LotG Market: Who bought the set and who bought the proc?

At first, I wasnt going to purchase any of these IO's as I have a few in storage in my base but the more I thought about it the more I was convinced they were a great deal since you can slot them early on and receive the bonus throughout. However, looking at the sets I realized I rarely use full sets so I decided to just go with the +recharge.

Just wondering what the rest of you did and how well these sold? Personally, I think they made a killing this weekend on selling at least the +recharge.

What about all of you?

Sadly i can never be one of those players that use the paragon store for items i can gain freely at will [such as enhancements].

Only thing i used my points on was 5 charges of the windfall.

I bought 3 7.5% IOs and 2 Rech/End IOs. I've got a Traps Mastermind approaching level 50 and is going to need a lot of IOs, so I'm taking advantage of the sale and grabbing the ones I'll need. That's 5 fewer IOs I have to run tips or play the auction house for.

I should probably check a couple character concepts I have running right now and see if I could use more of them. I've been sitting on a whopping great stash of points and these are a good reason to use them.

Bought ten of the 7.5s. Seriously thinking about buying more.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

I bought the recharge one, but only one of it.

I would have bought more, but I'm still waiting on my points for this month, which are now a week late...

...bet they'll come in right after the sale ends.

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

Rough estimate is 62 LotG Procs, with almost that number of Defense and Defense/Endurance IOs, with a handful of others of the set sprinkled in. It would take a bit of time to work out exactly how many, but I'll be able to give an accurate count tomorrow.

Bought 5 of the LotG +RCH, thinking about 5 more. Don't have a plan to IO out a character fully this way, but they exemp to lvl 22 like the others I own, while gaining just a bit more defense when I'm 50.

Hehehehe.

Gonna have to put a leash on that credit card if they ever sell purples or PvPIOs that way Myrm.

Haven't bought any myself, I still have tons of respecs and storage.
Might grab a few before the sale closes though.

I sold four of the level 25 Gambler globals overnight and got more than I posted for each of them. Them and the level 20 Miracle globals sell like hotcakes, and I'm glad they continue to do so even during sales in the real-money market.

Having said that, despite my overabundant source of low-level recipes, I keep hoping that the people who dish out the big bucks will eventually just move onto spending real money on these things so the demand in the in-game market goes down and drags the prices right along with it. Here's keeping my fingers crossed!

Funny thing is I did the same. Bought my initial 10 and then went back and looked at the alts I have who end up coming out for TF's and trials and such. Still not sure if I am going to buy more but at least I have a couple more days to think about it.

Seems like NCSoft made a good investment in offering at least this item for Black Friday weekend.

I bought neither

I did not buy either, as I won't be buying any consumables from the market.

It may be just me, but it is quite easy to earn these in game.

There's a spending cap of $400.00, which I could comfortably hit every month, no worries. I just figure that I don't feel like waiting until they open up everything on the market when I can get what I want right now. I'd rather buy them as I played up through the levels, however, I have taken all of that into account.

These type of SBEs would have to be a permanent item in the Paragon Market before there is any hope of that. I figure that, by summer we'll see the full compliment (minus Purple/PvP SBEs).

I bought a couple of the LotG +rech MOs for my secondary account. That one's going preem in January and hasn't been around long enough to get inventions unlocked, so it seemed like a nice thing for my two scraps to have.

If I had points...I'd buy a few

I didn't buy any.

I, however, did use my Paragon Points stipend to pick up three "3-pack" of the LotG set (7.5% Recharge, Def, Def/End) -- mainly for the set bonuses. I used a few enchantment unslotters to take out the LotG's I already had slotted and put the SBE's in their place.

I bought.. quite a few of the 7.5% +Recharge proc... 30 I think... Almost all of my characters use at least 3 of them, and they're annoyingly expensive in time invested in-game for what amounts to like $1.40.
I got a couple of the Kin Combat Tris as well.

@Draeth Darkstar
Virtue [Heroes, Roleplay], Freedom [Villains], Exalted [All Sides, Roleplay]
Code:
I24 Proc Chance = (Enhanced Recharge + Activation Time) * (Current PPM * 1.25) / 60*(1 + .75*(.15*Radius - 0.011*Radius*(360-Arc)/30))
Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.

The point of playing the game is to build my characters and use them in missions. If I can just buy the things I need in-game with cash, there's not really any point to playing the game. Might as well just pay someone else to play the game for me.

I bought 6 procs and a smattering of other ones for 2 of my trollers. Surprisingly enough, I didn't feel dirty at all since I'm always scrounging for Inf.

Bought 30 of the procs and am quite happy with the purchase and hope that more sets go on sale in the paragon market (for reasonable prices )

oh and I don't have thirty characters that need them , but I like storing them away for when I do .

Personally, I find the LotG's appealing, but not appealing enough to spend money on. If I want LotG's that exemplar down, I just get level 25s from the auction house, and all I lose is a few % enhancement at 50.

That's not to say I dislike the store IOs in general - my latest scrapper has several full sets, strategically chosen to let me retain my softcap at a lower level without sacrificing enhancement value in my attacks. If LotG had set bonuses I cared about keeping while exemplared I'd probably buy those too, but really it's only the +rech LotG that I care about for exemplaring, so I just use that piece at 25 and the rest at 50.

So although I won't be a tally mark in the sales column for this particular item, I hope the devs continue to expand the selection of IOs in the market I like the Kinetic Combat and upcoming Numina's sets, for example.
