Statesman's death was a very sad event for me, unlike many others. I Created a tribute costume in honor of his memory. He was, and always will be the symbol for this wonderful game.

I'm with you on that, Father. I used the tilde key programmed to 'target nearest enemy' a lot...and I tried a game controller a couple of times. It was so awkward for me.

I would give him the gift of sight...to feel in his heart how deeply loved this game is to the community, and ALL of the reasons why....I'd give him a truly deep sense of loss.

does that include MASKING your feelings?

I would just say that your clever wit and sparkling personality was too much awesome for the mods to bear..

I feel sorry for the poor guy who guards the Faultline manhole... he continues to have 'that sinking feeling'

---Scrappers---
A Scrapper is a whole lot like a chainsaw. Somewhat hard to handle, incredibly dangerous, and most fun when wielded by the slightly insane.

Running a scrapper is similar to fuelling up a lawn mower with nitro-methane, and then aiming it at the bad guys.


Every scrapper should have an army trying to kill him, it's the only way the scrapper might have a chance to die.


Scrappers do not view "Run!" as an imperative. They view it as a notification that they are now fighting alone.

I tried the new ones too, but they caused a few probs so I rolled back to the previous one.
You might want to try uninstalling the drivers (have the drivers that worked for you ready on your desktop). Restart your puter into safe mode and use a program called Driver Sweeper (it's free) to remove all traces of the old driver.

Restart again and install the drivers from your desktop. If that doesn't work it might mean your card is starting to fail...artifacts in your games are always a good indication. Good luck Grey, and I hope this works for you!

Hyper, thanks for helping feed my inquiring mind, and thank you for all the help you've given us all for so long....I have used your suggestions so often. Oh, and I am not ticking that box LOL.

As far as my original launcher problem, I'd like to pass this along just for gps'. I had upgraded my setpoint drivers (Logitech gaming mouse) to the latest 6.51. Every so often I'd get an error message and I had to re-apply my mouse settings. So, I rolled back to the 6.32 version that never gave me any problems. Afterwards I was finally able to open my launcher. Don't know if that was the fix, or if the fresh download finally kicked in.

update....
I was getting the error when I hit the launcher icon. BUT, now it is working fine. I have no idea why, but maybe one of the actions I took corrected the problem. I went into settings and saw this....does anyone know what it does?

I hope someone can help me. All of a sudden, the laucher 'encounters an error ' and will not launch. I uninstalled it, then did a fresh install...no luck. Is there a way to bypass it and just go right to the game the old way...perhaps an addition to the command line? I wanted to go play with one of my lowbies but don't know what to do. This is the biggest problem I ever had in the game. Any suggestions? I want to be there when the lights go out.
