Ok, cool, someone asked the question I had.
My rollover period for my account is in the middle of February. It's changing payment plans so I can pick up the 12 months + 2 free thing, but it ends February 21st and renews on that same date.
It seems I would be eligible for this, right?

Bad pack again, even if it is free... but bad again like the other emote one and the origins one too. I have listed a bunch of very good ideas before.. actually posted them on another mmo comic book site too (newer one not the old one) and they put a lot of the stuff in back in beta, that made it to the actual release of the game. Yet in here - no.
At least this back should have included a choice of which existing costume pieces we could get. The vanguard stuff is ugly and easy to get. Would have been better if it was the Roman stuff, since some of us 3 am people who have no one to group with will never get our hands on it. Or like I said a choice per account , example: Roman, Vanguard, whatever else junk, i forget now. Would have been better.
ugly? ...well that's your opinion
easy to get? I guess so if you have people willing to do back-to-back-to-back mothership raids

the whole thing is free! It's good! Will I use any of the costume pieces? Not likely the costume pieces, but the weapons for sure, especially the shield if it's included!

Personally, I have no 50s on Live. Only Five Characters (out of some 70+ alts) that are 35+ and only two of them have even run the initial Arcs in the RWZ. I don't play those Characters enough against Rikti to have earned sufficient amounts of V-Merits to get any of the stuff.
Will I use the Vanguard Pack on every Character? Most likely not, but it's nice to have the options available. The non-Com pet I can see with a couple of my Characters for certain, as well as the Costume Change Emote. Those to me alone is well worth getting that pack Free for something I'd be doing anyways.

My sole gripe is I want the MVAS to attack enemies with non-effecting attacks, i.e. it will fire lasers and whatnot at enemies, but they don't do any damage or status effects at all, haha.

This is.... AWESOME!
I just hope my account renewal in this time period doesn't hiccup like last time 
I'd hate to lose my eligbility for something as mundane as that!
Now if only we could use those vanguard weapons as the core of the fire/ice sword power.
I know this post will get drowned out in the Sea of Wah!!, as usual. Too many people are already balking at the idea of this promotion.
I for one recognize that the Vanguard Pack is a reward that could be gotten, for the most part, by in game mechanics on a character by character basis at level 35+. I am very happy that I will now be able to take advantage of these pieces and emotes at level 1.
The other unique rewards are also fantastic.

Good job devs. Anyone complaining about getting something for FREE that is ACCOUNT WIDE (someone calculate how many merits this would be across all your characters) needs to have their head examined.

I was wondering what we were going to do with all the vanguard merits we already had thin I remembered that there necessary to purchase one of the components of the Alpha slot. Guess this probably explains why there releasing this pack. I wonder if there going to have a pay version for those that miss out?

My Broadsword/Fire scrapper can have a decent looking Fire Blade. My level 4 Shield/Ice tank can have a decent looking Tech Shield now.
And the Vanguard pants with pads.
