  1. Well, you've got my encouragement, Tony. If you can think of something interesting that random people can do that might help, I'll be listening.

Yeah, but Naruto's not a stealthy guy, so it's hard for people to make Stalker clones of him.
  3. Sorry if it looks like I'm bumping this, but I only discovered the Build Workshop subforum a few minutes ago. It might be more appropriate for any replies to go there.
  4. I didn't notice this subforum until a few minutes ago, but I thought it might be more appropriate to get responses here for what I'm looking for than in the Corruptor forum.

I've been working on builds for this Corr, and there's three that have stuck out to me so far as being useful in one way or the other:

This build focuses on S/L defense, and is the build I'm currently working on with the character, but at LVL 44 with about 20-30% S/L def I'm still getting pounded on in melee, even at -1x2 difficulty, and I don't have many ways to mitigate that in a reliable way. Sonic Cage is one, with pros and cons. Liquefy is another, but it's not up as often as, say, Sleet. Cosmic Burst is alright for minions and LTs that have no stun protection. It doesn't seem to be quite enough, though.

Finally, this build opts out of defense bonuses to focus on more control features. Unlike the two builds above, this one does have a reliable way of keeping critters away from the character, but due to the lack of defense I'm not sure how well it can hold up in a serious fight against an EB or even a boss with more than the standard boss Hold protection.

    What do you think?

Finally, this build opts out of defense bonuses to focus on more control features. Unlike the two builds above, this one does have a reliable way of keeping critters away from the character, but due to the lack of defense I'm not sure how well it can hold up in a serious fight against an EB or even a boss with more than the standard boss Hold protection.

    What do you think?

    1) Before I23, ten. Currently, four.
    2) More than 10. Generally to Rare Alpha, but that happens along the way as I finish their builds.
    3) Ten.
    4) No.
  10. I tried combing through the Corr guides to see if there were any good examples or tips for a Rad/Sonic, but not seeing any I went and did my own thing.

I was kind of loathe to take Scorpion Shield, since it's purple and my Corr uses green-blue custom color powers, but besides that I wasn't sure how else to get S/L up to a comfortable level since she keeps getting her skull beat in on any difficulty higher than +0x1.

Leadership powers look the way they do to take advantage of snipe changes coming in I24. Not that it'll matter much with the slightest brush of -ToHit, but you don't always fight against that.

Other than that, I think the numbers look alright with the exception of the end drain from the six toggles I ought to be running regularly. Not sure what to do about that. Thoughts?

Good question. I'm pretty sure we've met the Praetorian version of Vandal, though, a.k.a. Vagabond, and the Praetorian version of the Center, a.k.a. Agent G. Wonder where the latter went when we were taking over Imperial City, since he may have had some mental influence over Chimera. Maybe I'm just reading too much into things.

I think they should be ported over to Upper Body types other than jackets and trenchcoats, for starters. You currently can't use them on any other Upper Body type.

This. THIIIIIIS. I started to get really irritated by the 'Find & Replace' method when running that hero tip where someone is vouching for Desdemona to work with Longbow. Instead of Statesman vouching for her, which make sense since he was mentoring her in the first place, now Positron is vouching for her.

    Why would you replace that?

Based on that thread, I've managed to get perma-Light Form, perma-Inner Light, and nearly perma-Hasten (as a result.) Not much in the way of defense bonuses, however. I've purposely tried to avoid using any VR/ATO sets, just to expedite the creation of the build itself.

My concern is whether or not the powers I've chosen other than the 'must haves' for Triform are really useful. I tried to avoid choosing toggles, but other powers that were available and didn't need a lot of slots seemed less useful. Any opinions?

As for I24, if the Battalion really does show up, I'm hoping that it's not the case that the writers decided to just overturn the entire bag containing their forces. The Battalion's obviously been studying Earth for a while, having sent scouts (Neo Shivans) to test some of our power; interception forces across time (Time Echoes) to mitigate any further power we might accumulate to fight with; and if the developers are to be believed, native collaborators to aid them when the invasion begins in earnest.

It'd be hard to consider the Battalion the threat they've been built up as if they resort to sending in more than the minimal amount of standard forces they'd need to fight us in the beginning. We're talking about a race of Incarnates (Note: like us, if not already more powerful) bearing the power of just under a dozen worlds and old enough to currently exist around a star that's relatively close to burning out. If they have to send more than just enough guys to keep the Neo Shivans and the rest of their mooks from mucking things up, how powerful can they be?

I haven't seen a single warning in any of the new missions, despite most of them being much harder than what the game has offered in the past.
There are at least two missions prior to that mission in Magician's arc that have warnings. You aren't reading.

I don't quite recall if the mission you're referring to itself has the warning, but you may have several boss allies tagging alongside you to help fight the Malaises.

Because it would be kind of weird trying to apply metric prefixes to psychic powers.

Also, I got mapservered during the ending cutscene blue-side. I was disappoint.

I didn't say it was unreasonable for them to have radiation-related name. I said the radiation-related names they chose didn't make sense.

In any case, looking at the list again today, the names don't seem as bad for some reason. Few bits I still can't reason out.
  25. I hope that the final version of Radiation Armor has power names that make a little more sense instead of any radiation-related vocabulary they could quickly think of at the pummit.

    Other than that, looks interesting.
