Did they turn on another event? In my old age, I fuzzily remember comments that only one event can be run at a time. Is Double-XP coded as an event?

Why turn it off? That seems weird.

Can Dxp work the same time as another event? I want to believe that it shutting down may be a good sign, but the realist in me wonders if maybe it needed to shut down for the next event to start.
Thanks to everyone that helped make me a welcomed part of the community, and for giving me over 3 years of some of the best gaming I've been able to take part in. May the next game bring many friendships and maybe reconnect to some old CoH friends.
It's only run for a weekend at a time before. Is it possible it's coded to only run for short blocks of time?

They mentioned in coffee talk that there is still a team from their US technical team keeping the servers up otherwise they would grind to a halt.
Frankie says it best.
Anyone test it to see if it was shut off? Is your patrol xp getting pushed forward? etc
