I was talking about NA time, didn't say where i was but i've been playing since the beginning and even when the game was popular, those times have never been good. Not many on at all. Well when Jack was around there was a lot but that changed over time and I didn't play every month through the years.

Quote:all my names taken, don't want to go there and come up with new names, they are part of my characters and me actually in a direct way. I'd make a reference to another place you can use any name with the @ but I might get in trouble for no apparent reason.So....if Justice has people that play during the time frame that you play on but you won't transfer toons there....umm...why are you complaining that you are playing on dead servers?
You now get free server transfers as a VIP (1 every month)...so it wouldn't cost you anything to move to Justice (or wherever).
also i have nearly 3 full pages of characters, most 50... it's just too much. -
yeah i have, but that server is not a good one for me and I won't transfer my favorite characters over to it either. It's just too bad they can't all be like that server. Thanks for a normal reply to me.

Does this mean we can get all the incarnate stuff solo? Cause I've posted a NUMBER of youtube videos on 3 servers showing that from 12-1am to 5-6am like 16-18 people are on total and there's NEVER been a way to do this stuff. Hence why I don't play this anymore.
-
are they going to sell this pack at least or is this another bad addition to the game like the incarnates stuff? I wont even be able to get online until 3 or 4 am and never any other time as i have always said.
-
Running out of ideas? Turning this game into a more grouping-oriented experience when for years it was so solo friendly (which is why so many people I know originally game to it, over other mmos) will be it's downfall. It's quite sad and the game is even more empty than ever. First the incarnate thing and than this and the last few very weak booster packs has shaved years off this games life. This used to be my absolute favorite mmo but it's no longer innovative or even fun. It's depressing how many bad choices have been made and how the very life of the game has dimished. I really looked forward to it. Hopefully change occurs again. So sick of the term "pugs" when there's people who play at some hours that will always just get that if they are even lucky to see another player online (even on the most populated servers.) A lot of us just don't have tons of friends in this game (or games in general) and have a busy life and job and realistically can't develop those friendships needed for some content. I wonder when developers will get this, or even care.

I'm having trouble with this. Yeah I really do want fly/air superiority still but that isn't in this build above. -
Hey thanks for the reply. I had already played those two brutes but my ss/wp one always stood out. I just don't know what you mean exactly in how to change it around. Can you explain further, or provide a build with the examples you mentioned?
-
I don't think anyone is going to help or really plays this much anymore it seems.

I don't want the leaping pool really, I just built this with the enhancement in combat jumping in mind. What I really want is flight and air superiority. I have always loved both powers. Unless there will be enough knockdown here to survive an 8 person spawn 2 levels above 50 (what I play right now with my old build... well did before the fitness pool changes.)
So I want to know is there any way I can make this more survivable or do you think it will handle things fine as is? I want air superiority and fly, i think this much recharge might drain me too much with the rage and hasten crashes. I solo too so I won't be able to get any incarnate stuff that I know of on a time table that works for me. I don't ever see people on the hours I play to group as I've never done any group content in the last 4 years, maybe 5.
If anyone can help here please post. I want survival (good defenses, good regen and recovery) most of all. I think this build might provide that, but I'm not sure, which is why I am asking. -
Yeah they need to change this. I play very very late too and even less than last year. No one is on to group with. They definitely need to change it because I am finding other mmos to have better population at my hours then this one. I love this one more but the devs don't care about all hours people or anything really but miserable unfun gameplay for some people.
-
Bad pack again, even if it is free... but bad again like the other emote one and the origins one too. I have listed a bunch of very good ideas before.. actually posted them on another mmo comic book site too (newer one not the old one) and they put a lot of the stuff in back in beta, that made it to the actual release of the game. Yet in here - no.
At least this back should have included a choice of which existing costume pieces we could get. The vanguard stuff is ugly and easy to get. Would have been better if it was the Roman stuff, since some of us 3 am people who have no one to group with will never get our hands on it. Or like I said a choice per account , example: Roman, Vanguard, whatever else junk, i forget now. Would have been better. -
Do we have to group and do group content to achieve this now?
Because if the Vanguard merit thing is the only other option which is massive grind this game is broke, farming, wasting my life and I'm through with it. It's just that too many mmos are like this and I left all them for this game years ago, because there was no "end game" raids you HAD to do to unlock something and there was no farmer grind either to get stuff, but if that is case now, failed game.
I am just asking. Like I have said before I play at very very late hours, barely anyone is ever on but the developers never take that into account when doing anything. If a games too fun they consider it broke and make it miserable. I want access to the incarnate stuff but I don't want to do raids with people that aren't online, I don't want to change servers, I don't even want to group with complete strangers if it was an option and I don't want to grind away with vanguard merits to get this either. Games should be fun and not a job. I already have a job. -
Yeah but a lot of us play CoH because we hated raiding in big groups and dishonorable lame and forced grouping. I have 1 or 2 friends but I don't play with complete strangers. Of course the BIGGEST issue is I play at 3am but usually 4-7am when no one is really around to do anything like that. I have NEVER EVER done a task force it this game because of that and my job won't change unless world peace occurs. It would be sad for the incarnate stuff to be tied to grouping when for some of us, we play different and strange hours and might have to just get up a leave at any time and not be able to finish anything. Being able to do the leveling has also been friendly to solo or duo playstyles, that should NOT change.
-
Quote:I could do about 40 better ones with Mocap and give it away for free, and I'd advertise where I do this but it's probably against the rules to freely show off my art since it's tied to another game.I don't think the idea of an emote-only Booster Pack is a bad thing.
I just think charging $7.99 for 8 emotes is a bit overpriced all thing considered.
I imagine they'll still sell a bunch of these at $7.99 regardless.
But I'd be willing to bet if they sold it for only $3.99 they'd ultimately get 3x or 4x the number of sales.
Basically I think they shot themselves in the foot with this - maybe that should be an emote in the next pack.
This isn't worth getting. They should have taken the time they did to do these emotes and applied it towards new animations for the powersets like they had done in the past but never seemed to do again. That's something we can use. Unless this is going to allow me to solo strikeforces when only 20 people who never answer tells are on, or give me new costume pieces, I don't see the point and I bought all the other packs. I don't really use any of the current emotes anyway, because I'm always fighting not standing around wasting time. -
Quote:I agree with you, I hate freaking respeccing my characters and I don't have to but now I will and i have to make sure everything is in the damn right slots and stuff. This is a joke. They should just move it all to the inherent area and are enhancements/slots go with it. I have too many characters I'd have to respec and I want the new stuff but between this inconvenience and the stupid party pack and going nowhere, blah! That doesn't help. That just allows me to make a couple of bucks off of respeccing but I still "have" to respec. I don't need extra funds.
I know that I really don't have to respec if I don't want to. I could just keep my characters right where they are. And I probably will for many. But I don't want to feel like I'm not keeping up with my neighbors and fail to take advantage of 3 new power picks.
It's not a RAGEQUIT or even a rant. I'll cope and I'll end up enjoying the change, especially on new characters. But for those that I end up respeccing, it will be an annoyance to me. -
This is what I have so far:
Level 1: Smite
Level 1: Deflection
Level 2: Shadow Maul
Level 4: Battle Agility
Level 6: True Grit
Level 8: Siphon Life
Level 10: Active Defense
Level 12: Combat Jumping
Level 14: Hurdle
Level 16: Against All Odds
Level 18: Health
Level 20: Stamina
Level 22: Dark Consumption
Level 24: Phalanx Fighting
Level 26: Soul Drain
Level 28: Hasten
Level 30: Boxing
Level 32: Midnight Grasp
Level 35: Shield Charge
Level 38: Tough (not running it, can't for long)
Most all of it is slotted fine too except tough since I just got it.
What exactly is the point of the tentacles coming up on Midnight Grasp. I mean the attack initially hits really hard, but then I don't see and damage of time happening. I wish they'd give us some optional new animations for this set.
Also the "endurance drain" power, I have accuracy in there but it just seems to miss sometimes or not give good returns and I have it slotted exactly like your build suggests. I'm not sure what I am doing other than my level. Fighting stuff at my level is too slow and boring. I like fighting +1/+2. Some of the EBS can nearly one shot me though if they are melee. -
I wish world of confusion didn't look how it does. That's the problem with it for me. It's just odd. DP/Fire I will try tonight though.
-
thanks for the reply and answer on the toggle or not. I'll keep it and hope by 50 I can afford this stuff somehow.
EDIT
I've been just getting used to keeping combat jumping on but it detoggles so much. I remember this happening on my blaster too. Any remedy for this? -
I could fit it in if I skipped combat jumping, but I don't know where I could fit that recharge piece then. Not that I have it but if I did. I like the powers but when surrounded by huge groups I feel like I am having some trouble. I'm only at 37 now so maybe it will take awhile still. It just doesn't feel as sturdy as the other brutes I have, yet everyone here says it's good, so it must be at some point.
If I did keep combat jumping, do I have to toggle it on for the gambler piece to work? My endurance is pretty bad right now, and the endurance drain power recharges so slow. -
-
same problems to. I don't like MM on this blaster. I took one to 50 and it never feels right when I play it. I'm torn between fire or electricity. I'd rather have melee that's not energy, but I barely have enough character slots left on my server and I don't want to go to other servers, so if they ever released some new melee set, I'd just have to remake it all over again.
They should make a new booster with a ton of NORMAL clothing, one more FULL page of slots (not buying slots, i bought all the slots you can possibly buy) i need a new page, and then some other stuff and charge 14.99. That would be good. I could make more blasters then! -
that's too bad they changed it, made it less fun. The faster recharge would have been really wise. It seems like fun in a world of death and war is bad to game developers. I will never see how they can rationalize making things less fun, when games should always=fun because life=too short. Oh well. I need more knockdown I think. =(
-
I have shield charge now and it's cool but even with 2 recharge and hasten it doesnt seem to come up quick enough for me. Like with many of my other brutes I have knock down in a few powers so it's easy to juggle tougher guys. I am wondering if I should take air superiority in this. I wouldn't take hover (never have) or fly. I just feel it needs more. Unless it does get better yet. I'm struggling with this shield recharge being so slow and the only knockdown. It would be better if they reduced the speed on that.
-
Hey thanks. I'll try this out. I have combat jumping i don't even use it right now. Maybe I should but If I could build with sets around not having this I would do it.
Thanks for taking the time on the build and answering questions, it's making a few things a lot more clear for me. You can do the expensive build too if you want. If I like it enough I'd try to get some or at least look out for the recipes in drops or architect ticket rolls.
