  1. Wakfu is quite fun after 4 episodes and from what I've read really gets bumped up several notches in serious scope of story and action. Of note is that it is French dubbed (being a French-Japanese collaboration.

  3. Mystic. It has indeed been a fun ride. You have been a Liberty stalwart, and a gem of creativity on the server. You have a great costume design sense and a similar grasp of the game and how to play it. It's been great crossing paths with your myriad heroes in numerous scenarios. I wish you well beyond the war-walls.
  4. A worthy project, imo. It IS a bit weird that an A-List director like Fincher (see The Social Network) is having to resort to Kickstarter to get a project greenlit, but it might be intended as a demonstration of grassroots fandom. Having Clancy Brown (aka the Kurgan from Highlander and MANY others) and Paul Giamatti attached as the voice talent for the two primary characters makes me think this would be a pretty kick-*** production. That and THIS awesome trailer. I'm in for $75.

    TPN after MSR

Yep, last night was well done and fun, despite the miss on the PO badge. I was there on Priss, got three badges, a rare incarnate salvage and am now one VR from T4 Judgement. Pleased with the effort. Will try and make it next Friday, but will likely be working. Thanks for setting these up and running them Ukase.

  7. Looking increasingly epic. Goosebumps are gonna get tired before this thing gets on screen.

    Wacky Wednesdays

Last night Wacky Wednesday fun was +4/8 DA arcs. I was there with Suzi the Pest. Raven Lord, QP, Tenebrous, and other solid crew. Got some people some levels and got everyone some fun. Good times.
  9. Sad to see you go DaSlaya. While we didn't really have a lot of direct contact, I always knew if you were on the team, that we were likely solid to awesome. Best of luck in your post-CoH life.

    Wacky Wednesdays

I was there with my DB/SR Gabby Ginsu, I think. Very fun run. QP and Tenebrous were there too, I think, and Wulfrich.
  11. I've got 29 50's (of 47 active chars), all on Liberty. It's been a great ride. Was 2.5 years in to get my first.

Thanks for the teams and all the fun!
Thx Gel. This was my first MMO. From the beginning though, I wanted to play all the different ATs, so that I would have a reasonable expectation of what the other players are trying to do. I was disappointed at only getting 8 slots. I spent a lot of my time, regardless of build, street sweeping. That gave me a good understanding of risk taking and running away. I never really hated being defeated, unless it was repeatedly. I think the game ultimately isn't ever really 'hard', except fleetingly, to a character who has some IOs in them. That was always fine with me. I want my recreation to be mostly low stress. Life is tough enough without being uptight. I think a lot of "teh hardcore" gamers moved on, leaving people who don't really stress out over a defeat or six. But if someone does something long enough, he's bound to hit a stride.

There are a lot of great players with big, diverse casts of characters on Liberty. Since they busted open the numbers of slots to 48, people have been creating fantastic new characters and we are seeing some great concept chars with the new sets. I don't really have more than a couple of players who I would prefer not to team with on the server, and when I do get on teams with them, everything goes fine of course. I think the Liberty players have a great attitude.

I love /Ice (see above blaster roster). Chillblain, Ice Patch, Build Up, and the broken- fast recharge, safety net and security blanket extraordinaire, SHIVER! I fully admit to abusing Shiver, and loving it. Never got a taste for Chilling Embrace.
  14. You have over 9,000 on one character? That is some dedication. I have ADD. I see a cool powerset that I haven't played and I want to play it. I remember early in the game when I was on a defender tear; my leveling momentum with my Kin/Rad was totally disrupted when I saw a Rad defender sitting in the middle of Radiation Infection's cloud, surrounded by bad guys, and they were going, "whiff, whiff, whiff, whiff". I thought that was about the coolest thing ever, and made my Rad/Elec def.
  15. Well everyone. I'll pen a real farewell a bit later, but for the moment I thought I'd give a roll call of my current tribe of awesomeness on Liberty. You maybe have teamed with any number of them since I2 (My oldest char and second 50 is Priss Teen). I have about 9K hours in them combined, which is hard for me to wrap my head around. Ok enough prelude.

    Yeti's Crew

    Scrappers

Priss Teen (50) - DM/Inv (conceptually modeled on Pris from Blade Runner)
    2 Sweet (50) - MA/SR

    Lil' Sizzler (50) - FM/WP
    Gabby Ginsu (50) - DB/SR

    Defenders
Roy Battery (50) - Kin/Rad ftw! (My first defender)
    Jojo Harmony (50) - DM/Son
    Velmaveeta (50) - Emp/Psi
    Luis the Abducted (50) - Rad/Son (the hard-target softener)
    Volume-11 (50,will be tomorrow) - Son/Son
    Dodge This (45) - Emp/DP (Trinity tribute)
    People's Glory (42) - Kin/DB
    Cosmic Gerald (41) - Rad/DB

    Defender Hours - 1503

    Sound as a Pound (31) - Son/En
    Zapp Hannigan (26) - Beam/Ice

    Brute Hours - 382

    Everything Else
Suzi the Pest (50) - Fortunata (probably my most overall high-end character, and team contributor, my "ace")
She's Got Crab Legs (50) - Crab Soldier
    Jimmy Shelter (50) - Shield/Mace Tanker
Prime of Life (46) - Peacebringer
    Cosmicus (28) - Grav/En Dominator

That's the crew. Lots of characters got eliminated over the years, while bowing to the brutal limit of 12 chars (I never bought two accounts). I never managed to get into Masterminds. I think I would have like Doms if I had played them more. I never got a Warshade above 24, so I know I missed out on the fun of an IO'd out WS. Too busy scrapping. Who am I kidding, no regrets. Scrappers RULE.

    Honorable mention amongst deleted characters:
Toasty Tony - lvl 46 Fire/Kin troller, deleted for being too easy.
Zed's Dead - lvl 42 Kat/Reg Scrapper. Deleted for similar reason, but mainly just didn't have enough slots. Did miss him.
Beelzebooty - lvl 31 Rad/Elec. Just never had the synergy I wanted and had two other rad emission chars.

    Farewell

My only regrets Gel, are that I didn't network/team with some of the Sisterhood sooner in my CoH career. My early Liberty days were spent soloing primarily, for almost a full year, and then I was affiliated with the old school SG, Order of Phoenix or OOP, of whom Kill 'em All, Bushido Rhino, Yank Sheileileigh (sp) and Trueno were regulars. The SSEs from here on out will likely be as poignant as yesterday's Justin Augustine TF. I will be here' til the end, extracting all the fun possible from this great game and terrific community. This is the end of an era of gaming that has exceeded every expectation. It has been great making the acquaintance of pretty much every player on Liberty and The Sisterhood are social icons of the server. Thanks for giving all that you did GEL. It helped make Liberty the special community that it is.

    Where to now?

I'll be trying The Secret World. They have a three day free trial going on, so I can try it with no risk.
  18. I liked being in on the drafts I was involved. Fun thought exercises.
  19. I should be losing VIP status in the next 48 hours so won't be able to post on this forum any more. The majority of my posts over the years and especially the last several have been on this Board. I sometimes like "off-topic" boards, in various settings and you bunch of eccentric media sifters and esoteric otakus, including the venerable ShoNuff, who would no doubt be waxing nostalgic here if he could (if he is still VIP he still can of course), are about the best 'nerd' culture crew that I have known. It will be sad to see this cool community (even though it's a bit smaller than the 'glory' days of Westly vs GG vs other regulars rant-fest days) go away.

Thanks for all the weirdness and for helping me realize that I am not alone in this kooky world.

    -Chazz
  20. I added up all of my current 54 characters (46 on Liberty! Go Liberty!) and had a total of 9028 hours. I have deleted numerous level 30+ chars over the years, so I'll give myself another 1000 hrs for abandoned chars. Lets call it a solid 10K hours. That's about 400 solid days of super-heroic fun. Thank you Paragon City, for being a place where I felt like a hero.

You're asking them to make a simply colossal effort, which is what this is, for very little return. You know what, I think they're going to do nothing and continue to be mind bogglingly wealthy without the effort.
Best of luck with your unfortunate personality disorder.
  22. But CoH wasn't the lowest sales performer, Guild Wars (I) was.
  23. I am looking at the spreadsheets and report. Where are you seeing CoH-specific operating expenses?
