If you want ease then a Mind/Fire is probably a good bet. If you just want fun or crazy times, throw together any combination - most work well.
Can always go Electrc/Fire. Would be really safe, and Fire makes up for Electric's lack of damage.
I already have a mind/fire at 50. Would he have the best single target damage? or would i do better with something /elec?
My most soloable Dom has been my plant/thorn, though a plant/fire would probably have better damage. Getting an AoE (cone) confuse at level 8 (iirc) goes a long way to making it a safe ride.

If I were making a new dom for a last run, it would be elec/earth/??? Big stable sleep patch and big hammers of doom. Knockdown, sap, smash. Damn I wish there was more time 
I was thinking plant/elec, assuming /elec is the best for blapping (better than /energy?). Or maybe I should just continue along with my plant/psi who's already at lvl 25 or so.
I found Elec Assault to be fairly "underwhelming" when I tried it upon its release. In fact, I found it the most underwhelming of all the Dom assault sets. If you're intent on solo'ing, Energy Assault is a really good bet. The melee attacks hit hella hard, have a chance to stun (that gets boosted by domination), the ranged attacks are decent and have a chance to kb (great place to slot the chance for +recharge IO proc) and you get Power Boost which can be looked at in two distinct ways. 1). It's ovverkill with domination and 2). Overkill is great in it's own right.

My favorite "lolmoment" with my plant/thorn was getting ambushed by Tsoo in a cave. A couple of Sorcerers and about 4 roflninja charge, and of course meet a faceful of seeds. Instantly, the Sorcs tp away... and the warriors run off to go look for them.
By the time they came back, I was long gone.
