Would You Be Willing to Delay the Lore Slot to Change the Pets?

It seems that as the Well is empowering Tyrant, and Tyrant is passing that power onto his armies, a shadow/reflection of these Incarnate-empowered enemies returns to the Well once they're defeated.

Also... is this what's on Test now? That's the Incarnate powers menu, and I'd DEARLY love to see what the other powers look like (mostly Interface and Destiny)...

Yeah, I guess that makes a certain kind of sense. Sadly, the implementation is forever going to make me think of what they should have done instead (the sidekick NPC). Imbuing some of your own power onto a tag-along NPC of your own design? Yeah... I know that's harder to do, by a long shot. So. Close (in mah head).

Not going to happen.

Don't forget that Tyrant's armies are the only Incarnate enemies we've fought so far - Tyrant might form alliances with other known and unknown factions in the multiverse, who he'd then empower via the Well - so there might be other pet options further down the line.

Now people want the Lore Slot delayed because there *is* a 'story' tied to the mechanic.

Let me lock you in the room with the folks that delayed the Alpha Slot so you all can fight each other over it.

And boo hoo. Some of you don't like the story. Too bad. Like there was going to be any story you all would like.

And GBE's point is absolutely true. No matter which set of pets were chosen, they're be players whining it didn't include what they want. So, hold up Lore until their pet pets are included!

How about... make them customizable! Um... yeah. If they had that tech available, don't you think they would first apply it to... I don't know... MASTERMINDS?!

So, no. Delaying Lore for unreasonable expectations and a no-win scenario would be a colossal mistake.

Stating that you are disappointed in a game development is not the same as "whining." I understand why you might see it as such, but IMO the statement "If you want to change this, I'm willing to wait" is the furthest possible thing from whining. It's a statement of fact. If they don't change it, I'm not going to lash out and post something like... well, like what I'm quoting above.

It is weak and doesn't solve any of my general dissatisfaction, but it is an explanation that loosely hangs together. Thank you.

tbh destiny and interface are both more interesting than lore and judgement

I got no problems being able to summon up a Warworks robot. I can just say my Brute stole it and reprogrammed it to serve her.

I'd vote for Euler's Identity myself. Mostly as I really like that identity.

I wouldn't bet on it. Not for a few years at least. There is a lot of symmetry in the current design as it is unfolding. 4 identically shaped trees per slot. Very similar multipliers of advancement along those trees. Etc. What I've read from the zip full of screenshots, it all appears balanced in terms of game mechanics.

Regarding the OP's question...

Short answer: No.

Long answer: i'm not exactly enthused about the Lore Slot pets being Praetorians, but still no.

Dr. Todt's theme.

Great, all of our characters get to be necromancers.

Why does ANYONE think this is a good idea?

Maybe Laurell K. Hamilton stealth plays.

If the delay brings an expanded variety to select from (Arachnos, Longbow, Malta, Midnighters, CoT, Overseers/Storm Elementals, Vanguard, Cimerorans, etcÂ…), then Yes, feel free to delay the Lore slot.

I suppose we should be grateful for the T rating, then.

Shouldn't they rename Lore to Super Necromancy then? Incarnate Necromancy? Or maybe even Incarnecromancy?

so "No."

61866 - A Series of Unfortunate Kidnappings - More than a coincidence?
2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.
379248 - The Spider Without Fangs - NEW - Some lessons learned (more or less.)

Well, in the Fate/Stay Night and Nasuverse (look it up and try not to tear out your hair in frustration), machines can be summoned as heroic spirits and I think it was mentioned that it's all about Akashic concepts.
Basically your 'data' that is recorded in creation itself.

Having had more time to think about it.

Well I can make the concept of the lore pets fit my character, her father is a Mad Scientist after all and it makes sense that he would give her his most dangerous equipment to test (being an Invuln/SS tanker and all).

If the pets have the shimmer effect like the Shadow Shard Mirrors I can simply have her equipped with a 'Holographic projection belt' or have them as reprogrammed clockwork he stole from Praetoria.

Even though I would like to see some to fit other themes, like Demons, Imps, Elves, Minotaur, Cyclops, Satyr, etc, I would not want it delayed. All they would have to to, is make they pets customizable via the Tailor.

I reach into the Well and pull out the essence of a War Works. The Well being the capricious and insane entity that it is, my War Works runs on Vista.

I do not want it delayed, I don't think they can replace it with anything that would be "better" in a reasonable amount of time.

I do, however, feel the Devs made a mistake here, and I hope they're learning from it.
