Sneak Peek at retro SciFi

Set is looking rather awesome I cannot wait to get my hands on them in Beta and see what new designs I can come up with for my characters.

So far the set looks incredible. i really like how it's turning out, especially the awesomely retro headgear. Can't wait to see the weapons and other set pieces turn out. The helmet's exactly what i imagined, perhaps even better. Excellent.

The only very minor complaint i have is that the rocket packs look slightly too large to me. Although that's probably more to do with what i was expecting, since i can think of a number of concepts where the size works quite well. Depending on the thruster effects it might have a bit of a butt burner feel when in flight.

Great work so far I hope the arm rings will get a little more detail to them

1. Wow. Great work!

2. Yeah, the first rocket pack does seem a bit big.

3. I know the helmet is Detail 2... but could it be possible to put a bubble helmet clone *also* in Detail 1? That way, we have more of a choice of what to accessorize with the helmet: Helmet with eyewear or helmet with beards then becomes possible.

4. Could the men get a sleeveless shirt to go with the pants so that they have a civilian look, too? I'm thinking along the lines of what would be a sleeveless V-neck undershirt that would get worn under the spacesuit. Something like this...

5. Could the trim on the female V-Neck (and the male's if that ever comes about) be double banded which was very common in the 50s as seen on tennis V-neck sweaters? E.g....

Thanks!

Could we have a variation on the second one? Kinda like this quick and dirty hack job?

I can make adjustments to the Back packs once they are final in textures, again most is WIP. The concept has them that big but since most think they are too big I can make them smaller.

Zombie Man: The set has already been scheduled out and all pieces are built so there will not be anymore new pieces, Sorry.

VoodooGirl: The rings are just that, rings, what details are you thinking of?

I agree with this.

Dink, thank you so much! This (and everything else you've been doing) rocks. Spiffy! Swell! Neato! Keen!

I will be buying this as soon as it goes live.

I'm not sure, but I think NCsoft Seattle might have heard me squealing all the way from up north here.

Is it possible to have small and large versions of the backpacks (different scale but otherwise identical)? I like them big personally...

Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.

The single-cylinder pack is maybe a little big, but the two-cylinder backpack looks just right to me. And yes, it would be nice if they came in "small" and "large" versions, although I've no idea how much or how little work that would take.

Well, congrats, you sold me on this one. Looks awesome!

I don't think the single rocket is too large. Rather, I think it's too high up which makes the whole thing look oddly off center. I wonder if there's some way we could get a screenshot with it lower on the body though I certainly understand if you can't.

While the whole bubble isn't available for the animal heads for reasons you explained, would it be feasible for them just to get the neckpiece as some form of modified collar?

Considering the Shoulder rings naturally float off the body, is there any way we could also get a bare handed variant of the rings for the gloves?

These are my thoughts, as well. Other than that they are more than amazing, they are stellar!

(I'd say I'm sorry for the accidental pun, but I'm not.)

I've wanted something like this since the game launched, so thank you, thank you, thank you!

I'll throw in a vote for 'backpacks too big'. Otherwise this is looking great. Are the glowing accordian pieces for the shoulders finalized, though? They look oddly untextured at the moment (shiny, though!)

I haven't seen it, and maybe I missed it (if I did, I apologize) Will the rings on the boots/gloves be available for the guys, too? Please please please say yes!

I have made plenty of choices for you to choose from and hopefully the pics will show that. The main costume is shiny fabric but I also made it to where you can pick the standard version that will go with all the other costume pieces. There are glowing and non glowing pieces that you can choose from.

I hope you will like it thus far and this is one of the funnest packs I have worked on ^_^

1. First up is the Male (yes this will be ported over to Female) and the bubble helm is working as it is a Detail 2 under Standard so you can pick whatever hairstyle, face or glasses you like.

2. One of the back details

3. The other back detail.

4. The female outfit. The hats, belts and Shoulders will be ported to Male and Huge.

5. Please take note the gloves are the Standard version and not the glow version.

6. This is to show a couple of the standard pieces and how they match the other pieces in the creator. There is also a version of the skirt without the bands/rings.

I really do hope you like it so far and I do hope we are going in the right direction.

Thank you for your help and support ^_^

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

These look GREAT! I'm so looking forward to this set and it looks fantastic AND you've been adding even more pieces and really great, smart options!!!!

Thank you so much for the sneak peak!! I know it's always a little worrisome to share WIP of your stuff (especially to such a large... vocal... audience), but these kick retro-scifi-space butt!!!!!

Awesome job, Dink!!

Oh, oh... I wondered if there was any way at all to possibly make a Bubble Helmet with a covering inside over the bottom half of the face... that way characters who may have beards (or whatever else they may usually have as a signature piece from Detail 2) might be able to get away with wearing these! I completely understand if it can't happen, but I just wanted to get the idea out there.

I think both rocket packs are awesome, but a tad large. Particularly the single engine one THe double is just slightly to big, but the single seems to be riding high and la bit big.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.

The first thing that came to mind when seeing the single big rocket back pack is that it's going to toast my tush once it flames on. It's too high up.

Also, is it attached (absolute) vertically or slightly angled to keep the exhaust clear of the tush?

Most of these features are unfinished and are considered work in progress. Dink and the team wanted to share our progress with the Community since you have all played such an important part in the development of this set.
