Fortune go my wife killed

As of the patch today when you are given a fortune you have to accept it again, seems like a retrograde step and to make things interesting you now have a graphic show when it's cast on you which stops you in your tracks for about 3-5 seconds which earlier today got my wife killed in a mission.

Wonder if this is intended? Has anyobe seen todays patch notes?

enough players whined about the auto-buff that the devs put the prompt back in.

Rumor has it that Pohsyb is working on a mechanism to add "ask / auto-accept / decline" to the options system.

I find that these two binds are very useful for closing popup boxes when you enter newpaper missions and accepting/declining buffs.

/bind y, dialog_yes
/bind n, dialog_no

Not a perfect solution, but they do help.

I like the prompt, but an option would be better and ultimately the only way we can ever be rid of the mystic fortune complaints.

Also, this topic makes me think of somebody saying "A MYSTIC FORTUNE KILLED MY HUSBAND/WIFE, YOU MONSTER!" at a random mystic fortune buffer.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

I'm one of those that prefers it without the prompt, although the ability to set it as an option would be fantastic.

I'm fairly sure that they didn't just bring it back for the lulz. They removed the prompt because it could be used to exploit the buff and get them all. I'd imagine they just removed the prompt to put a stop to it for the time being, and have now fixed it and put it back as it was.

I could however be totally incorrect.

Too bad they didn't fix all the MF exploits...

I'm glad the prompt is back. There are few things in the game more annoying than THAT "buff." And it wouldn't be so bad if so many people didn't feel I looked like I REALLY needed a mystic fortune buff right about now. Do I need to change my shirt or something?

Now I want to make a brooding vigilante character who is out to murder Mystic Fortune for killing his (parents/wife/dog.)

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

You know, as much as I find it handy not to have to click the prompt every time - there was one thing I missed about it.

...being able to tell who Fortune'd you! As I usually say "thanks" or Fortune them back where I can, but every time I can't see who did it, I feel a little guilty

Just wait till you all see the prompt we get for the Mutant Pack self buff!

Then your wife will really be killed. For real. [EDIT: Just in game though. Was only joking about the for real part.]

Blergh... why, it was working fine. Why return it to prompt mode?

I'm indifferent about the prompt, it's the 3-5 second interupting Graphic on the target thats an issue.
