Mystic Fortune Annoyance
At costume contest it's plain griefing.
At the market it is just pointless, but I still fail to see how people can really be annoyed by it THAT much. Especially from the hardly noticable Mystic Fortune.
Now, a Demon Summoning MM with his pets out. THAT is annoying when you're shopping.

It was more annoying to me in the market before the interface changes. Back then, with my weak machine, if I got speed buffed while trying to pull up the WW screen (which took quite a relative while back then in any case for me) I had a good chance of getting dumped off-line. Not nearly so bad now with the changes, though.
And, I'm sorry, only the stupid randomly buff people there. As has been said, it's of no use and merely serves to annoy.
Dec out.
Good lord. The whiniest 1% are going to get annoyance put BACK into the game. Hey while you're at it, can we get the looping sounds put back in. I miss the "atmosphere". And the rooting in Unyielding. I miss that too.
Criminy, you people are insufferable.
I think the best solution would be for them to add an option to delcine all buffs, or accept all buffs.
Having a window pop up each time someone wanted to give you a buff wouldn't be very practical, so it'd be better to just have the choice of declining them all in the options menu - that way, the people who wanted buffs could get them with no pop ups at all, and the people who didn't want buffs could play without getting the pop up windows either.

It's weird, of the people I know, only a few like that it's gone. I guess that means that around me, only the "whiniest 1%" don't want it back.
See, I can make up numbers too.

im glad they got rid of the popup, and now im VERY annoyed that they are bringing it back
next patch mystic fortune IS going to be an annoyance again instead of a nice passive buff i hardly notice
edit: discussion of patch notes on test server here and a LOT of poeple in that thread are against the change back to the popup
They just don't like when people hit them with a buff that makes noise when they are not running missions. Then again, I put anyone /ignore that has kicked me from a team because I asked that I not get SB in a cave. It's not fun and if I'm not able to move, what good is the buff anyway?

They have been adding small sounds to several of the buffs that didn't have them before. They add up when all you want to do is talk with your friends. Another way they can help with the people annoyed by driveby buffs is to cut all sound but the sound at casting. That would help a lot. It wont help with the people that can get headaches from the bubbles, but it would go a long way.

They should eliminate ALL looping sounds period. I haven't met a person yet who likes them (waits for first ever looping sounds fan to post.)

Quite frankly, we don't have to convince any players of anything.
I just find it sad how much people are unwilling to find some understanding and reach compromise.
It is a shame that the Developers seemingly can never do well enough. They have to hit everything 100% on the money, because, clearly, compromises and middle grounds are unacceptable for too many players.
No reason to be surprised though... it is very typical of humanity, hehe.
For every attack put on people who don't like the visuals or sounds or even the buffs... The same could be directed towards those so unhappy with the popup window. I love some people's reactions about how unreasonable someone who doesn't like the visual or audio is... But the same critic will point out how much the popup is unbearable.
It's funny how people haven't gone and attacked the popup "whiners" in the same manner.
Maybe that says something.
It's just lame and somewhat disgusting how people talk down to others.
How about having a little respect for differing opinions and recognize that until the developers spend the time and resources on working out an auto accept/decline feature for this power... The prompt is the compromise.
Some people do not want the power. Some people do. The prompt allows both to have what they want.
Some people have an issue with the prompt. Understand why it is there and... don't take it out on the people who don't want the power. Kindly suggest and ask for a way to create an auto accept and be understanding of differing opinions, playstyles and preferences, eh? Sheesh...

Hehe... While I've opened up the doors for me to post about this subject, I have one other thing to mention...
The power itself is about reading someone's fortune.
The prompt was sort of a, "Would you like me to read your fortune?" in a big grand, throwing magic cards that fly around you, sort of manner.
It made thematic sense for a prompt.
It's something you needed permission and compliance to perform.
That, along with all of the game differences (lasts 20 minutes, doesn't go away upon defeat, cast by any AT, blah blah blah) made the prompt seem very reasonable to me... and, apparently, to the Game Designers.

The main reason I don't like the prompt is if I miss the accept of it then I don't get the power.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Why MA ratings should be changed from stars to "like" or "dislike"

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:
I am doing something when I am at the markert. Using the markert
I'd rather be buffed in missions, street fighting or the like. I dont mind being random buffed in general, and I think most random buffing happens when fighting mobs on the streets, or around Ms liberty.
I dont need a thermal shield to protect against the evil markerteers. So the sound, change in stance, and graphics change is mildy annoying.
But people who drive by buff without thinking, or trying to annoy tend to do it in the markert.
Really, as the most annoying time I'd have to change my mind, from markert to at costume contests.
