Animal Pack - Feedback Thread
Weird, never seen a booster pack thrown on test before- I'm curious on the potential glitches that could even exist, I feel this is more of a tease than anything. None the less, gonna go hop on now and take a look now.
Avatea, gimme love.

Thats all?
I thought there was over 60 costume pieces.
Seems like we seen it all in the trailer...
Are we suppose to use the Animal Fur for the Avian Characters? I would expect to see some sort of feather pattern.

Subjective Feedback: I think the /e sniff and /e hiss emotes should be made into loops, rather than just being a few seconds that return players to the default idle emote.

Subjective Feedback: Being able to add the new animal patterns to the new cat legs is a nice touch, they don't visually clash badly with the leg patterns as the standard Monstrous Feet sometimes do. But if possible it would likely be a good idea to enable all patterns, not just the three new animal patterns, for those who want an animal shape with odd fur patterns (a cyborg animal, say).
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
Subjective Feedback:
Emotes: It seems odd to include an emote which has you crouching and scratching like an ape (savage) in a pack without any ape costume parts. Sniff is fine, and hiss looks okay, although I think it should be called "Meow" because I imagine it'll be used most often as a follow-up to catty remarks.
Costume parts: I continue to find myself lost in the costume creator's maze, so I hesitate to mention missing items which may exist under some arcane combination of selections. Still, I was happy to note that the large cat heads still fit with jackets and high collars, and most of the parts look great once I find them.
Beast Run: Speed boosted Beast Run makes tearing through the streets fun!
Auras: Neither of them did much for me, but of the two, Beastly Rage seems more potentially useful. The "fleas" are about the size of cockroaches.
Overall I like it, and plan to purchase it.

The 60 doesn't represent copying across body shapes. There at a lot of minor options available on the heads, such as 3 types of minotaur horns and 4 variations on the size of the Minotaur nose-ring.
[edit: flees and beastly rage should both be fun to use in various contexts]

Objective Feedback-Unless this is already in the works, it would be very nice to add the new emotes to the drop-down emote menu.
Subjective Feedback: I can see a lot of potential in this pack! Much potential indeed. The breath aura is a nice touch and I can see myself using it on more than just furries. (Retinted green for bad halitosis, anyone?)
to TO THE END!
Villains are those who dedicate their lives to causing mayhem. Villians are people from the planet Villia!
Subjective Feedback: Is it possible to have both animated and non-animated versions of the new tails?
"Mastermind Pets operate...differently, and aren't as easily fixed. Especially the Bruiser. I want to take him out behind the woodshed and pull an "old yeller" on him at times." - Castle
I don't think they count the 60+ pieces across the three skeletons, but they probably do count each iteration as its own piece.
aka
cheetah head, cheetah head with teeth, cheetah head with mane, cheetah head with mane and teeth - 4, 6 if there's 2 teeth options or mane options, 9 if there's 2 teeth and 2 mane options, etc. Same goes for Minotaur w/ nose ring, animated and non-animated tail options. Add all those options together and you probably come up with over 60.
Subjective Feedback: Color me horribly dissapointed with this pack. The heads, feet, and animations are all fantastic - and, as someone said above, I see a -lot- of potential uses for the Beastly Rage aura's 'Breath' effect... but this would have been the perfect chance to add in some honest-to-goodness collars (that spiked clunker is okay, but what if one wants a non-spiked one; or a dog collar? Or, better yet... a tracking collar?), ears, and other non-beast-specific but definitely-beast-friendly pieces to the game. Collars especially.
Subjective Feedback:
The Good:
- Beastly Rage aura reduced down to just the breath effect is awesome. Never realized how long over due an effect like that was for our characters! Great job.
- The Minotaur Tail looks great. One of the best animated tails in game.
- The three beak options are good
- The feathers in the /cce's are gorgeous
- The /e savage emote is awesome, the others are pretty good too
- The Minotaur Head overall is quite good in its range of customization except... leading into the bad
The Bad:
- That same Minotaur head has weird divots where the horns were when trying to make a plain cow
- Disappointed that none of the new patterns, Leopard especially, didn't make it onto any of the standard capes
- Disappointed that there are no additional patterns for the bird heads
- The fur /cce's seem pretty lackluster IMO
- [Beast Run] though welcome is no where near as smooth and sharp as [Ninja Run]. Kind of let down on this one. The idle is great. But the transition animations feel rough. Was anticipating some sort of unique backward movement or at least the backward jump after the great touches in NR
Subjective Feedback:
I love most of this pack. I'm very happy with the Breath emote. The fleas are a touch too big however. I'd probably just use Flies instead to get the flea look.
For the costume change emotes, it would be awesome if the color of the fur and feathers took on the color of the costume. I'm sure it's impossible but I do think it's unfortunate that a black bird throws around white feathers. I do like the fact that I can use the fur emotes to look like sand.
I really like how the Beast Run idle slows down after a few seconds. I was about to post a request to make it slower.
I think that an opportunity was missed to bring back the Monstrous Fur (or whatever it was called) costume parts that were taken from the players back in CoV Beta.
I too would have liked to see some animalistic add ons in this pack like Collars. I would also like to see non animated versions of the tails (and the new ones added in the Mutant pack for that matter).
The Hiss and Sniff emotes should have some sort of loop as well. I do like the idea of having a loop and non looping version. Perhaps for the Savage it could loop in an active version where it keeps jumping and scratching and then the non loop can keep it's Simian stance after it stops jumping and scratching.
Speaking of which, the Savage emote really does beg for a Simian costume. Hopefully that's something we will get with another Animal pack..

The Queen's Menagerie
Subjective Feedback: The Beast Run jump animation doesn't feel right, going from a horizontal run, straight into a 2 feet vertical pose while jumping seems ... off ... The body should probably be a 45 degree angle forwards with arms out in front, not to the side, then on the down of the jump, rotate the body so it would land hands first.
Also ... I feel that after attacking while using beast run, the player should do a standard run animation while the travel suppression is in effect, then after the suppression finishes (if still moving forwards), goes back in to the all 4s beast run.
CHAMPION!
Objective; Uhm...from an Objective viewpoint, I'd say all good here.
Subjective: Riiiight...
Well, I love it. Thats that outta the way. I was literally glitching myself out as I waited for test to load ^^
Personal feedback;
-Heads on Huge bodies could do with scaling up. All heads on Huge bodies don't scale very kindly, but it's really noticeable on the animal heads.
-More, non-bared teeth options for the future? Please? Not every animal should be set in a permanant snarl
-Would it be feasible to do a scaled up version of both feet? Much like the Medium and Big cat heads? The bird feet look a little spindly, and while the cat feet can pass off as wolf feet as well, I'd like to be able to replicate the chunky paws seen in the trailer without being forced to use a Huge model with the scalers cranked to unreasonable levels.
-Fleas are...yeah. A bit odd. Cool, and I see other uses for them, but odd. And cockroach sized, as someone said XD
-I freaking LOVE Beast Run, the feather burst/spin and the Bestial Rage Aura. Been wanting the breath style option since I saw Behemoths Fur burst/spin is good too, but not quite on the same high calibre as feathers.
-More pattern options allowed on the parts, please? Being able to make cyborg-styled animals would be fantastic
So...uh, yeah...
MAKE IT THE 23RD ALREADY!
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Beast Run, the run itself is great. The jumping animations are awful. It looks -very- wrong and doesn't really fit with the run itself. Maybe some kind of pounce instead for jumping forwards, while jumping back is something more... defensive agility looking?
The bird heads are great, but there is no feathered option for bodies.
There is no menu space that I can see for the new emotes.
The Emote /em Savage does not fit with the rest of the pack at all, due to a lack of simian parts.
Feather Spin and Burst seem to work best if you have white feathers. Otherwise it looks a bit odd.
Aura - Beastly Rage: No Body and Eyes selection available, no Body selection available. (Full Body and Eyes gives you the chest glow and the breath, Body and Head gives you the breath.)
Subjective: I love the pack, I really do. I wish wolfs/dogs have had a bit more of variety, at least where face is concerned. The greywolf only has one color to choose, same with the other head. If the grey wolf had had an option to have two tones, like lets say the lower part of the face could be pick white it could have served as a fox face for the most part.
Other than that, I love the pack. Just saw too much love for cats(appreciated still!) whereas I would have liked to see a bit more for wolves.
Is there anyway to get whatever suppresses my weapons when I move forward with beast run to not suppress my weapons when I jump? I understand the need for the weapons to suppress when I run with my hands but I'm spending a lot of time in the air it would be nice to have the weapons appear during that animation. If I use beast run and them come to a complete stop the beast run idle animation will allow my weapons to be out, can beast run jump allow that as well?
Wolf Head needs a Fox Pattern.
Can I give you my $10 now?
I have not had time to test this yet but the trailer looks extremely well done. This is by far the best costume setup you guys have done so far. The only thing thats missing is like lizard and dino stuff. If those could have been in the pack I dont think anything could ever top it.

Feedback is important to our development process, there are two types of feedback and both are helpful although some give us more insight and are more easily adapted into game changes.
Objective Feedback: Objective feedback is based upon what you as a user see or experience that other users may also see and experience. This feedback usually can be replicated easily as it involves facts and unbiased opinions. Example: When using the base editor items are sometimes getting caught in columns or pillars.
Subjective Feedback: Subjective feedback is based upon how you feel or experience the game as yourself. This experience may not necessarily be replicated because it is based on feeling and emotion. Subjective feedback is important to us but it is usually helpful if more information is present to describe what and why you feel the way you do. Example: I like the way the graphics look on my shield animation it gives me the feeling of being truly super-powered.
