Hope to run into some people!

    Also on CoH-Refugees channel there.
  11. $200 for lifetime sub, and probably 100$ worth of points.
  12. My nick is hew2 (damn someone for getting hew). I split my time roughly between both games, and am very keen on getting in touch with regular coh players to game with there.

But! The contact told me to go talk to Lord Recluse himself, so that I could tell him about how I kicked his butt in the future. That conversation triggered the end of the arc, which gave me the story completion XP bonus, which gave me a very satisfying DING.

Might be the best timing I've had for a level. Certainly for hitting 50.
On that note, my first ever 50 dinged 50 at the end of my first ever hami fight.
  14. This is not something I want shut down. I had a lot of friends who vanished like smoke from the game post-announcement.

My two biggest issues are how the PS issue was handled, and the abject lack of communication between NCSoft and PS (and very likely NCSoft NC).

I love the game. I play on victory and have a blast, with groups between 2-8. Farm, no farm, who cares. It is about having fun, and for me, communicating and bonding with others. Nowhere else will you have the breadth of friendships form than in this game. Ages 10-70 (not joking), lawyers to grade school students, you never know who you might make friends with. And the community is just night and day when compared to other communities as far as generosity and maturity.

    It seems that:

'Position: NorCal Studio General Manager/City of Franchise Executive Producer '

is still in communications and negotiations with NCSoft regarding our plight. Reference taken from comment at cohtitan and reposted here. Someone may have beaten me to the punch, but as of 1 hour ago when I initially tried to open this new thread, there was none here.

  20. Back to back MLTF and LRSF. Since I am a rogue, this works, and I want to do them both on the same char.

I am not sure I have ever done LRSF.....
  21. Wait, so, should I bring my namesake? i.e. the one from my pre-launch days that has the same name as my global?

I kind of like the look of some of my others, but she is 100% all original old-parts.
  22. elec/psi or elec/fire are both fantastic solo doms.
