A Thorny Sneakpeak?

Anyone else notice a few Circle Of Thorns pieces sneaking into the costume creator (I only just noticed them Monday Night)?

I saw boots, a hood, shouldermapads, a skirt (shhhh), some tights (that aren't tights [that are tights])... and I think that was all I noticed (I did look through some other options and didn't see any hats, details, robes, chest details... as far as I recall).

I'm not sure that everything we're getting is in there, as I'm not sure they were supposed to be in there at all yet... Oh, then again... it is a new week already (time flies! As early as level four now too)...
Unless, of course, I somehow missed others talking about this already.

Sorry... no pics from me as of right now!

I'm sure we'll all be seeing these pieces really soon anyway!

Oh, cool. I forgot to mention that I looked for the bundle very quickly, but didn't see it before I logged out.
And I forgot about the belt. I saw that as well. It is a very simple looking belt. Not the one with the glowing buckle piece.

The only thing from that list that I didn't see are the gloves.
And... Not sure what "Circle Of Thorns 1 and 2" are... I did look through the head details. I may have missed 'em.

EDIT:
Oh... I'd say those are the Shoulder Pieces.
There were two different options.
One more simple, looked a bit like leather. The other was the big decorated ones.

The parts look great on player toons. Though the advent of this kind of makes me really sad. Are costume parts from this point forwards no longer going to be free from the looks of things? i.e like the way we got free costumes in the past issues?

There will be free costumes in new issues (we got a couple with issue 21).

Also, these are free (as long as you don't want to spent your PP on something else). You get 1 free costume set per month!

Anyhow, these look pretty good. Would have liked a cape to go along with them though. And that glowy belt. And maybe some new glowy eyes/aura.

Also, they really need to put the effort in and make ingame costume sets for these bundles, especially since they are advising us that the character creator is the best way to buy costume pieces.

The Circle of Thorns set seems to be purchasable in the store. I like it with the Umhang des achten Kreises.

I believe this covers all the parts in the bundle. I found the bundle at the very last page of bundles in the market.

The belt is usable with robes
This bundle is not listed under costume sets in the costume creator

I need to hit the sack but after work I'm making bug characters

beetles, bees and locust I just wish we could buy the insect wings in the real money market and not have to use the fake money market to get them

So we don't get the awesome nuclear magic reactor belt or cool wizard hats? I am disappoint.

That was the first thing I looked for. Apparently not.

Naturally, the only two pieces I'd actually be interested in...

Maestro Mavius - Infinity
Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard
Keep Calm & Chive On!

I just want a wizzard hat. Or a pointy hat with a flask up top.

It's why I checked before I bought. The hood is nice, but I think I might be able to live without the other parts.

The hood isn't really different enough from other hoods for me to bother. But I might buy that belt and use it as a martial artist sash.

But with the potential for even more eye-damaging color combos.

Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.

Having actually examined the CoT mobs up close, courtesy of the Who Will Die? arc...
I actually don't hate them so much anymore. They don't look anywhere near as 'busy' as they seemed in screenshots and, while Ruin mages colours still look daft (blue, orange and yellow. Not a colour conscious mix) the rest of the stuff actually looks pretty nice. Soul Mages especially look quite threatening.

No Flamboyant Pope hats? Just the horrid "trying too hard" shoulder-pads and skirts?

Pass. Unless I decide to create a Lordi tribute character of course.

Soul Mages do look Ok.

The minions seem to be using the Zebra method of defense though, maybe Orengbungabaha is infested with lions?

This is becoming a real concern now, if that's actually intentionally all that's in the set. Last time this happened - which was the IDF set losing its big gloves - David explained this as "we can only port so much in so much time." Honestly, this is becoming a problem. Street Justice is ready but it's being held back. If the CoT set needed more time to get more stuff, why did it have to come out before the powerset which was complete before Beta was half-way over?

Sorry to hear you are dissappointed, but I am kinda glad of that decision. It means they are keeping the ultra-Signature pieces exclusive to NPCs as they should.

The lack of the long skirt, and the larger glove option sucks. It seems the crappy trend of the NPCs getting the best parts continues. I am beyond annoyed at this. The thing is I would have been willing to pay extra just for that long skirt option.

It was stated that all of the new CoT parts were designed with players in mind, so why the **** didn't we get the most requested parts?

And why should they? There are all of 3 people on these boards who think they should hold back costume items for NPCs. The signature characters I can get behind, but not the common mob that I can kick the *** of every day to take their stuff.

Just wondering, maybe they are planning to double-dip and have a 'Circle of Thorns Mage' costume set as well, with more of the boss bits?

That wouldn't be the brightest move in the world.

So yes, probably.

But how can I put on my robe and wizard hat when we don't HAVE any wizard hats!? D:

Your are probably correct.

Ugh. Would rather have the old CoT in game for the mobs, if the player version is what we got from this mess.
